About this house rental
Sitting just two homes off the shores of the Pacific Ocean this incredible retreat known as the 'Manhattan Beach Escape' has it all. With a spacious open kitchen, dining, and living room layout along with three main floor bedrooms it is perfect for most any group or family to stay and enjoy everything the Oregon Coast has to offer.
Just a few steps up from your parking spots you will enjoy the front deck and its views of the ocean. It's the perfect spot to relax and BBQ up whatever you choose on the grill. Just inside is the foyer with some seating. Immediately it opens up on to the kitchen, dining, and living room. The whole area is bathed in natural light along with sounds of the nearby ocean waves. This is such an amazing place for everyone to enjoy time together.
Proceeding into the home you will find the first bedroom with an en-suite bathroom that can also be shared with a second door. Additionally, you will find another primary suite with not only a queen bed and en-suite bathroom but an additional twin over full bunk bed. Also attached is a game room with a couch, foosball table, TV, books, and games making this area an incredible fit for parents with a couple kiddos. Finally, there is a third bedroom with a queen bed here as well.
Ascending upstairs you will find the final bedroom suite. There are multiple fantastic aspects to this space. The first of which is the en-suite bathroom. The walk-in closet has been repurposed as a quiet room with a desk so if anyone needs to get a little work done during their stay, this is the perfect spot. One keynote, is that upon entering this space there is also the option to proceed up a few stairs to the sliding glass doors that lead to the enormous deck. Grab some of the chairs and accoutrements to make yourself at home on this unbelievable space. Relax to the sounds, the views, and the wildlife while taking in everything that makes the Oregon Coast so special.
Whether it be seconds to the beach, grilling to the sights and sounds of the waves, or enjoying the sights and sunsets from the upper deck, The Manhattan Beach Escape is everything you want your vacation property to be and then some. We truly want you to enjoy your time and make some wonderful memories with your group. That being said, this is not a party or gathering house for groups that can't control their noise levels. We have relationships with all of our neighbors who have our direct contact information. Quiet time is 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Please stay indoors during this time, keep the windows and doors closed and keep the volume to an enjoyable but reasonable level. If it is loud enough to be heard outside in these conditions, it is too loud for you to remain our guest. This property includes a noise alert monitoring system in order to ensure that neighborhood noise levels are respected. Again, please realize we want every group to enjoy their time, laugh, have fun and make memories. These devices are only to ensure noise levels don't reach a threshold that bothers our neighbors. Also, please note there is no electronic video surveillance monitoring pools or spas, or on the interior of the house.
PET FRIENDLY: **There is a $100 pet fee per pet with a maximum of $300 (3 pets). Although we are pet-friendly please note your pet must not be left unattended at the house without you present, even if in a crate/kennel. Failure to adhere to the house rules as it pertains to pets may result in cancellation of the booking with no refund. **

You never know what you will get and we were pleasantly surprised at the size and layout. The rooms and beds were very nice. You can see the beach from the living room and the garage rooftop, so that was great! Also, the walk to the beach was short and easy for all ages.
We were in need of more wash cloths and had to wait til Sat for someone to help us get the fireplace operating. I did get swift response to my inquires, although it did take until the next day to get these items squared away! We did appreciate the excellent communication.
Overall, a wonderful place! Will try to rent again another time.

Our family had a wonderful stay at the Rockaway Beach home. There was plenty of space for our 11 family members, beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to fix breakfasts and dinners. Having 4 full bathrooms was great
We loved the hot tub, which was easy to operate and access. The view from the upper deck was fantastic….sunsets were spectacular.
With just a short walk to the expansive beach, we were able to come and go all day long. If we needed drinks, buckets, towels etc. it was so easy to go back to the house and return

We had a great weekend at this house and would have loved to have stay longer. We truly did not get to enjoy what this house to offer with such a short stay. We might have stayed longer if it wasn't so expensive, but it does offer a lot for the price including so many beds and bathrooms. It had everything you need in the kitchens and bathrooms and excellent access to television and entertainment. The access to the beach was superb! And the upper deck with the hot tub was such a nice place to take in the sights. We might consider it again if we can save up the money!

We had a wonderful stay. It is so nice that there are three bedrooms on the main floor and three bathrooms! The two grandmas were so pleased! The location is amazing. Quite neighborhood so you can hear the waves from the house. Is there anything better? My husband and I with our 8 year old stayed in the master suite which was up the stairs offering us more privacy as well. The hot tub was great and the deck is a great view of the ocean. Steps away from the beach. Excellent stay. 😊

The house was spacious and a very, very short walk to the beach! So close it was convenient when needing things from the house— it was a quick walk! A little warm in the summer but by remembering to close the blinds to the afternoon sun made it much cooler. We definitely recommend it!

We had a fun time staying in this house. The close proximity to the beach access was wonderful! We enjoyed the roof top deck with gorgeous views of the ocean.
There were a few problems with the house though. The day before we were scheduled to check in we were notified that the oven was not working and the soonest they could have someone out to repair it was two weeks after our stay. I asked for a discount due to this inconvenience and was told no there was nothing they could offer. We had to change our menu plans which was frustrating considering this was the day before we left and had already completed all of our shopping. I did ask for an air fryer or convection oven which they did bring to us. It appeared to be brand new but was missing a part. Again, frustrating.
There were several locked rooms throughout the house including the garage. Typically we have access to the garage and there are various things to use at the beach and store our sandy items and bikes in.
One afternoon while we were there the owner showed up unannounced to work on his boat in the garage. We have stayed in many beach houses over the years and have never experienced this before. He moved some of our bikes that were resting against the garage door mostly out of sight. One of our bikes was stolen that night and that was very maddening to wake up to. When the garage was open during the owner’s visit, we could see another stove/oven in there so this made us think the oven issue was not new and should have been taken care of.
When I called the property management to tell them about the owner showing up and bike being stolen she was very saddened and apologetic. She also stated she would look into why the owner showed up and that she would be back in touch, but I never heard back from her.
We made the best of our time there and do have some great memories, but we will not be using this company again.

The house is well stocked with very comfortable beds and a couch that you never want to get off of. The deck has amazing views of the Pacific Ocean and, regardless of the coast's weather, is an incredible place to spend the day listening to the ocean. This was the perfect place for my group of friends to spend a summer weekend. We loved it and cannot wait to come back!

Lovely house in a fantastic location
Wonderful home with not only plenty of beds and bedrooms, but also several bathrooms which is key in accomodating our large group. The kitchen and great room is spacious, open and perfect for gathering. The house is steps from the beach which cannot be beat! The stove wasn't working but the owners sent a repair person to look at it promptly and then when it couldn't be fixed were willing to work out an alternative. Overall a fantastic vacation house that we will definitely come back to!

Steps from the beach - great layout of house
Had an incredibly relaxing long weekend with the family. House was laid out expertly so kiddos shared room with foosball table and bunk bed and adults had plenty of room to relax. Well stocked kitchen (even had a big stock pot when we made homemade clam chowder)
Home is accross the street from a little market if you forget butter or need a soda.

GREAT PLACE !
I rented this place to take my family for a spring break trip. There were ten of us total. Five grandchildren and five adults.
We had a great time. The house was very nice, close to the beach and plenty of room. It had everything we needed and no problems. I give it a high 5 stars and would rent again !
