We used the cabin as a base for our visit to Acadia. It is very conveniently located so that visit to the north and south of the island is very easy. In less than 10 minutes you can get to a nice beach and watch the sunset. Local restaurants are also close by to grab local lunches and dinners.

This place was so beautiful and peaceful!! I would recommend to any friend. The inside was super clean and updated too! And i absolutely loved the bed, felt like the one I have at home! I actually said to my boyfriend a few times it actually feels like we’re at home right now not traveling. Super comfortable spot and rly friendly / helpful property manager! Thank you

The space was a perfect home base to fit our family during day hiking and exploring. We were able to fit in two pack and plays and were pleasantly surprised to find the AC even though it’s not mentioned in the listing.

My family and I truly enjoyed our time in Acadia! The host had so many wonderful tips for us as to places to hike and eat! Very welcoming and open communication when/if needed.
We will def. Be back to Acadia and hope to take advantage of some of the additional hikes recommended by the host.
We had an 18 month old and seven year old with us and we made it work in the space with the pack and play in the loft and 7 year old on the pull out couch.
With this house you are close enough to the hustle bustle of down town if you want to visit and enjoy, but far enough away for serenity and peace and quiet with a better opportunity to hike some of the less crowded trails with just as beautiful views! We did both sides of Acadia and enjoyed the quieter side with less people ans thought the views were just as beautiful, if not more beautiful!

The cottage was absolutely adorable with all the amenities of home in a small package. Very clean, modern yet that cottagey feel. The loft area for sleeping was very cozy, unique and the mattress very comfortable. The kitchenette area has most everything you could want down to an induction cook top, pots, pans and all cooking utensils. There is also a small stone campfire ring out back that we did use to have a small fire. Also is a bbq grill provided out back as well. The main living room area has a nice sofa, other seats, big screen tv of course (that we did not use). All in all we cant say enough about the cottage.......very homey!! Andrew and Nichole also are a very sweet couple. Even though their main residence is within 50ft, we never were disturbed by them whatsoever. They provided alot of up front information to us about local food, trails, things to do, etc....
All in all, we can only say AWESOME place!! You wont be disappointed what so ever staying hear! And, even though its on a main road leading to south harbor area, it was very very quite.

Cute property! Nice and out of the bustle of Bar Harbor but a quick drive. A little more remote than we expected, but plenty comfortable and hosts were very responsive. Thanks for the hospitality!

A very nice place in a rural, country setting, yet near many activities and restaurants. We enjoyed exploring Acadia National Park and Mount Desert Island from Misty Mountain Retreat. Everything was as advertised, clean and comfortable accommodations.
Although our stay collided with Tropical Storm Lee, the hosts kept tabs on us, making sure that we were comfortable and that everything was okay - excellent hosts.
We enjoyed Misty Mountain Retreat and would not hesitate to stay here again.

This is the perfect little cottage for two. It was wonderfully located near a small grocery store, a short drive from Acadia National Park and the Bar Harbor area. It was private and just absolutely lovely. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a great place to stay near Acadia.

Nice little cottage on the quiet side with all the basics. Outdoor space was nice to let our dogs roam a bit as there's not much of a shoulder on the busy road the house was located for taking them on a walk in the morning or at the end of the day. Lofted bed space is quite high so make sure those sleeping up there are okay with ladders, however the pullout sofa in the living area was quite comfortable as well

This house is super cute! It has everything you need, towels, pots and pans, sheets, dishes, utensils, and cleaning supplies. The refrigerator is apartment sized, but plenty big for the two of us. (Needs to be defrosted)
The water pressure is great, with plenty of hot water.
The pull out sleeper sofa is very comfortable. In fact we would love to know where it was purchased so we can buy one.
We were hoping the place had a stackable washer and dryer, but it did not, so pack accordingly. (Bring enough underwear!) Hahaha!
There is a gas grill in the back which we used, but it doesn't show in the picture. The picture should be updated, because it looks different with the privacy fence and the landscaping. The raspberries were delicious!
Be careful pulling out of the driveway, the cars drive fast around the corners. I would definitely stay here again!

This was the perfect place to stay with my wife! It was very close to Acadia and only a 20 minute drive to Bar Harbor. The Misty Mountain Retreat was very clean and quiet. Nicole had the perfect guide book for us to use for all of our outdoor adventures. Hiking is just around the corner and Seal Cove Beach is minutes down the road. We also loved driving to Gott’s for take out dinner and pizza. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway that is near all the sights- stay at this gem!

Stayed here for an anniversary trip to Acadia NP. House was very close by to the park and the owners had great information regarding areas closer to the house if you were interested in eating out, going swimming, and much more. Was equipped for everything we needed and was a cute little house for a getaway. Would definitely recommend this place!

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage for our time visiting Acadia NP. it was away from the hustle and bustle of the Bar Harbor tourism but still an acceptable distance to all destination points and trailheads we wished to explore. Even with the house on the property being in close proximity to the cottage and the shared driveway, we still felt secluded and had the privacy desired. All the necessities needed included and with fresh decor. A cute and simple place for a great stay.

This property has everything you need? Especially if you’re a couple. Can easily sleep 4 adults, but it would be tight. The owners were very responsive and have thought of everything. Even a milk frother for your coffee! Beds were comfortable. The ladder to the loft is very steep, but that’s what you get with a Loft! Place is perfect for crashing after a long day of hiking. Located near some cool parts of MDI too, that are much less busy than Bar Harbor

This cottage was a dream, and I can’t add much to what others have said—it looks like the pictures, exceeds expectations, is so well designed. My personal addition is that I have a Michigan Dutch mother and grandmother—iykyk!—and I think even they would pronounce this place spotless! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We stayed for a long weekend and used Andrew & Nicole's property as a basecamp to return to after hiking as much of Acadia as we could fit into each day. They were respectful of our privacy but also super cool to talk to when we ran into one another. The house itself is minimal but functional and really shows how much care and attention was put into bringing it all together. Be aware the bed is lofted, so if you have difficulty with a ladder you may end up sleeping on the pull-out couch. I promise you won't regret staying here!

We really enjoyed our stay for our hiking trip to Acadia. Great location near both the National Park, and only a short drive to Bar Harbor for great food and shopping options. The location of the stay is quiet and peaceful. It was well stocked with everything we needed.

My husband and I had a great stay! Super cozy place with everything one would need to feel at home. Extra perk, our 2 dogs were able to stay with us. About 20/30minutes from Acadia and Bar harbor, however there are some great hikes and sights within 10 min. Great place if you are looking for something out of all the hustle and bustle.

We had very nice stay. The home was extremely clean and considering it’s pet friendly you’d never be able to tell there were other animals there previously. The home has basically everything you could need. Linens, towels, cookware, dining ware, shampoo and soap, etc.
Whether you bring a pet or not there are several areas for walking that are only a mile or so down the road. Not far from places to eat and explore. The hosts provide a binder with some great things to try too which I appreciated!
Things to note - the driveway is shared, but we still felt very private. The home is on a busier road so you may hear some car traffic. If you have dog you might consider bringing a flashlight for night time bathroom trips as it gets dark outside.
Overall couldn’t be happier. A clean, well kept place to stay are my biggest needs and the fact that it is equipped with so many necessities is just a huge added bonus.

Perfect little cottage for two of us and our pup. Cottage vary very clean and had everything you need for a short stay. Close enough to bar harbor (about 20-25min) and acadia. Wonderful host with a nice little book of places to visit. Would definitely stay again if we come back to this area!
