A real insider tip :)

The stay at Stravoz was great! Upon arrival, which we had agreed upon in advance, there was a friendly welcome from Stravoz with small talk, a coffee and a brief introduction to the rules of the house. The house has two terraces and balconies. You can sit there in the evening, have dinner or just relax. There were also tips for the area. The hotel is in the old town of Kalamata. On Googlemaps the hotel looks far away from the crowd, but it isn't. It couldn't be more central. Since everything was within a 300m radius, The stay was pleasant because there were no long distances from the hotel. All in all I would go to Stravoz hotel again if I travel to Kalamata.

You can always complain about something, but I find it difficult to give a negative review because everything was really great. Of course it's not like being at home or you have the comfort of a villa, but that's not the important thing about a vacation. Ps. The distances are deceptive, e.g. going shopping in the city centre. Pss. I forgot to take pictures of the hotel! Sorry!!!

Απαίσιο βρώμικο πολύ βρώμικες πετσέτες σκόνη και πόρτες που δεν κλειδώνουν ξεχαρβάλωμα όλα χωρίς ούτε ένα μπουκαλάκι νερό. Δεν θα ξαναπάω ποτέ ούτε δωρεάν.

Just perfect, thanks a lot.

Everything was amazing, the host is friendly and talented person, the house is perfect.

The house is so far away from the beach , but this isn't a problem if you have a car or cycle.

I’m still covered in bed bug bites.

The location was great and owner was friendly. The cafe around the corner, Elinion, is fantastic for coffee and has a wonderful owner named Georgia. I went every day I was in Kalamata, highly highly recommend if you want good hospitality and prices.

Bed bugs, lack of security, no wifi, no property or room security for female dorm, broken windows, lots of bugs, not clean in bedroom or bathroom, no light in bathroom and only 2 power boards worked in the whole room. It took hours for me to be able to check in, despite arriving within advised times. It is also CASH ONLY which could be slightly clearer on the property ad. I had to go to the bank with owner to resolve payment as I did not have access to cash… but that was partly my fault. I stayed here because it was the only budget friendly option anywhere in Kalamata, and ended up paying more than 3x as much for the rest of time in a different accomodation because this is one of the worst places I have ever stayed.

Best place for small money in Kalamata

Very nice place in the centre of the city, nice atmosphere and people

Had no WiFi and the room was quite hot in the night, but it depends what time of the year you come

Great location in old, fancy building, close to old part of town

All rooms are dirty, there is no clean bathrooms there, no kitchen included. Its looka like abandomed place for squatters. Great potential but really poor execution. One of the worst hostels i have vever been. Overpriced for this kind of quality.

Great location, good value.

Super well located hostel. In the historical district and close to many well rated restaurants. 5min walk to bus station. Very nice host.

Mattress could be a bit more comfortable!

The guy that let us in was nice and polite. The location is close to the old town and near an amazing bakery.

There was no hot water. Apparently hot water is dependant on the sun and unfortunately we were there on a rainy day so we only got cold water. The room was passable, but the bed was quite uncomfortable. Close to the old town, but a long walk if you want to be by the beach.

The hostel is in the center.

The bathroom was very dirty. In the night it was cold because there were partly no windows. That made it also loud because of the noise outside.

Good price.

The window was broken so a draft of cold air blew over my bed. And a blanket would have been nice. Especially because it was getting colder.
