Eine super schöne Anlage die mit einem schönen Pool. Diese Anlage liegt auf einem Felsen und man schaut gemütlich beim Frühstück oder Abendessen aufs Meer. Das Frühstück ist bis auf das Omelett sehr gut und Abwechslungsreich. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und er ist auch noch ein gelernte Koch. Und das merkt man beim Abendessen, dauert zwar immer, aber dafür super lecker. Ein sehr großer und einsamer Strand ist 10 Minuten von der Anlage entfernt.
Warum also keine 9 oder 10 Punkte von uns. Es wird einfach im Nachgang, auch für Hotelgäste, für das Abendessen und auf Getränke eine Servicegebühr von 10% genommen. Und das ist echt unverschämt! Da haben wir uns bei der Endabrechnung extrem darüber geärgert und das habe wir noch nirgendwo erlebt. Ansonsten nur eine Kleinigkeit, die Kissen waren uns etwas zu hart.

Отличный вид на океан из номеров 2 и 3 этажей. Чисто. Очень приветливый и доброжелательный персонал.
Не слишком удачное по отношению к пляжу расположение. Отель на мысе. Дорога на пляж грунтовая. Вначале круто вверх, потом многочисленные ступеньки вниз. Недалеко, не более 10 минут, но не удобно.
Парковка представляет собой небольшой грунтовый пятачок.

Вода в кране не выключалась и текла постоянно в раковину. Не получалось закрыть входную дверь пришлось просить помощь персонала.

Wir hatten 4 Nächte gebucht und wunderschöne Tage dort verbracht. Das Hotel liegt abseits der Hauptstraße mit Blick auf das Meer. Es ist auch kein Durchgangsverkehr, da Sackgasse. Der Pool ist groß und sauber und es hat genug Liegen.
Um den Sonnenuntergang zu betrachten braucht man nur wenige Meter, um auf den Hügel zu steigen und von dort kann man dann auch hinunter zum Thalalla Beach gehen. Dies ist ein sehr sauberer Strand ( der von Privatleuten sauber gehalten wird) mit tollen Wellen. Dort gibt’s auch 2-3 Bars.
Die Hotelbesitzer waren sehr freundlich und stolz uns ihre Kochkünste zu präsentieren. Das Essen war top , vor allem das Chicken Curry . Eine Riesenportion und von einer Person eigentlich nicht zu schaffen. Beim zweiten Mal haben wir uns zu Zweit eine Portion geteilt. Fürs Essen vergibt mein Mann einen Michelin Stern!
Die Kokosnüsse hat der Besitzer für uns frisch von der Palme geholt. Und unsere Klimaanlage hatte nach 3 Nächten gemuckt, was am nächsten Morgen auch gleich behoben wurde.
Wir hatten einen rundum tollen Aufenthalt und empfehlen es mit gutem Gewissen gerne weiter

De los mejores alojamientos que hemos tenido en Sri Lanka, comodísimo, limpio, con vistas inmejorables del mar, buen desayuno, agua caliente, sitio donde apoyar la ropa y las mochilas. Con piscina grande y limpia, además de a solo 5-10 minutos de la playa de Talalla, de las playas más bonitas que hemos visitado. Muy recomendable!!

Ons verblijf bij Talalla Leisure in Tallala was bijzonder door de warme gastvrijheid, het thuisgevoel, en de prachtige, rustige locatie. De schone, goed uitgeruste kamers en het nieuwe zwembad boden geweldig comfort. Het culinaire aanbod, vooral de pittige opties, maakte de eetervaring uniek. Deze perfecte combinatie van gastvrijheid, comfort en natuurlijke schoonheid maakte mijn verblijf onvergetelijk en een hoogtepunt in Sri Lanka.

Wir haben und als Familie (mit drei Kindern) hier sehr willkommen gefühlt. Die Gastgeber sind zwei sehr sympathische Menschen, die sich liebevoll um ihre Gäste kümmern. Das Familienzimmer war groß, sauber, mit vier Betten und einer Sitzecke ausgestattet. Klima hat anfangs nicht richtig funktioniert und wurde umgehend repariert. Schöner und sauberer Pool, gutes W-LAN und hervorragendes Abendessen (frischer Fisch) und leckerer Frucht-Shakes mit Obst vom eigenen Garten. Abwechslungsreiches Frühstück, das jeden Tag variiert. Weg zum einsamen Strand ca 10 Min über Treppen und Steine.
Nichts! Hinweis - wir waren mit dem eigenen Auto dort - ist aber auch mit Bus/Tuk Tuk oder Taxi erreichbar, nur wahrscheinlich komplizierter

Was greeted warmly by the staff when we arrived and even had coconuts to enjoy which was wonderful - especially after roughing it the 2 days before in Yala. The room itself was lovely, clean and had a great view of the ocean. The shower was wonderful (and not just because I hadn't showered on safari).
Ate dinner at the restaurant and the food was very good and reasonably priced.
Had to leave early to catch a train and the team was so helpful for us - coordinating a tuk tuk at 5am and even packing breakfast for us to enjoy on the train (and it was wonderful).
Only negative that I could come up with is that this is outside of town (but I also see a positive). If you want to get to town you can walk along the main road or take a shortcut behind the property (which also has great views of the beach).

The food is exceptional, Manju is a very talented cook. Breakfast is different every day and served at a time requested by you. We Loved the sea view and breezes while we had breakfast. Fresh fruits from the garden were full of flavour, and we had them in our Lassie each day also. The location was just perfect for us, we enjoy a bit more seclusion then regular accommodation options and Talalla Leisure exceeded our expectations. There was no traffic (and exhaust fumes) or other noise apart from the sounds of birds and the ocean. The rooms are spacious, clean and with A/c and fans we had very good sleeps. We saw a lot of birds (including peacocks) and fish swimming over the rocks out front. The rock pool makes a great place for an early morning dip before breakfast. We will definitely be coming to stay here longer on our next visit. Thanks to Manju and his family for all their care and attention.

