Fine if you're a student with low standards, who won't require sleep

It was centrally located in Galway City. The host was friendly and communicative before we arrived.

Firstly, I'd like to state that we were left little choice but to stay here after an error by Booking.com meant where we'd originally booked didn't exist. Our impression on arrival was lacklustre; There was a pile of dirty towels behind the door of our room (Room 4) and the light and ceiling was dusty and covered in cobwebs. Two of the bedroom doors did not latch, so would swing open again when closed. The carpet was stained and worn through in places. The whole place was tatty, smelt bad (especially the ground floor) and felt damp, not least due to the poorly insulated single glazed windows. The wi-fi did not work (and failed to do so for the duration, despite efforts to rectify by ourselves and the management company). Nowhere on the Booking.com listing does it detail that three of the four bedrooms at the back of the property would be subjected to extremely loud music and related crowd noise from a nearby bar with outside area (Connells) all afternoon, evening and until 1am. This is exacerbated by the aforementioned poor quality windows. Although I appreciate an apartment located centrally in a city will have some associated noise, ordinarily, sound proofing measures are taken and where the effects are excessive, this is stated ahead of time so guests can make an informed choice.

1 eyre square lane experience

It is in the city centre. Staff are accommodating.

One of the rooms was not cleaned when we arrived. The cot i requested was unmade and smelly when we found it in the closet (yes, we have to search for it). We have to clean and disinfect it ourselves. No dishwasher. Batteries of remote controls our either dead or almost dead. We requested for new ones but never received any. Old carpets.

Great location with great appliances and full kitchen.

Location, washer/dryer, kitchen, booking staff had good communication before, during, and after and fast responses to inquiries.

We felt the moisture level was high in the downstairs bedroom. We wish the full size bed in the upstairs was a queen size.

Perfect location and a very comfortable stay! Would definitely stay again next time we are in Galway!

The location was perfect for walking to and from the bus station, and also walking to pubs in the evening. We stayed mid week and it was fairly quiet at night with the windows open. The apartment was very clean and we had plenty of room. Beds and bedrooms were very comfy. We were glad to have the washing machine as well. The number of bedrooms was very nice for our party of 5 adults.

The tv was not working at all, and we had a problem connecting to the Wi-Fi. Oh, also the hair dryer was broken and not functional.

Big Group 1 night stay in Galway City

Ideal location, very comfortable for 7 people and great value for money. Alex who facilitated the check in was lovely. Also allowed for a last minute late check out which was really appreciated. Bathrooms very modern and clean, table was even set for us when we arrived.

Carpet could do with replacing throughout the house, but can't fault the clean linen and towels provided.

The accommodation was in a superb location about 50 yards from eyre square. Rooms were small but clean and comfortable and staff were very accommodating.

a little worn and shabby - ripped carpet, etc, but generally a nice space. Beds were nice. A nice amount of space for a group.

it just didn’t smell clean. I think they used lots of perfume based cleaners that I just don’t think smell nice. Some moldy smells here and there. Not the property’s fault, but there was a very loud rave next door involving many many people that went late into the night. Lots of noise.

Super location for Galway in a lovely apartment!

Highly recommend staying at Eyre Square Lane. The location is amazing for Galway. It is so central. My friends from Limerick and I had a fantastic stay. Very comfortable beds, good shower, great kitchen space with all utensils etc. We really enjoyed our stay! Thanks :)
