perfect comms before the trip. great location and excellent facilities for up to six people.

Great stay

Great accomodation a short walk to the village Spotlessly clean & everything you would need. Owner lives downstairs but you wouldnt have known as not intrusive but always available if needed for advise.

lovely relaxing stay,great visit to Hawkshead and the Queens Head

space,comfortable furniture,duvet and bed. location 5 minute easy walk from Hawkshead everything we needed was available

perhaps there should be the option of a stair gate to block off the top of the stairs to young children,pets,etc

This barn was in an excellent location, clean and just out the way enough loads of room for 2 families plus 2 x dogs Amazing we had the best time

Only the location was bit tricky for our navigation may be our navigation was not updated but getting in and out of the property was bit tight.

Perfect stay

Great location. 1 minute walk to the gorgeous Hawkshead and plenty to see and do within half hour drive from property. Newly refurbished and well kitted out.

Very clean and newly refurbished. Beds comfortable. En-suite bathroom shower was great.

Description of property should state that the accommodation is a first floor apartment WITHIN the ‘beautiful 3 bed stone barn’. It’s easy to think you’re booking the whole barn.

Lovely home from home

Entire upper floor of barn cottage which is very nicely appointed and full of light. Beds very comfy and 2 spacious bathrooms. Lots of kitchen equipment. Outside area with large table overlooking fields. Property nicely tucked away but easy 5 mins walk into Hawkshead village. Pete the host is on hand downstairs but not at all intrusive. He was extremely friendly and helpful throughout, in fact going above and beyond when we had difficulty getting somewhere. Would have no hesitation in recommending this lovely spot.

Family get away with 4 adults, a baby and 3 dogs. Very comfortable and lovely location.

Lovely host, location and amazing home.

Only minor comment but bedding and towels smelt of smoke and some of the crockery was dirty.

A fantastic place to stay

The property was bright, clean, comfortable and with great views and easy walking distance to the pubs and shops in Hawkshead. Pete the host communicated with us before arrival well, was friendly, offered fantastic advice on local walks and even allowed us to drop of our bags earlier. All in all, a fantastic place to stay.

Struggling to find any negatives. Perhaps a couple of plants would make it even nicer!

A great stay in a lovely village property.

Fabulous location in hawkshead village. Good sized garden and lovely views of the hills and sheep! Modern interior and traditional slate exterior. Very clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful owner available when needed. Would like to stay again in the future.
