About this cottage rental

Beautiful and charming Bahamian cottage in a quiet and safe area on the western side of Nassau. We also have another unit available for 2 more persons on the same property. The cottage has his own modern television and brand new computer that is connected to the television. The beach is very private and only 20 seconds away! The sea is warm and perfect for a romantic escape.

This cottage has its own Air Conditioning. There is a queen sized bed with a brand new mattress for two persons. There is a dining table with four chairs. Your clothes can be washed in the washing machine and there is also a dryer. The kitchen includes a brand new stove(oven combo)and refrigerator. You will also have a dishwasher, microwave, dishes, cutlery, glasses and pans. There are (beach)towels enough!

The house all yours! The property has a gate and you will receive a remote to open it. A rental car can be parked within the gates. You will have direct access to our private beach. There is also a BBQ available outside. Outside you may take the zero gravity chairs to any place you want. Feel free to walk around the property!

It's vital to rent a vehicle to explore the island. We can help you rent a vehicle for an affordable price.

We had the chance to get away for one weekend to the Bahamas and this was a great place to do it! Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We arranged to rent a car from them at a very reasonable price and Elike even picked us up from the airport, which was extremely helpful. The cottage where we stayed was very nice, clean and well maintained. It had everything we needed for the stay. We bought groceries and made breakfast and evening meals there. We had access to the beach via our hosts backyard and we saw lots of wildlife such as ducks, sea birds, fish and small swimming crabs. The cottage was in Coral Harbor in the South East of the Island. Renting the car was a great option that allowed us to get around easily. It was a lot of fun driving around , although it was a very different experience to driving at home. We visited several places including a cave that was full of bats and downtown Nassau where we took a boat trip out to Rose Island to see swimming pigs. We also visited Love beach twice which was great for snorkeling and rock pooling. We had a great time! Thoroughly recommend it!

We went to totally relax, no agenda to see or do touristy things. We definitely were able to achieve our goal. Lots of beach walking, reading, and relaxing in Paradise. Just steps to a sandy almost deserted Beach. Accomodations were superb everything was supplied for us.

The property is very clean and there's a lot of beach towels you can use. Kitchen is well equipped. The beach area is very empty! Definitely recommend anyone who wants to get away from the north side of overdeveloped area!

Jan & Eilike were V hospitable and responsive, and the cottage was exactly as advertised. If you are looking for a quiet spot close to the airport, you can't beat it. It is also a big plus to be able to rent a car at their price.

The cottage was very cozy and the owners are very responsive to anything you might need. The beach is perfect and quiet. Most days we were the only ones on the beach. The only thing to keep in mind is that the location is a little ways from most restaurants so you will want a rental car and to consider making your own food. The owners were able to let us rent their car for a great price and picked us up from the airport so it was all quite easy! We would definitely stay here again!

Safe and quiet location with plenty of space for two people. Awesome beach access. Renting a car through the host was extremely easy. Host was very accommodating. We enjoyed trying fresh coconut water and sugar cane during our stay!

You know when you long for peace and tranquility... well Sugar Plum beach house brings exactly that. The accommodations were spotless, the hosts were fabulous, the beach was RIGHT THERE, twenty paces away from our patio... with clear sand, sparkly blue ocean and not another person in sight! We cannot recommend this vacation spot highly enough and will certainly be back. Thank you, Jan and Ellike!!

The host was very prompt and attentive to our needs. The house was pictured and described accurately. I feel as the outside maintenance of the property could have been better maintained but in the summer heat I’m sure it is challenging to do so. I would suggest visiting Jaws Beach and Clifton Heritage Park. Clear and blue waters.

What an amazing spot to kick back and relax. The hosts were amazing and so helpful! They let us use a kayak to explore the private beach. The views were unmatched. Will def be coming back!

Loved this easy to get to property. Quick walk through the side gate to the beach and access to flats for fishing and paddleboarding. Thanks for having us as the place was super clean and very comfortable!

