It was quiet in my room and worked for sleeping for a reasonable price. The guy at the check in started speaking Finnish with me which was a fun surprise plus he was pretty kind.

I had to walk to get cash from an atm so check in took a long time, at least 40 minutes I would estimate. There was no bathroom to blow dry my hair in because everyone in my room were sleeping and no common bathrooms in the corridor. The lights in the toilet switched off when showering. No towels were provided so not so convenient when you have to pack a wet towel when only staying one night. The toilet was also a little too dirty for my taste.

Reserve una habitación NO mixta y me dieron una mixta, compartí habitación con dos chicos que llegaron vomitando a las 3 am. Fue una experiencia horrible, lo bueno es que me movieron a otra habitación con personas más tranquilas

Ubicación central. Buen Wifi

Te cobran por guardar tu equipaje. Me tocó una habitación en otro edificio. Hice check in en un lugar y luego tuve que caminar hasta otro edificio para encontrar mi pieza. No tiene ningún tipo de espacio común para descansar ni algún hervidor o microondas. Es solo dormir y ya.

Great for a few nights

+Hostel rooms cleaned daily, which is super rare +Excellent staff to answer all your questions in detail +No bunk beds, so no uncomfy stairs and climbing cardio +Super convenient location between Jordaan and Dam Square, truly the highlight of this hostel +You don’t have to make the bed yourself when you arrive +The nearest Albert Heijn is only a few minutes’ walk near Dam Square +Lots of personal space for luggage etc for each bed UNLESS:

-you get the same bed that I did, right next to the entrance to the room, which is unconveniently close to the door, so that people leaving and entering might wake you up at night -AND you don’t have the same privileges other beds do, like having lots of room to put your stuff on since your bed is right on the hallway to the door and you don’t want to block anyone’s path -No washing or drying machine in the hostel. You have to go to a local business -Also, the reception is in a separate building from the hostel.

Nada un desastre el lugar

El lugar sucio, muy pequeño, las escaleras muy peligrosas, el personal que me recibió no fue para nada amable, las camas muy chicas y sin nada para apoyar las cosas, súper ruidoso el lugar.

Perfecto para tu visita en Amsterdam

El Hostal se encuentra a 8 minutos caminando de la estación central, la cama cómoda y el personal muy amable. Sin duda volveré a hospedarme la próxima vez!

Fantastica

Accoglienza disponibilità dello staff, mi hanno aiutato a trovare e prenotare un centro per fare il tampone per rientrare in Italia. Posizione centralissima, praticamente dietro a piazza. Super Consigliato. Perfetto.

Camere piene nonostante emergenza Covid. Ma d’altronde mettiamoci nei loro panni. Più clienti hanno più guadagnano. D’accordissimo.

Two comfortable nights 🌙 😌 ✨️

I have stayed here 3 or 4 times now, the staff are friendly and helpful staff. The rooms and bathrooms are kept nice & clean. The bed sheets& warm duvet are always clean and fresh. The shower has good water pressure, and the water stays hot no matter how long you take. The rooms are spacious. Even in the 14-bed rooms, there is still plenty of space. There are lockers for safety. The rooms are nice and warm in winter. This hostel is in a great location very close to all transport, cafes/bars and everything you need to enjoy. I will come and stay here again.

I was a little surprised at the price this time as it isn't peek season(02.02.24), and I was in a 14-bed room, which is usually cheaper. I paid less in November for an 8 bed room. But that said, the prices are still reasonable compared to some other places. I really don't have any complaints about this place. The staff and rooms are always pleasant.

All in all it was really nice and the hostel stuff was really kind and nice.

For the amount of money stat you spend for one night it is very comfortable and you’ve got everything you need.

The other people in my room where really chatty and they turned the big light on when it was 3 o clock in the night so I didn’t slept so well. Also maybe a rug in the bathroom would be really nice. The rainshower was a really nice add-on if it would be working.

Médiocre.

L’emplacement est juste génial. On est vraiment au centre et proche de tout. L’accueil et la disponibilité du personnel.

