Jewel Villa is a fully equipped, luxurious 3-bedroom home nestled on top of a hill. It offers breathtaking 360-degree mountain and Central Valley views of San Jose, Mount Poás, and Downtown Atenas.
Whether you are admiring the expansive views from the cliffside solar heated pool and gas-heated jacuzzi, relishing a scenic stroll through the safe gated community, or enjoying the sunrise, sunset, and nightfall from the two outdoor decks.
This amazing home is your idyllic getaway to restore and reset in Pura Vida paradise. It is only 15 minutes away from the local bars, restaurants, and farmer's market. A scenic drive to Jaco Beach, rainforests, and volcanoes is nearby.

The villa is built on a 1.4-acre Roca Verde plot amidst a newly blooming tropical garden and fruit trees. The home comfortably sleeps six guests in spacious bedrooms (1 king master suite, one king guest suite, and one queen guest suite) and three private full bathrooms with a 24/7 solar-heated water supply.
The master suite has access to the large private deck and mountain views. The highlights of this home are the open indoor and outdoor living and kitchen areas, which feature a traditional Costa Rican-style wood ceiling and brand-new, luxurious furnishings.
The home is equipped with a 65-inch flat-screen smart TV, high-speed internet service, and all of the necessary kitchen appliances.
Our property management team, Klaas and Sandra de Graaf, a multilingual (English-Dutch-Spanish) couple from The Netherlands, are ready to welcome you to Jewel Villa and will do everything possible to make your stay a great success.
As an additional service to our house guests, they offer a fee-based airport pick-up and drop-off to help you avoid the potential hassles involved in the transitions into and out of your time in Costa Rica (great especially when you have late travel plans, but a nice comfort to have in any event). They also provide car rentals (delivered to the house) and tours to all corners of the country, including the Poas and Arenal volcanoes, La Paz Waterfall Gardens, a private Catamaran Sailing tour, a visit to an Organic Coffee farm, all kinds of adventurous activities (f.e. zipline, rafting, ATV, horseback riding, fishing, sailing, hiking, etc) and tours custom made to our guests' requests throughout Costa Rica.

This house is amazing. The pictures really do not do it justice. Even my teens agreed. With the amazing views, lots of outdoor space and a lot of indoor space for us to spread out, we could not have picked a better place to stay. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. We all loved having our own private pool and hot tub that we could use 24/7. The kitchen had everything we needed. And it was very convenient having our own washer and dryer in the house. There is no AC, but we never had an issue with the many ceiling fans, floor fans, and slider doors. I highly recommend this rental.

The house was incredible, and the pictures do not do it justice. We stayed 5 nights and I wish we stayed longer. Sandra, Marco, and Klaas were amazing, and they helped organize all our adventures. We did the private catamaran with Neil, the speedboat with Robert and Ziplining. All of those were amazing. We will definitely be back!

Sandra's home was an amazing place to relax and enjoy all the beauty Costa Rica. The pool was great and the views could not be beat.
The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to make meals as well as welcome coffee that was very appreciated.
The beds were very comfy and each room has fans too keep cool. 10/10, recommend staying at Sandra's home. Her husband and her were knowledgeable on the area and able to give us multiple recommendations and provide transport from SJO.

The home is absolutely gorgeous. The views, the location and proximity to downtown Atenas, as well as being mostly central to San Jose, Jaco, and La Fortuna. Sandra, our property manager, was very friendly and accomodating. The home had a beautiful chefs kitchen with all the dishes and cookware you can think of. The home is also located within a manned gated community for added safety. The reality though, is no matter where we were in Costa Rica, we never felt "unsafe" or uneasy. There were a few things we were disappointed with. First, the bugs. I know Costa Rica, our location in particular, has it's share of creepy crawlers and such. The home and yard/patio area and pool however, were infested with roaches. There were new dead roaches (some alive) inside the home on an hourly basis. We were constintely finding them in our rooms on the floor, in our bathrooms, on the kitchen floor, outside on the patios, pretty much everywhere. Spiders were also an issue. One afternoon we came home and there were at least a dozen or two little worms sitting on top of the bed comforter in the master bedroom. No idea what kind of worms they were or where they could have come from. One night, the roaches and bugs crawling around outside on the patio area was so bad, we could not sit out there. Lastly, there were a few occasions where Sandra either did not respond to our texts or the response was very delayed. It only added to our stress on the day of check-out.

