Very nice cottage

Wonderful, comfortable cottage. Loved the coffee, tea, and coffee press.

Apartment above the cottage so there is some noise but it was no bother for us.

Praktische Lage in Glen Coe

Die Auswahl in der Region Glen Coe ist schnell ausgebucht und alle Unterkünfte sind überteuert. Wir hatten keine andere, keine günstigere Wahl. Neben der Hauptstraße liegen an einem parallelen Schotterweg ein paar Häuser, die sowohl privat bewohnt werden als auch einen Teil an Touristen vermieten - wie bei uns. Wir hatten gemütliche Sofas am Elektrokamin, einen ordentlichen Esstisch an dem wir auch Karten spielen konnten, eine kleine Küche, eine separates Gäste WC am Eingang und ein Bad mit Dusche, WC und Waschbecken beim Schlafzimmer. Schlafzimmer mit viel Schränken. Wir konnten gut heizen - und warm duschen.

Rund um das Haus gibt es gepflegte Gartenanlagen mit Bank am Fjord: gehört alles den Nachbarn und kann nicht genutzt werden. Ein öffentlicher Trampelpfad führt ans Wasser. Die Küche ist ohne Spülmaschine und der Herd ist noch mit 4 Kochplatten… der Backofen ist innen klebrig und schon lange nicht mehr grundgereinigt. In den Schränken sammeln sich unkontrolliert Lebensmittel Reste vorheriger Gäste. Natürlich ist es angenehm auf Salz, Zucker, evtl. Mehl, Essig und Öl zugreifen zu können. Aber auf den Zustand kommt es an. Ärgerlich ist die Kühlschrankkonstruktion. Hinter einer zusätzlichen Küchentüre (passend zur Küche) verbirgt er sich und so müssen immer 2 Türen geöffnet werden. Es ist eben kein Einbaukühlschrank. Sehr unpraktisch. Die Durchgangsstraße ist stark befahren und laut- aber das ist eben so in Glen Coe. Auf den Fotos sieht man eine großartige Natur und in echt wandert man parallel neben einer Schnellstraße

Unpleasant stay.

Good location - close to Ballachulish and a short walk to Lock Leven. Quaint, well decorated. The one bedroom was spacious, probably more so than the rest of the cottage.

If you are not a couple, then don't stay here. The cottage advertised a sofa bed, which doesn't exist. What does exist is a portable bed, which, when assembled, takes up almost all the free space in the common area. The slats on the portable bed kept detaching, leaving the only other sleeping option to be the couch, which is too small for a grown man. The cottage is super tiny. It does not help that the couch and chair are gigantic, leaving even less space. The cottage is attached to the Craigavon House, and the walls seem to be thin since it was easy to hear the noisy children and whiney dog. Finally, we have stayed in multiple places in Scotland, and I feel this place is the worst value. e.g., highest price for the product.

Relaxing trip in the highlands.

This was a comfortable cottage for a short break in Ballachulish. I didn't meet the hosts in person but they left a welcome pack, which was very good, and they checked how things were by text message. Kitchen was well equipped.

Had to cross a main road for access (by foot). Limited views and nowhere to sit outside.

Standard older lockset didn't work, needing replacing, but the kind hostess who lives right next door to the right was able to work the mortise lock and said it would be fixed. Walk to the right, around the home and to the loch. Sit and ponder the universe in privacy. Gorgeous. This is a one bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and clearly loved. I'd return in a heartbeat.

There is a bit of road noise which dies down. I didn't find it easily but the hostess is available.

Lovely little cottage in a beautiful part of Scotland!

The place was cosy and warm, and extremely comfy, plus we were surprised with some welcome goodies. Perfect location for exploring the Glencoe area, and relaxing amongst the mountains.

Cutlery was limited (so might just need restocking) and the front door is particularly difficult to unlock.

A cosy, well located stay

Really cosy 1 bed flat, we really liked the location and the lovely view out of the window, it’s just a shame the village pub was closed while we were there. The property is just a 10 second walk to a convenient dog walk. It snowed a fair bit while we were there but we were kept toasty with the heaters. We would certainly return.

Just a couple of small points, the oven needs a good clean and the shower could do with a spot of bleach.

Best place around the area.

The view from window was astonishing! Warm, stylish, comfortable place in a perfect location. Ideal for city escapes. During our stay we had a truly home feeling! Definitely recommend!

we were disappointed by the lack of hygiene everywhere

it was in a nice place.

it was not clean. the bed linens were not changed. there was hairs in the bed. the shower was dirty. the bathroom floor was dirty not cleaned. the grill pan and cooked was dirty. a small hit us when we opened the door to enter.

Craigavon Cottage is a great place to stay in the Glencoe area for beautiful location outside the village.

The apartment was so comfortable and just big enough for the two of us. it was also located very well for easy access to to hiking and Glencoe. Our host was able to help us immediately with the tv and the oven.

The tenants upstairs were busy one night. We heard many footsteps late one night.

Amazing

Excellent position: quiet but near so many walks! The cottage is lovely and has everything you could possibly need, also for a long stay! You can even wash and dry your clothes after the walks! The owners are really nice and super helpful! I sincerely recommend it! I hope we'll be able to visit again in the future!

Cosy cottage with great hosts

Very friendly hosts who are onsite in case of issues. Cottage is cosy and has everything you can need. The location is fab, views over mountains. Handy dog walk along loch shore right beside property.

Comfortable, lovely hostess and would certainly use again!

Location is superb. if the weather had been better the views would have been spectacular (I stayed in January in the rain). The cottage is excellent value for money. Good location literally a stones throw from the A82, but no great traffic noise. Smart TV was a nice find. Bed very comfortable. Plenty of hot water and a powerful shower. Parking at the side of the host's house next door was easy to access. Kitchen appliances all in working order. Nice welcome pack too.

It was a cold time of year and the property was a little cold as it relies on a storage heater and a small oil filled radiator in the bedroom which was on a rather fiddly timer. Extra heating in the lounge part of the living area had to be used. The bathroom wall heater was not operational. It is a bit dated inside and kitchen equipment was a bit limited, never found a sieve and only flat dinner plates to eat pasta from, but there again it was a good price and location excellent.
