It was an older hotel that has been maintained nice and clean. Friendly staff. Felt very safe.

The pool and hot tub were very clean and nice. It was a very quiet stay. Breakfast area nice and clean with good coffee, fresh fruit with other options for breakfast.

The beds were a bit too firm for my liking, but not bad.

Decent place to stay just needs some tweaks.

Convenient location, pet friendly, reliable Wi-Fi. The housekeeping staff were EXCEPTIONAL!!! Also, the front desk staff were very friendly, hospitable and helpful.

Room smelling of cigarette smoke because of proximity to area people choose to smoke outside. Side door for accessing outside pet area was basically inoperable during entire stay. It would quickly flash green when using key card, but latch on door would not release, so it necessitated going back through lobby (inconvenient, especially in inclement weather). Shower sprayed wildly out of shower head, making containment challenging and resulting in a very wet bathroom floor. Also, while using shower, it would make a loud screeching sound because of the water being restricted from the tap to come out the shower head.

The room was good, a little dated and the yellow walls need to go, but overall pleasant and clean.

Good overall

We were able to check in early which helped us out tremendously. We were on the first floor very convenient roan outside door which was great for our 2 dogs. They charge $25 per fee per stay. We did not eat breakfast. We saw others enjoy the pool. Parking was convenient and safe

Great For a Quick Stay

Beds were comfortable. Room was very cold (air conditioner was running) when we arrived.

The walls were dirty. Lots of hand marks. Extremely loud guests. I understand this isn't the hotels problem, but there should be some sort of sound policy, especially late at night.

We stayed 2 nights. There were people in the hallway making a lot of noise well past 10:00.

It was easy to get on and off the freeway.

The property is clean but a bit shabby. It needs updating.

Sandman Inn

The front desk staff was very kind. Continental breakfast was great, especially for kids. TV channel options were good. 24-hour pool availability was wonderful. The heater worked well, especially during colder days. More than enough lighting, and lamp options in the room. The lighting on the mirror for getting ready was perfect.

The treadmill was out of order. Our room looked like it had not been vacuumed, there was a disposable fork left on the ground next to the nightstand. Our shower had an opened used hotel soap stuck to the upper part of the tub, the shower curtain had brown dirt fingerprints on the fabric. Just an FYI for personal preference there's no elevator to the second floor. Pack lightly.

the location

seemed dirty. the floor needed vacuumed. The hair dryer was broke with hair stuck in it. No light above the shower so it was very dark. the comforters were dirty. they were turning brown from being used so much and not washed. the room above us was jumping or moving furniture most of the time.

not a lot of quality places to stay in La Grande. this one has nice staff, good location, and goes quiet early due to workers staying there.

Terrible find another motel there are lots nearby!

Terrible.

The breakfast was almost ineatiable, there really wasn't anything good about it. Most of the food stale, very poor selection and nothing worth eating. If your going to be driving all day you want something reasonable to get started. Don't stay here! The out side door to the rooms was broken and wouldn't open to the room card. Had to stick a suitcase to hold the door open and I had to get my wife to come open it twice before we stuck the open. Others had the same issue.

Room size very nice. Staff pleasant at check in desk .

Found items left in drawers and under bed. No TV or info guide in room. Missed the notepad and pen...although person at desk was quite sweet to give me one when I made mention at checkout. Also got coffee when dispenser was empty at breakfast.