We had a great time at Jewel Villa. The house is as described or better. It is very spacious house. The view is breathtaking! You wake up every morning in awe of the view of San Jose and the mountains. House was fully equipment with the essentials. The house has no air conditioning. We really enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. We loved the house. The neighbourhood is exclusive and secure with gate entrance. If renting a car, a 4x4 is recommended as some areas are very steep. The house was very clean and check in process smooth. Sandra and Klaas were very attentive and responsive. They set us up with several tours - we enjoyed them all! We had the private chef one night, Guillermo. The chef and his team were super friendly and the food was superb! We got the surprise beef 3 course menu. The small town of Atenas is nice, safe and with a lot of great food.
During our stay, we did find some bugs in the house. We alerted Sandra and Klaas and they reacted right away by applying products around the house in 2 occasions. They told us it is common in CR to have bugs outside since it is rainforest, and sometimes bugs get inside. After the products were applied, it takes a few days for the bugs to be fully eliminated, so unfortunately we did see bugs here and there during our stay. Overall, our stay at Jewel House was superb! We would love to be back.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The views are unreal and far exceed the pictures shown. Communication with Sandra and Klass was wonderful and they were very helpful in making our stay so great. They had wonderful recommendations for eating, and our private chef they hired for us knocked it out of the park. Wish the week did not go by as fast as it did!

This house is everything the pictures look like. The views are beautiful. Sandra and Klaus were extremely helpful with planning our activities. They made the reservations for the excursions we chose to do and we hired them to drive us. We had decided not to rent a car and I’m so glad we didn’t. It’s not easy to navigate around Costa Rica and taxi rides in Atenas for dinner were usually only $6. I can't say enough about how great Sandra and Klaus were. They were always available by phone or text and handled any issues that came up immediately. They made our vacation completely stress free and were just wonderful to work with.

Beautiful home worth amazing views. We enjoyed our time at the house watching the view change throughout the day. The house manager, Sandra, arranged our tours and even came to our aid when my husband had to go to the hospital. She made planning a great vacation easy! I highly recommend this house and the management team!

Villa was beautiful. Spectacular view across the valley. Felt very secure in gated community with 24hr security guard controlling access. Villa has an additional security gate. Property was well maintained. Sandra and Marco were very helpful and responsive.

This house was so nice. Sandra, Marco, Glass, and the driver Ricardo was all nothing but nice to my family and I. The only thing was the ants we literally took a day and mopped the floor and sprayed with bleach because the ants were so bad. Nothing I wouldn’t expect but the kids were very extra about it. Sandra has been communicating with me since January for this trip and hasn’t missed a beat. The sunset from the house is beautiful. Jaco beach was nice the only thing I would say is to get a rental car, we reserved one but after seeing the hills and driving we declined to drive for safety reasons. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We went to the market and got some things to cook some of the nights and enjoyed a lot of the restaurants on the other nights.

Our two-week stay at the Jewel Villa was nothing short of amazing. The panoramic view from the villa was breathtaking and truly unforgettable. This was our fifth visit to Costa Rica, but our first time in Atenas, and we were absolutely in love with both the place and the house itself. The layout of the villa was perfect for enjoying the stunning views, even from inside the house. We also want to give a special mention to the property managers Sandra and Marian who were very helpful and made sure our stay was comfortable.
We highly recommend the Jewel Villa to anyone looking for a calm and peaceful vacation experience.

