Oak South 126 - Dahl Haus Cottage
Our calendar is updated in real-time & our nightly rates are accurately displayed. Simply enter your desired dates and click 'Book Now!'
When the Dutch invented the concept of 'hygge' - a feeling or moment, whether alone or with friends, at home or out, that is cozy, charming, or special - they must have envisioned a place just like Dahl Cottage. From the hidden bunk beds behind a hand-painted mural to the industrial-chic light fixtures, this studio is nothing short of delightful. And with a location right off Telluride's Elk Park and steps from shops, bars, and restaurants, you'll be in the middle of it all.
The well-equipped kitchen includes a small eat-in table and a full-size refrigerator, so you can pack it full of your adventure essentials. The main living area has a queen bed and two twin Murphy beds in the wall. Pull them down and comfortably sleep four. Watch television and sit in the two wingtip chairs as you enjoy some downtime. Really, this concept of hygge translates into everything you need, and nothing you don't.
Guests will be ideally located in the town of Telluride, just walking distance of shops, restaurants, and the free gondola.
If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting ‘Yes’ to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The pet fee is per stay and ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle.
Ski shuttle details: There is a free shuttle bus called the Galloping Goose that loops the circumference of town. There are various bus stops where you can load up your ski's and take a ride to the Gondola.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page.
Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.

This was the cutest place to stay! I brought my pug and we enjoyed being able to walk to Main Street (literally like half a block) and he was comfy while I enjoyed the world-class skiing! The gondola was about a block walk. Seriously the location couldn’t have been more perfect! I loved this place :)

The bunk beds were amazing for our small kids.
The space was all we needed when skiing. Location Downtown was fantastic; could walk to gondola, dinner, downtown.
Really nice to have a parking spot.
Needs a working dryer (it did it dry- kept turning off ) and wine glasses.

The location makes this property worth it, tucked in the alleyway in the middle of everything. Walkable to everything the town of Telluride and Mountain Village have to offer. Downside is that you will hear people walking around upstairs. You will be surrounded by dumpsters used by the local shops and restaurants. There is no view and no storage for clothes. Having said that, it was great for a couple and dog who spent most of their time outdoors.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Daul House Cottage. It was absolutely perfect for me and my 3 boys. We'd never been to Telluride before, thank you for making it a wonderfully comfortable experience.

Property is well maintained and easy walk to gondola. Perfect location in town. House has everything you need and despite being small the space is well designed. Beds including pull
out bed were comfortable. Will definitely be back.

We came into town for business. Very central location near the market, dining and gondola. The little kitchen is great for early risers who need coffee and a snack. It is in an alley, so you hear what you would in an alley.

Cozy & small for 3 people. Two would be more comfortable. The kitchen is nice and well stocked but the table is wobbly. Uncomfortable, hard, bunk bed matresses need to be replaced. The "sliding" door to the bathroom was terribly frustrating. The door does not slide at all. All three of us spent the entire stay wrestling and cursing the door. (i.e. Push on the top of the door while also trying to pry it open without a handle. Get the door a little way open and try to squeeze yourself past it. Get woken up in the middle of the night by someone trying in vain to get into or out of the bathroom with the door making terrible grating noises.) Real fun. 😞

This cottage is a real gem, and couldn't be more conveniently located. Well-updated, clean, and charming. Great amenities for a smaller space, like washer/dryer, kitchenette, and private parking. Can't wait rebook and visit again!

We went to Telluride to escape the heat in Santa Fe. This little getaway was in a super location, clean and well appointed. Unfortunately for us, it was hot. It seemed almost as if the heat was on as it was significantly cooler outside than in. Otherwise it would get 5 stars.

This condo is affordable and in the middle of everything. But you need to be flexible over the noise, very basic aged interior amenities, and cramped parking. It was worth it to us.

My husband and I stayed at Dahl House with our dog and it was a wonderful experience. Parking was available right outside our door and while there was no fence there were great places nearby for our dog to do his business. Its a qaint, older house close to restaurants and shopping so it feels a bit like city living in a small mountain town. No washer/dryer or dishwasher so plan for that. Definitely a pet friendly home.

This home was the perfect cozy spot in an incredible location!! Just 2-3 minute walk from the free gondola! We’ll definitely be back!
The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in!! And you can see the mountain from 3 different windows!
We loved the provided shampoo, conditioner, and lotion!
I hope the fireplace can be repaired soon, because a warm fire would have made this stay better match up with the online listing. But things break & need repairs and that’s ok.
We also wish there were wine glasses in the home! Maybe for next time!

Very convenient to everything in the town and the gondola. House needed a bit of updating but it was adequate for our needs.

This little studio is ideal for 2. It's got everything you need for a stay - lots of comfy bedding, full kitchen, and a homey feel. Perfectly located 2 blocks from the main gondola. We will be back for sure!

We enjoyed this apartment. We were right near the grocery store. It had a little courtyard. The parking was a bit tough, but once we figured it out it worked out just great. I would definitely stay there again.
4.5
The location was incredible, but the place has some significant wear and tear. The washer/dryer didn't work and we had to air dry all of our things (when we wanted to get back on the mountain). Also, the check-in/out times were not the most convenient (4pm-11am).

I was traveling by myself and this little space was cozy and steps away from restaurants and shops.

This is a beautifully decorated miners cabin on a quiet street in the middle of everything. Easy, free parking too.

We have been to Telluride several times and this spot was by far our favorite!! Perfect location in the center of town, comfy bed and great customer service!! We will definitely be back!! Thank you!!

The condo was comfortable but it needed a king bed and the bathroom window wouldn’t close

My family stayed at this property for a week long ski trip. The place is in an ideal location to all of the activities in town, the gondola and chair 8. It all seemed to be about a block away. The location could not have been better, and staying in town was certainly the right move here. There seems to be more of a soul in town rather than in mountain village. We would definitely stay here again.
While our family of 4 stayed here, it was basically like a large hotel room with a nice sized kitchen and eating area. For our purposes it was perfect. We only ate breakfast there and then crashed at the end of the day.
The place was cute, but had a bit of wear and tear on it. This was particularly evident in the bathroom, as there was a bifold door in the bathroom that did not close properly. This was because of the washer/dryer combo protruded out too far. Additionally, the dryer function did not work, which is something we were informed about 2 weeks prior to our arrival. No way to repair? COVID funky supply issues? Who knows? But a bummer nonetheless. We were supplied with a drying rack for various clothes that might be wet. Which I suppose is better than nothing.
The place is a back unit that you enter off the alley. Not a big deal, but don't expect a grand entrance.

It’s a great location to explore Telluride. A block away from the ski lift and next to everything you could need. That being said, the place is a little run down and dated. There is no mirror in the bathroom, or at all. The heater is difficult to use. The place is in an alley so not the best views and when people are upstairs it sounds like a stampede. All in all I liked it, but for what you’re paying in Telluride, they could afford to send a handyman or get a mirror.

The location was great but there was a lot of stuff (6 chairs and nonworking fake fireplace, that is removable but is marked 'not working') that could be removed to make the space feel less cluttered.
The apartment could also benefit from some upgrades (lots of wear and tear) and the dryer didn't work which was frustrating as we planned to do some wash.
Finally, while the place is very quaint and overall we enjoyed our stay, the check-in/out hours weren't ideal (check in at 4pm, checkout by 10am).
