Rustige, fijne plek!

Prachtige plek, gratis water en het was ‘s nachts erg stil.

Er zat bloed in de lakens, we moesten iets verder lopen naar het centrum en de afvoer rook niet zo fris. We misten een lange spiegel. Kleine details.

The price is reasonable, wifi worked, Netflix was nice. A raccoon family lives there, don't be afraid of them. People feed them so they are comfortable around people (they don't have rabies!). If you leave food in your garbage can outside your door, they will probably visit and who can blame them.

Be prepared to be scammed by invented "tourists taxes." If you talk to other tourists and locals, you will find out there is no such thing, certainly not to the extent that is charged. Bring an extra 500-1000 pesos in cash and see if you can get a receipt.

Hotel bien, environnement et l'île c'est une autre histoire

L'endroit est calme, c'est correct. Literie ok, les voisins du dessus s'entendent trop bien. Chambre confortable.

Environnement et acces compliqué des qu'il pleut u. Peu. Il vaut mieux utiliser un taxi . La plage sympa de l'île est au dessus de la ville vers mosquito. Franchement déçu de l'île, à chacun sa conception du "paradis"

L'emplacement tranquille à 10 minutes à pied du centre. Le personnel sympa et à disposition. La piscine, les hamacs, la cuisine, le frigo à disposition. Le lit géant. L'ambiance relaxante qui se dégage. La relative proximité avec la faune locale qu'on parvient à apercevoir.

Pas la faute de l'hôtel mais il faut ajouter 10% du prix en taxe à l'arrivée (on aimerait le savoir à l'avance). La climatisation un peu bruyante. Pas de porte serviette.

Things were good but I was burning in the sun waiting to check in.

The room was pretty comfortable and clean and the staff for the most part was nice.

I was waiting to check in for over 1.5hours because the receptionist wasn’t at the post. I couldn’t get into the property either because I didn’t get my confirmation code. I got there at 3:00 at check in time and I waited in the heat. And the shower never seemed to get even warm.

Beautiful bright room in a safe hotel

The cleaning staff were so lovely. I did a lot of research at other places and was relieved to have no issues with mosquitoes, scorpions, air conditioning or general cleanliness as that seems very common in other places in Holbox. The room was bright, sunny and a lovely place to be. It also felt very safe. Bear in mind it's not a long walk from the beach, but in the midday heat with so little shade on the island it felt like a lot.

Sun chairs next to the pool would be good. Two things went wrong during my stay: safe didn't work (took 3 days to sort and I had to follow up a lot of times) and the water cut out in the area (out of their control to a degree, but the staff did not follow up to check it was working in our rooms. We went an entire day with no running water - my understanding is this sometimes happens on the island). I found a very large upturned bug in the shower one morning, which confused me because the door had been closed all night - I eventually figured out that it had fallen from the ceiling as there is a gap in the wooden panels around the area it had fallen. Again, not the staff's fault but I would suggest they seal that gap (room 1) - I felt bad for the bug as it died from the fall. A chair in the bedroom or decking would have been perfect!

The hotel was very cosy and garden and pool were really nice with hammocks etc.

Superb

Loved the room! Super nice, lovely veranda with your own hammock, nice swimming pool, fantastic staff who were really helpful and kind. Only downside is the state of the road outside and building going on, plus it's a little out of the way, but Holbox is small so nothing is too far. Loved the room, bathroom, hammock - very private and calming.

Great stay at Aruma Ha

The accommodation is brand new, it is very clean and we appreciated the attention to details : shampoo and soap, lines in the bathroom to dry clothes and bikinis, unlimited water and a water bottle in the room. The host is very nice and helpful, she gave us tips for restaurants and could organise tours for us. We would definitely come back here. The open kitchen allows you to cook and save some money which was great for us.

Nice enough hotel but far away from centre

nice sized room, comfy bed, nice shower, very helpful staff. kitchen facilities and fridge.

too far out and lots of pools of water. bitten by lots of mosquitoes, 4 cockroaches in bathroom from the shower. curtains not black out and you could see the light coming in.