Our family of 4 spent a wonderful week in Costa Rica while staying at Jewel Villa. It is a lovely home with spectacular views, a well-appointed kitchen, comfortable beds, and lets' not forget the beautifully landscaped yard with pool and hot tub. In addition, our host Sandra was instrumental in the success of our trip. She arranged airport transport, hiking and birdwatching tours, catamaran and river boat tours, car rentals (delivered to the house), lunch upon arrival, private chef services and restaurant recommendations. You cannot go wrong with this house; my only regret is that I had to leave. Thank you for a wonderful trip!

This Villa was beautiful! The inside was spacious and clean. If you are traveling with others, it has three separate rooms with their own bathroom for more privacy. The sunsets and view of San Jose at night, seeing all the city lights, were breathtaking!
If you’re an early riser, you may see some parrots in the trees close to the house. We even had some black vultures greet us in the mornings that liked to drink out of the hot tub. One sat right next to us for 15 minutes while we were in the pool. We just sat there looking at each other. It was a great experience to be that close.
The only drawback was the wind the first couple of days. It wasn’t just a light breeze like I had read in the reviews; it was 50-60 mile-an-hour winds. At one point, I thought the windows were going to break. It was hard to sleep at night due to the windows rattling. Sandra informed us that it was not normal, and it got better after a few days.
We give the Villa 5 stars still because you can’t predict the weather, and overall this was a beautiful home. It was relaxing, quiet, private, and it had breathtaking views. Sandra and her partner were great also, very quick to respond if we had any questions.

This is our 6th visit to Costa Rica...we love the Atenas area! Jewel Villa is a beautiful home in the Pica Flora neighborhood...so close to town and has the most fantastic views of the valley. Sunrise was amazing and the weather was perfect; there was always a nice breeze on the warm days. The house has everything you need! There are numerous seating areas to relax and 4 different dining areas. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with everything you would need to cook your own meals. Atenas also has a variety of different restaurants. Next year, we will make sure we are there earlier to go to the Farmer's Market on Fridays. We took a couple day trips but enjoyed spending the majority of our week in the pool and the hot tub just relaxing. We can't wait to go back to escape the New York winter!

Our family of 4 had the most amazing 10 days in Costa Rica. From the moment we arrived in San Jose, we were treated with top notch care. We were picked up at the airport by our property manager Sandra who is absolutely amazing. She was able to arrange everything we needed from a prepared meal at the house for our arrival., stocked refrigerator, rental car and several excursions such as zip lining and a coffee tour. Jewel Villa is a gorgeous house with spectacular views and had everything we needed. We would give Jewel Villa and their management team 10 stars if I could.

We can't say enough great things about this property! From start to finish, Sandra was amazing! She helped us plan all of the activities for our trip and went out of her way to make sure our stay was perfect. We also had the opportunity to meet Marco who was wonderful as well. All of the activities offered were well planned and worthwhile. The house itself was perfect with truly incredible views. The pictures on here don't do it justice!! It was clean and spacious and we loved taking advantage of the outdoor dining/lounging areas. We would highly recommend the Jewel Villa to anyone interested and can't wait to go back!

Our Family of 3 had an incredible 9 day stay at Jewel Villa. The home is meticulously clean and tastefully decorated, bedrooms comfortable with the most beautiful views.. The home had everything we needed and it truly felt like a home away from home.
The highlight of our stay was waking up and enjoying the sunrise in the hot tub/pool every morning.
The property managers are so wonderful and hospitable. They are at your service and only a text away.
I cannot say enough great things about our time here at Jewel Villa, we will definitely be returning to this property.

Clean,Spacious,Amazing views. We had grocery stores 5 mins away, the residence area was quiet and clean.The host was very helpful in answering any questions we had. The only issue was with the hot tub.. it worked perfectly the first night but the other nights it'll only warm up for 20 minutes.
