Breath-taking views.

The House Manager (Inge) called me days before I travelled and explained everything I needed to know about the house, she was fully available and helpful during the duration of my stay no matter the hour of the day, she was an exceptional host.

Beautiful house. Had everything we wanted and needed.

It is really cold (in the winter) and nearly impossible to heat with the single fireplace.

Space to relax, pool table, darts etc. Great view.

Lots of flies... I assume because of the cattle across the river... Maybe better at another time of the year. Some of the bathrooms take a long time to get hot water, feels like a terrible waste.

Do not book this place unless you like being stressed out of your mind

The home is beautiful. It is a pity that we could not actually experience it.

The whole experience. James the owner double booked us. We are a group of friends and family. We are on a road trip for my wedding. I booked this house at the end of September. I messaged James to ask and make sure that everything is in order because this is an important time for me. He assured me that it is and that I will absolutely love the place. I messaged James the same day as our check in to find out how the check in process work, he read my message and did not respond. 2 hours later I messaged again, this time the message did not go through. We then arrived at the property to find that someone else is checking in and that they double booked us. You can imagine my distress. We drove all the way from Durban to be told "sorry, we made a mistake". They were quick to take our money, which was a lot, but James could not give a damn about anything else. I was in absolute shock. He did not even have the audacity to apologize, not a word from him. The poor agent that was there got the wrath of me and it was not even her fault. She eventually managed to find other accommodation for us, but we ended up wasting 3 hours of our precious time and not to mention the stress it caused. James, you should be ashamed of yourself. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. You could not even pick up the phone to apologize. Instead you were like an ostrich with it's head in the sand. Sies, how could you!!! I will take this further if I do not get an acceptable apology from you. You caused me so much stress and anger and this 2 days before my wedding

Brilliant stay at a Dream location and house.

Location was amazing, remote, private and tranquil. House was as advertised with all listed amenities available. Was brilliant waking up to those views.

The stay was super. The attitude of the owner leaves a lot to be desired

The property is indeed a dream house

James, the owner’s attitude. Apparently the TV broke and he called about it. I explained to him that when I checked out it was working. He then called me during the week and I was busy so I said I would call him back which I forgot. After this I recieved a rude and childish text sms. I expected better from him

Out of the ashes, a wonderful family home with a happy atmosphere has arisen

The location is beautiful. We had a wonderful family get together, my 3 grown up children came over to visit us at Cloud 9. We swam, played table tennis, darts, pool, braaied. The various sitting areas offer different groupings of people to do different things. Whilst some are watching TV, others can be quietly chatting or sun tanning or working on their laptops. We really enjoyed the house. An added feature is that Cloud 9 is pet friendly. We could have stayed for much longer. There is a lovely feeling of being in a home and not in a commercial guest unit.

We got up early on our last morning to have a nice chat or a coffee with each of the kids as they left. After waving them off, we were about to shower and make breakfast ourselves, when the cleaning lady walked in before 8am and started cleaning up around us as we tried to make food. I went upstairs to shower and she was stripping the bed. I had to close the shower blinds because there was a man in the garden. We left well before 9am, but felt that we'd lost the last few hours in this spectacular house.

Absolutely Amazing Property!

Amazing house catering for EVERY wish; activities for all (12yrs old+), super en suite bedrooms; Terrifically equipped kitchen location tooo beautiful for words; terrific owner plus staff - both flexible and friendly; Loads of sitting space both inside and outside Feeling of remoteness but 5mins into Knysna centre or waterfront Cleanliness to be recommended In short: go and stay there and experience tranquility, beauty, luxury and just relax because everything works!!!