We absolutely loved the cottage. The kitchen had everything you needed to make meals, everything was very clean and private. The bed was pretty comfortable, and the laundry was a big plus!! You can't see the beach from the cottage, but it is a very short walk through the property, which is filled with fruit trees and palms. The beach was small, but nice, and very quiet. It's an easy walk up the beach to a nice little beach bar/cafe that had great food. Our hosts were fantastic, very welcoming and accommodating. They are absolutely right that you need a car to explore the island. We rented a car from our hosts and it was a nice fuel-efficient wagon. Just remember that driving is left side of the road!! If you are looking to be in/near the city, this is not the place for you, but that's one of the reasons we enjoyed it so much. We spent most of our time at Clifton Heritage National Park and Jaws beach which are peaceful, private, have great snorkeling and are close to the rental! Thank you Elike and Jan for a great stay, we'll be back!!

We enjoyed staying here. It was near the airport although a little distant from downtown Nassau and the resort areas. This posed no problem for us as we had transportation. Safe. Hosts were friendly and accommodating. Would stay here again.

My wife and I were in Nassau to celebrate our anniversary, and were looking for a place to stay that was going to be away from the chaos of the resorts and downtown Nassau night life. This was definitely the place! We rented a car from the hosts rather than secure transportation services from elsewhere. Being from the US, driving a right hand car in the left lane was a little stressful at first. But if you don't get into a huge hurry and take your time, you'll be just fine. Elike and Jan were wonderful hosts and very respectful of privacy and space. The cottage was simple and comfortable with everything you need in terms of dishes, towels, etc. There is a very nice grocery store within approx. 20 minutes drive from the cottage to get the fridge stocked. Just about everything has to be imported, so getting the groceries and cooking some of your meals saves quite a bit of money. You're on the southwest-ish side of the island and downtown Nassau is on the opposite side of the island. Rush hour traffic (@ 8 & 5) on New Providence is NO JOKE. A lot of folks are heading to work and just as many kids are headed to their respective schools. I recommend either starting your day in downtown early, at stupid-o'clock, to avoid some of the traffic craziness unless you've got a driver. Either way, you'll be on the road and in traffic for approximately 1.5 hours. Some of the drive leaves you sitting in sketchy areas of the city, but my wife and I were very obviously not Bahamian, and we didn't have any negative experiences along the way. Traffic back to the cottage was the same. In summary... Great place to stay if you're wanting to relax and avoid the crowds! Park at The Pointe if you go downtown. Go to Jaws Beach! It's a short drive, and a really pretty beach to hang out and relax. We had the beach almost to ourselves. Go to Clifton Heritage National Park! Pay the fee! You'll get access to the park and there are a couple of very nice beaches to enjoy as well. They offer snorkeling also, which we didn't get to try because we didn't find the place until too late on our last day on the island. But it was cheaper than doing one of the "excursion" trips you'll find (i.e. Pearl Island, Blue Lagoon, etc.). There are Solomon's Fresh Market bags in the bottom drawer of the island in the kitchen. Grab them before you go to the store or you'll have to buy some at the store. All in all, highly recommend staying with Elike and Jan in Coral Harbor! Thank you, guys!

Wife and I enjoyed a quiet beach week away from tourists. Hosts were very helpful and friendly. Coral Harbour Cottage was just as described. Steps from the water, through the hosts' fenced back yard. We took twice daily walks on our beach and swam there a few times. Lots of shells and coral to be found. It is a reasonable drive to peaceful and scenic Jaws Beach and the beaches within the Clifton Heritage National Park. Flipper Beach is another beautiful and peaceful spot. Highly recommend Coral Harbour Cottage to people not wanting the crowded and overpriced Paradise Island/Atlantis/Baha Mar experience.

My wife and I had an amazing stay at Elike's cottage. Elike and her husband are extremely friendly and helpful. There is a great beach a short (30 second) walk away. We used this beach for walking and sunbathing. Within a 15 minute drive there is also Jaw's Beach, which was our personal favorite, and we went there most days for swimming. Love Beach was also spectacular and had the softest white sand! I'd highly recommend this cottage for a quiet, romantic getaway for couples!! It was tough coming back home!