Quiet with a good view.
Our most disappointing stay in Sri Lanka. The AC barely works and leaks. The room was very hot. The TV didn't work despite promises of it getting fixed. In 3 days nobody cleaned room, didn't even offer cleaning. There were giant cocroaches and spiders in the bathroom (photo available). We were told that we are not allowed to eat in the room because of the food smell, but the "restaurant" doesn't have AC or ceiling fans. The owner also didn't hesitate to charge 10% "service" to bring food there. Food was oversalted, a very small amount of tuna and no other sea food in the sea food kottu. Owners are dishonest, cancelled our booking to not pay percent, but we paid fully, and also tried to charge us 3.7% more for strange reason.
There is no quick access to the beach here. The beach is a 10-15 min hilly walk away.

Everything is perfect for a relaxed vacation. We have been very lucky in finding Talalla and this small hotel.
The Talalla Leisure only has rooms in its main building (the more traditional looking one) open currently, and as we visited at the start of the week we were the only guests - so we had a "celebrity experience" - the hotel has lovely staff, a beautiful building and quiet surroundings, as well as a private beach/cove and easy access to the main beach - and incredible sunrise/sunsets from the view point 2 minutes walk away - we had this all to ourselves.
We booked 1 night, stayed 3 and would come back in a heartbeat.
Our room was very comfortable and had a/c and a seaview.
The private beach is great for relaxing and has loads of fascinating rock pools to explore.
The food is excellent and well priced - so much more interesting and varied than other places we've stayed in Sri Lanka, including a different breakfast each morning and juice from the hosts' own fruit. The available dinner menu has great tasty options and you can enjoy your meals with fantastic sea views.
There is easy access to the wide main beach via a viewpoint and some steps, and there are a few beach bars to choose from.
The hosts and staff are great, and welcomed us with a king coconut each (from their own trees!).
Tourism in Talalla I assume has always been low key, but currently it feels like a personal paradise as everything is open and visitor numbers are starting to recover.
If you're looking for the ultimate secret beach paradise in Sri Lanka, you've just found it in our opinion!

I enjoyed my staying in Talalla Leisure. The owner was very helpful. I have some stomach issues and can't eat asian food. I asked to cook what was suitable for my stomach and the owner did his best. For breakfast they serve tea/coffee/fresh juices. If you are not good with traditional local breakfast, then ask for a toast, butter, jam and eggs. The owner can even make an aurvedic green soup for you.
The hotel has a private beach, although it is ok for relaxing and sunbathing only. There is no good access to the ocean due to rocks and many urchins occupying the water. It takes about 7 min to get to Talalla Beach (1.3 km long beach) with nice access to the water. Keep in mind that its pretty steep way from and to the hill where the hotel situated to get to the beaches. I had a knee surgery few months ago and was really happy to exercise.
The owner is always there to help. I injured my toe and needed to go to the pharmacy. He rode me to the pharmacy to get the medication.
The room had no hair dryer, although if you need - just ask for one. There were couple mugs and an electric kettle, teabags.
The ocean water is extremely clean and nicely warm.
The private beach needs some cleaning and better access. If it is named private then it is supposed to satisfy guests' expectations.
Although, I went there just once. Preferred swimming in the ocean.

no mosquito nets: i think necessary in the only-fan rooms (the ones on the ground floor), I would have liked to have one, as I get bitten very easily

Lovely views from balcony. Small private sheltered beach a short but steep walk away. Comfortable room. Very nice bathroom. All very clean and nicely decorated.
A mix up at check in. We picked our room based on the photos on Booking.com but they wanted to give us a room in a new building which was up a steep slope and lots of stairs. The room was nice but we wanted the one in the picture. Finally we got one in the original building which was very attractive and easy to access. You need to check on this if you prefer the main building.

The hotel is new and clean. The food is delicious. There is only a short walk to be done to be at the beach. The host and his wife are exceptional friendly and helpful. They even brought us to the next ATM because there is none in Talalla. And he gave uns fresh Aloe Vera for our sunburn. Highly recommend!

This was the best stay for us in Sri Lanka! We extended for another night, because we felt so welcomed. The family who runs this place is exceptionally nice and helpful. Every morning we got a new Sri Lankan speciality for breakfast and the rice and curry for dinner was the best we‘ve had so far. The room was perfectly clean, we had a great ocean view and the bed was super comfortable.
Talalla beach is only a few minutes walk away and for other trips the host helps with getting a cheap TukTuk ride. He even organised our next trip. Thanks again for everything!
We can highly recommend this place and would love to come again.

We had an amazing stay at Tallala Leisure. The moment you walk into this beautiful and new hotel, there is nothing you hear other than the waves crashing on the shore. The view is superb and lends itself for hours of enjoyment. The lovely host family opened a second brand new building next to the original building a mere two weeks ago, and hired an incredibly friendly host helping you out wherever possible. They assisted us with getting a PCR test on location saving us a trip and likely tiring process at a local hospital. We also really enjoyed our nights here due to the great quality of the beds. And we haven't even mentioned the great quality of the food! Breakfast is different every morning and also the curries at dinner, if you choose to order these, are different every evening. You can enjoy all of this from a table on the second floor which provides the mentioned views as well. We would like to thank the host and host family for a memorable stay! :)

Amazing owner Tanju and manager Erfan. They welcomed me with a welcome cocunut. Very delicious food. New clean rooms with an amazing view at the Indian Ocean. Beautiful rooftop with 360 degree view over the jungle and the ocean. Place to be!!! A must!
