Forest Park alone has miles of tree-lined paths, playgrounds, fountains, as well as other exciting points of interest. Tons of restaurants can be found on Grand Ave, and many more Italian restaurants on "The Hill" nearby. You’re near major freeways so scheduling a visit to a Cardinals game is a breeze. You can also visit the Arch, stop by beautiful Soulard, or tour the Anheuser-Busch brewery.
The Shaw neighborhood is a mix of stately, turn-of-the-last-century homes and well-maintained apartments in classic brick. You'll find university and medical students living alongside professionals, many young families, and long-term residents. It's diverse and friendly. Residents are quiet and respectful. You'll mostly want to drive or Uber/Lyft to get around as the street is residential for several city blocks.

The best way to get around is by car with most highways conveniently nearby. You can also use the Metrolink light rail system to get to many major attractions. Metro's efficient light rail system offers stops throughout the city.

Spacious house. Clean and comfortable. Everything we needed and beautiful park across the street.

We had 10 adults and 9 kids. The rooms and house were big enough but we were unable to use a room with 2 queen beds due to having wasp nests in the window and over 20 wasps in that room. Maintenance came to handle the day of check in but when the issue arose again the second day the maintenance did nothing but pick up the wasps we killed and were on the floor. Having kids around the ages of 2-10 around wasps was nothing something we thought would be a scenario we would have to deal with. The house was in a good location, enough room, kitchens and bathrooms were updated well but the situation with the wasps could have been handled better.

Everything was as expected and more! We had a large group for a family wedding. Close proximity to Tower Grove Park, Botanical Gardens and all that St Louis has to offer. Big garage to park in & easy parking on both sides of the street was a bonus! We had 5-6 cars and did not have any issues. Thank you for being a great host and adding to a wonderful weekend!

Beautiful house. Not very clean. Within an hour of arriving children feet were black on the bottom. We moved furniture and swept and found toys food and dust bunnies as big as baseballs. Too bad you don’t keep that beautiful place in better condition.
TV was falling from the wall from improper installation.
Beware of extremely late checkin and early checkout.

We gathered for my dads 80th and it was perfect. Loved being on the park! The space allowed room to all hang out indoors and out. Central location to everything and easy to get around. Thank you!

We loved the house. The location was perfect for the wedding. It held 12 people comfortably. The park across the street was beautiful. It was centrally located to all things St. Louis. We could have used some dressers to put away our clothes.

This VRBO was a great experience for me and 19 friends reuniting for the weekend! Very spacious and clean. Communication with the renters was amazing. I was even able to park my car in the garage which was a great plus! Two kitchens and two living rooms = twice the fun!

Wonderfully done four story duplex that allows Internal connectivity to both units. Plenty of rooms for our 4 families (8 adults and 4 kids). Across street from Tower Grove Park which is expansive and well kept. Walking distance to a variety of ethnically diverse restaurants. Driving distance (15 min) to zoo that has free admission, walking distance to Botanical Gardens! Perfect for our family get together!!!!

Great Accommodations for our Family Reunion
Cool. Clean. Comfortable. Convenient location. Updated.
- We stayed 5 nights in a very hot 3rd week of June and it was cool inside from the top to the bottom on all 4 floors. We enjoyed the large kitchens and living spaces on the 2nd and 3rd floors. All bedrooms had doors except a bonus space in the basement (1st floor). All bathroom fixtures worked great from the 1st to the 4th. We thought the lighting was good. Both kitchens had newer appliances that worked properly, plus the big islands with 10 seats each made sharing and eating together wonderful. The kitchens were adequately supplied, including with coffee, some cooking supplies, lots of plates, bowls, glasses and mugs.
We used both laundry areas - the washers & dryers worked great.
The location is excellent, with adequate street parking (usually across the street) , close to downtown, Forrest Park, the Botanical Garden, and many attractions. The nearby Grand Station MetroLink Park & Ride was a great way to get to Busch Stadium (or the Arch). We loved Tower Park w/ the Farmers Market on Sat. It all felt very safe.
Would like to see:
1. Earlier check in than 5pm; plus checking out at 10 am cut those days short.
2. Back yard seating (very nice space)
3. Type of Mattress (maybe the next purchase - these were new or like new - but a dense foam).
4. TV in bedrooms. Basic instructions on using the Roku system and which services are usable without logging in to personal accounts would be helpful. There are no DVD/Blu-Ray players.
5. More towels - maybe 1-1/2 per guest instead of 1.
- Only issue we encountered was in the lower unit. The kitchen was dirty, as well as the floors in the lower unit. We contacted the management company shortly after 5 pm and found it was too late to get anyone to remedy this on Sunday. Our group cleaned the kitchen since we needed it. (With the cleaning fee, early check out, and late check in - we had the expectation it should have been clean.) A nice young lady from the management firm came the next day to mop the floors and to clean anything that was needed. She was very nice and apologetic. Except for this initial cleaning issue, we only contacted the management company once asking about a light. They were responsive and helpful.
One note - the direct access between upper and lower units was a steep, narrow stair.
Overall it was an excellent property, a great location, and worked well for a large family group.

We stayed at the property for our professional organization’s Board Retreat. We had enough room to conduct our business meetings, dine together and sleep. The home has all the modern conveniences you could want, but it still has the charm and beauty of an older home. It was very clean, and the owner was very responsive throughout. I highly recommend it, and I hope to stay there again. We all loved it!

Perfect for our Retreat!
We stayed at the property for our professional organization’s Board Retreat. We had enough room to conduct our business meetings, dine together and sleep. The home has all the modern conveniences you could want, but it still has the charm and beauty of an older home. It was very clean, and the owner was very responsive throughout. I highly recommend it, and I hope to stay there again. We all loved it!