A very nice staff. Rudimentary hotel. Stictly the necessary.

the staff was very kind and helpful always sending messages to give recommendations 😊the room was clean and comfortable enough. if you don’t need a lot it’s good… I mean …it’s very rudimentary you only get the necessary …the location is ok (except when if it rained …)

the room was a bit too small for a family of 4. the towels were not changed during our 3 nights stay and it’s kind of wet all the time…so we would have appreciated if they would have accepted to give us fresh ones every day …we arrived when it rained a lot and it was impossible to walk around the hotel ( lots of water or mud )…

Comfy base out of the centre, easily walkable

Big comfy bed, slightly out of town but still easy access in about an 8min walk. Staff very friendly and always offering help. Great value for what you got

Room was quite loud being made only from wood (animals / engines / rain / etc) but not a huge impact

Beautiful boutique hotel Holbox

Very friendly host. The bed was very comfortable and we liked the wood style of the room. Also very clean!

It was a little further from the "center" or beach. But we found this actually to be a plus because it was very quiet. The nearest restaurant consequently had relative cheap and good cocktails in comparison to those in the center.

Reaponsable Front desk , More pillows, more towels. Blanket since the Ac works well.

The room was big and the bed comfortable . cute decoration , I asked for more pillows Gaby gave them fast.

No one was there on the lobby when we got there , The front desk said her son fall and took him to the Dr. Juan the housekeeping opened us and gave us the room . He was very attentive at all time .Gaby the front desk is out most of the time .we were on the Pool when a guest (Italian girl )was knocking so I let her in, it was annoying , this is not our job. When we came back from town didn’t expects Gaby, her husband and kids and some others friends using facilities and drinking beer. this is not professional. we want to soak into the pool after being in the beach, this was imposible .

Just book it!

Absolutely everything, welcoming host providing us with all information, beautiful accommodation with stunning bathroom with mussel instead of battery - just amazing! Shower had unexpectedly good pressure. You have an unlimited access to drinking water. The location is a bit far from downtown (easily doable by walking).

As everyone - I can only complain about neverending mosquito attacks even when using the spray (very bothering and good vibe/energy sucking). And obviously so imperfect roads partially covered by water and mud. Nevertheless, this is not a property's fault at ALL - should be taken in consideration!

Nice room in Holbox

The room is great, it is spacious and clean and has a nice shower. Also the staff is friendly.

The location is not ideal to explore Holbox, it takes about 15 minutes to get to the beach/ centre (especially when it has been raining).

The stay and staff were great and would recommend to others!

The property was great and loved the decor, pool, and patio. The staff was extremely kind and very helpful.

It had rained a few days prior to our arrival and it was extremely muddy. We weren’t aware of the weather/ golf cart situation and we had a rough time ordering taxis from where we were located.

Cute little apartments and a wonderful atmosphere, great value for money. The owner Rebecca and her partner Belen did anything imaginable to make our stay a good one. My girlfriend unfortunately got pretty sick (not related to this accommodation) and Belen woke up in the middle of the night to arrange a cab, take us to the hospital, and help translating our story to the doctor. Thank you once more, we really appreciate your help!

An incredible stay, would highly recommend staying at Aruma Ha! :)

The staff at Aruma Ha was very friendly and helpful, rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the property itself was very cozy. There’s a nice pool with outdoor shower, a shared outdoor common area with a fridge where you can cook and hang out, complimentary water fountain, and bicycles for rent (which we didn’t use). Good enough wifi to do basic things, but we didn’t really use it since we prefer to stay off our phones in general. The AC in the room was wonderful and worked really well!

The property is a little outside of the centre, about a 10-12 minutes walk. We didn’t mind the walk and actually enjoyed it, but it is something to keep in mind since it easily floods when it rains and can make the walk a bit more tricky. But there’s always the option to take a golf cart taxi.

The room was cosy and nice, the staff responded very quickly and was available to help with any issue. The hotel accepts cards (which is rare in Holbox). It’s a bit far from the main street, but for us it was a plus.

The windows go to the pool, so in the evening it may get noisy if there are people there. The air conditioner was placed just at the level of the head, and during the night made a very loud noise.

Nice clean rooms and a.c. was great. Beds were comfy and towels were oversized and clean. Staff was polite and helpful.

We were there in April 2022. The location wasn't great, it was way at the end of the village and a good golf cart ride from town or beach area. The roads are bad already but much worse near Aruma Ha. Nothing they could control. The pool was nice but small and unfortunately for us we had very limited time or opportunity to use it. There were a group of 6 from France there at the same time and they pretty much took over the entire outdoor area. They cooked 3 meals a day outside on a grill and swam in the pool nearly all day cooking or doing dishes which prevented anyone else from using the pool or courtyard area. It was extremely rude of the people and we and some other guests both agreed the owner should have spoken to them about sharing the area. But the rooms were very nice.
