About this house rental

The Blue Pelican is a spacious newly built 2 story home located across the street from the beach featuring beautiful Gulf and beach views. This luxurious home features over 3,000 sq feet of living space to spoil your whole family without feeling crowded. The kitchen, living room and dining area feature breath taking views of the Gulf waters. The chef inspired kitchen features Electrolux appliances including a dishwasher. The Blue Pelican has 5 bedrooms/5 bathrooms with TWO Master suites. The upstairs Master Suite as well as the living room feature flat screen 4K UHD Smart TV's with Surround Sound Bars. The other 3 bedrooms also have flat screen 4K UHD Smart TV's. The 5th bedroom can be a bedroom or sitting room/tv room. We also have an extra dining area for the kids. You can enjoy beautiful sunsets on the deck while using the outdoor grill and outdoor dining area. Enjoy your morning coffee on the upper deck watching for dolphins and the shrimp boats going by in our sparkling waters.

The property could not have been in better location. Very close to the casinos, restaurants, and a great view / deck facing the ocean. It was extremely spacious, clean, and accommodating with lots of bathrooms, large tv, fully equipped with cookware, misc. supplies, coffee, etc., which we really appreciated traveling from Texas. The host was very kind, responsive, and the check in/out process was a breeze. I would rank everything about the property and host as a 10/10 and highly recommended. Without a doubt would stay here again next time I’m in town!

We stayed at the house for 4 days, we had a lovely trip the check in process was easy, the home was clean, and well stocked. The home was just as pictured on the listing. The only issue we had is that the grill wasn’t working during our stay, but when I called to ask about the grill I was told a replacement had been ordered. This was a bummer because we were planning to cook out during our stay.

Best VRBO stay ever. Ever. House is perfect. The host has made it obvious he wants you to want for nothing and only have a great vacation. Large details like the kitchen being BEYOND fully-equipped, premium & abundant porch furniture, outdoor kitchen, luxury bedding, dehumidifiers for your comfort, big-ass TV in family room, … and on and on. Small details like toiletries provided in every bathroom, dish soap, laundry soap, cleaning supplies, coffee (both Keurig pods & drip) provided, spices for cooking, plastic & foil in the pantry, beach chairs & beach cart (phenomenal!), … and on and on. We had 8 people, space for all, cooked many meals, grilled outside, washed clothes, enjoyed plenty of beach time (right across the street - beach to ourselves every day), casino time, relaxing time, … and on and on… So good. No checkout duties imposed on the guest. Best VRBO stay ever. More good stuff than I can cover here. Thank you Barney (James).

Overall, the house was nice. There were a few details that needed attention. First, the gas grill outside has a slow leak at the connection. We smelled gas all the while outside. There was a leak in the ceiling, over the kitchen table that dripped onto the table. The TV had an issue with the remote. We could not get it to change channels. It was stuck on the opening channel. And last, the WiFi log in was incorrect. After we finally figured it out, we called the manger to let him know so he could correct the check-in info. We thought he might come over to do a look-see with us, but we never saw him or heard from him. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but they do need to correct a few things for the price they ask to rent it.

We stayed here for my boyfriend's 40th birthday. It's simply beautiful. From the views on the deck to the beautiful interior. It had everything we needed plus more. Never been more comfortable in a house that wasn't home like this one. Even the beds are amazing. We will definitely book again. Thank you Mr. James for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.

Never thought that our rental could possibly live up to the photos but it did that and more! It’s a lovely, well appointed home that is stocked better than my own home! Not kidding! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was the perfect beach house for our group. We enjoyed the fact that everyone was able to have our own bathroom with our bedrooms. The kitchen is perfectly set up. We cooked everyday and the kitchen had everything we needed. The outdoor kitchen was fabulous as well. This is an easy 5 star rating. This property is a gem. It’s spacious, perfectly located, extremely clean, well appointed to meet most any need, and it’s owned/operated by locals. James and his family were quick in response to questions and needs before and during our stay. From ample toiletries to a beautifully equipped kitchen, most every need is anticipated. I highly recommend this place for groups and families in search of an idyllic stay on the Mississippi Gulf coast.

This was our second stay at James's property right on the coast and we loved even more than the last. This was most likely do to things being familiar. The location is fantastic. You are just minutes from the Beau and sitting out on the porch overlooking the gulf is a great way to start and end the day. Plan on staying again on our next trip and it would be very hard to find a single issue with this house or location.

My husband and our friends stayed in this beautiful home for a long weekend; we had the best time! There was so much space for all 12 of us and the back porch may have been the best part of the house. We could walk across the street to go to the beach or hop in the car and drive down the street to get to restaurants and casinos (I feel like it was less than a 5 minute drive). We will definitely book here again and maybe book the sister property to have more friends join us! Thank you for such a memorable weekend!

Our weekend getaway with 6 couples was so awesome! The house was clean and gorgeous! Each couple had their own private bedroom. (Living room sofa bed included) Fully stocked with supplies. Includes a game room on first level with a pool table and foosball table. We played corn hole under the breezeway. Nice front deck with a perfect view of the beach and close to Beau Rivage and Hard Rock. Overall excellent stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this property. This was by far the cleanest vacation rental we've ever stayed in. The home was spotless and had high-end appliances. Everything you need is there, and if you love to cook, you will enjoy the Chef's kitchen! The check-in process was super easy. The rooms and bathrooms are large. There were plenty of towels and toiletries. There are two cons, however. One of the couches in the living room is in bad shape, it's like sitting in a hammock – the springs can be felt. The other negative, which I understand cannot be changed, is that the house is really close to a busy road. If you are a light sleeper, keep that in mind. The road goes in both directions and stays busy 24 hours a day, which makes it tricky when trying to cross the road to get to the beach. If you have small kids or elderly guests this can be quite dangerous. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

The Owners/Management obviously take pride in their offerings, don’t pass these units up, as you wont forget its functionality, fun, convienence and comfort!!
