Facilities at Adbolton house

The facility was clean and spacious, very good quality for money. Neighbours were also polite and friendly. Local to shops and post office and the town centre 15mins away by car.

I had to pay an additional £250 before I was able to get the code for the door. ( When I booked the accommodation through booking I paid in full ) however, what they don't tell is that there is an additional security fee of £250. This was not highlighted through the booking, and they also required names of everyone staying, even though I booked for a family of 4. Also, the thermostat is set already so difficult to change.

Do not book with Prim Short Stay Ltd.

NOTE I did not stay at this address. I was given an alternative property at short notice Flat 1, 98 North Sherwood Street This property was terrible. Do not book with Prim Short Stays Ltd. There was no hot water and no resolution for the whole stay. No hot water and when I complained, I was repeatedly asked to check the isolation switch and check it was switched on. I told them this was the first thing I checked (which involved reaching under a dirty, dusty sink in a confined space) and even sent a photo. I was then sent a video on how to swith on an isolation switch. No offer to come and repair or change accommodation. Location is terrible, drunken noise until early hours. Filthy parking area with bins and rubbish and derelict buildings as the view from the apartment. Police presence and antisocial behavior, with police incidents and arrest just outside the property. Apartment in bad state of repair with multiple marks and stains on walls, broken radiators, dirty marks on sofa bed, greasy pans and stairs and entrance hall was filthy with cigarette buts, mud and other litter. Light in bathroom is on a sensor which didn't turn off, meaning the extractor fan ran all night. Bad smell in bathroom too.

Too insecure to stay.

Upon arrival Front door to apartment physically wide open, front door to apartment block physically wide open. Clearly the apartment had no security at all, which was very unnerving. In the absence of any security we were left with no option but to find somewhere else.

I like the spaciousness and the accessibility of the apartment. I also liked all the amenities, as well as, the cleanliness.

The mattress was uncomfortable and no mattress cover. Also there were no face wash clothes.

never imagined I’d be woken each morning at 6 am by people in the upstairs apartments

wasn’t aware that I had to pay 250 pound deposit to them and then have to wait 72 hours after departure to hope to get a refund. also wasn’t aware the other units would be full of noisey people getting ready for work at 6am both mornings. waking me up then having fire alarms tested at 8,30

Disappointed

Nice property but found it the unclean then the property accusing me to leave it unclean after spending over £2000 and still holding my deposit of £250 over a £5 table lamp which we found broken. Nice property but very poor management. They will even ignore your emails when you leave to keep your deposit longer. Very poor management!

It was clean and comfortable exactly like the photos. 3 bed apartment is the only apartment on 2 floor. It was quiet also just slight road noise during rush hour. The washer dryer was great as I was there for 4 nights. Only 2 pans (a frying pan and a sauce pan) but that was sufficient for me. Oven, microwave, nice comfy sofa with a big tv. co op opposite for shopping so all in all a home from from home.

There was a lack of mirrors one small one in the hall but not near a plug to dry your hair and up too high. A full length one in the hall and one near a plug in a bedroom for drying your hair etc would be perfect, I note a couple if people have commented on this so it’s a shame these comments have been ignored. if I’d have been there due longer another pan in the kitchen would have been nice, again I saw this in other reviews too. It’s nice that the company acknowledges the reviews but not much point if they don’t intend to act on them.

I liked the fact that I have almost everything I need in the apartment, from cookware to utensils, fresh sheets and towels, I give it a 5 star.

It was nice and warm

The pans are not suitable for an electric hob rendering it nearly useless, even to just cook eggs. There were no net curtains, which meant it was quite dark during the day.

The only thing I didn’t like was the bright blue-white lamps everywhere that honestly gave me a bit of a headache. Need some warm white colour standing lamps!

The check in process was poor. Firstly, it was overly bureaucratic requiring online check ins and document uploading. Secondly, despite us following all of the pre check in procedures, we still didn't receive the access codes for the door until the afternoon we were due to check in, delaying our journey. I had to send multiple emails, and make multiple phone calls to get the codes we needed to be able to enter the property. Very poor customer service. Don't use this property unless you have many available hours to chase the hosts.