Je me suis rendue dans cet établissement qui m’a renvoyé vers leur hostel, qui n’est pas sur le même immeuble. Après m’être perdue, j’ai enfin retrouvé le deuxième immeuble ( ce qui n’est pas du tout noté dans la description). Deuxième étage mais beaucoup d’escaliers à monter surtout lorsqu’on a des bagages, mais le pire dans tout ça c’était lorsque je suis rentrée dans cette chambre de 14 personnes : j’étais choquée par l’obscurité et les odeurs. Je n’aurais jamais pu dormir dans cette chambre. En plus y avait que des garçons donc là j’étais mal alaise. Je suis repartie voir l’accueil qui a gentiment accepté de me mettre dans une autre chambre pour six personnes mais j’ai dû payer la différence (ce qui est tout à fait normal). Pas de serviettes ni de sèches cheveux: si vous voulez vous sécher les cheveux vous devez déposer 20€ de caution et 3 euros pour des serviettes !! Nettoyage douteux de la dame qui fait le ménage qui passe un coup de par terre même pas sous les meubles (poussiéreux). En 3min c’était fait. Elle ne prend même pas la peine de bien nettoyer la salle de bain. Un minimum de désinfection serait appréciable même si ce n’est pas un hôtel haut de gamme. Pour résumer : le personnel est sympathique surtout la dame , l’emplacement est super mais le reste est vraiment médiocre!

foi muito boa, adorei ver Amsterdam fiquei até que bastante tempo no quarto e ele foi bem confortável

gostei do quarto, ele era bem espaçoso, havia uma limpeza diária boa, os dois recepcionistas foram muito educados

fiquei perto da janela e mesmo com ela fechada senti frio, achei que os cobertores poderiam ser melhores, e havia uma recepcionista extremamente rude no local.

Bien para una corta estancia

Ubicación, limpio, personal amable, está muy bien para únicamente dormir en una corta estancia, calientito, como se ve en las previas fotos.

Las escaleras interminables y un tanto inseguras de la habitación con baño propio (pones a prueba tu condición física 😂)

Not worth

Not a good place for staying. You can find better options at the same price. I didn't find it a comfortable place. I am not even able to sit on the bed properly( because there is very little space between the two bunk beds).

despite the stairs problem, the staying was ok for me, since I just needed to be there to sleep

The location of the place was ideal. I could easily moved around the city by walking.

the stair of the building are very tight! Since I have a leg problem it was not that easy to come up the stairs.

Incómodo pero con buena ubicación

La cercanía con el centro de la cuidad y los puntos clave de Ámsterdam (barrio rojo, canales, estación central, restaurantes). Adicionalmente, fueron muy amables en la recepción y me permitieron hacer un early check out.

Los baños dentro de la habitación tenían un olor a cañería insoportable, no había división entre el sanitario y la ducha y todo terminaba mojado después de darte un baño. No existe privacidad entre los huespedes y se escucha lo que dejan caer en las habitaciones cercanas.

Good location, clean, comfy beds, you can keep your luggage before check in if you need, nice staff

You have to pay 5€ to keep your luggage there after check out. The bathroom didn’t have anything to put or hang the stuff

Simply awful avoid unbearable

Bed bugs I got covered in bites. No window. Lumpy pillow. Mattress wasn’t a proper mattress. Very very small bed like a crib. Shower was flooding unsuitable covered in hair. Staff were helpful good location but the property and accommodation itself was wholly uninhabitable even for a night.

Superb

The staff was extremely nice, open for questions, and gave many recommendations about laundry places next to the hostel, cafes, good restaurants... they are very resourceful and can speak English fluently. Also, the locker in one of the rooms could fit my luggage bag, but in the other room I took, it couldn't fit, which wasn't a problem, since it fits under the bed. The shower is spacious, and have hot water running 24/7. The hostel is a 5 min walk from Dam Square, 10 min walk from Red Light District, and 7 min walk from central station. It has numerous restaurants, supermarkets, bike rentals, and bars in 1 min walking radius Other people in the room were respectful and everyone minded their own business. It felt very safe staying with strangers, which is fantastic.

Unfortunately, my only comment is that the mattresses although very clean! They were soft and narrow which was uncomfortable for me, and the pillows were small and too soft for my neck. Something I didn't mind at all, and I actually liked as part of the hostel experience, are the stairs which are narrow and steep, but I'm good with that. If you have back problems, make sure to be on the first floor.
