Special

Exceptional detail with the external and internal interior. Our room had a large balcony special view of Matera it was magical. Friendly and helpful staff.

Enjoyed my stay

It was very hot outside, room has great aircon. Very comfortable.

Breakfast may be good for Italians. For British people there is too much sweet stuff.

Happy to be able to take advantage of their great value for a last minute getaway.

This was a last minute getaway. We were very happy to have the high quality room at this price. It was a great value. This was one of the few place where we could say the air conditioning worked really, really well. The room was a little small, but there was also a small but there was also a small bonus room that helped. Great location and good breakfast options.

good location , nice bathroom , heavy furniture, no phone plugs in tbe room

the location

i bumped my head at the closed glass door entering the lobby . they should keep it open . the coffee machine served the worst coffee I have ever had. the furniture in my room was super heavy looking , the pillows so hard it gave me a terrible neck pain. I woke up in the middle of the night with a lot of pain in my neck and had to take medicine for the pain . no outlets to plug in my phone by the bed . no extension cords in the reception to borrow.

Great stay in the center of Matera.

Perfect location to explore the Sassi of Matera. Smart hotel, very friendly and helpful front desk and an excellent breakfast.

The location was superb.

The free breakfast was a disaster. Old food, machines that didn't work, very limited choices, etc. I would expect a better quality breakfast experience for the room price.

The location and the staff were excelent.

The bathroom was very, very small. We were 2 persons in the room and there was only one set of towels, 1 tiny soap and 1 tiny bath wash.

I was put in a unrefurbished room which was old fashioned and not very pleasant, not all the rooms look like they do on this site!

No iron, cold shower, no shampoo, comfy pillows.

The bed and pillow were very comfortable.

The hotel said they didn’t have a single iron available. Literally everyone staying at a hotel (packing their clothes in a case) needs an iron. I could not believe they didn’t have a single iron in the entire building. I was travelling for a wedding and had a creased suit. No shampoo was provided, only shower gel. I stayed two nights and on the first day, the shower was cold / lukewarm.

Very convenient. I am sure there are many more spectacular hotels and b&b’s in Matera, but this suited our needs. Centrally located, very close to easy parking, clean, and nice staff.
