Newly furnished and updated cottage located in the Belmont neighborhood - one of the best areas to access all that Charlottesville has to offer.
Yellow House is the perfect home base for small families, couples retreats, and wedding weekends. Walk to the Downtown Pedestrian Mall in just 10-minutes or to "Downtown Belmont" on Hinton Ave in under 5-minutes, home to some of Charlottesville's best restaurants. Jump onto the interstate in less than 5 minutes for easy access to Monticello and most of the area's wineries and breweries.

The Yellow House is a classic Belmont 2 bed, 1.5 bath home (sleeps 4) that has been thoughtfully updated to provide a spacious feel and flow throughout this 1016 square foot house. All new finishes and furnishings give this classic home a fresh, new feel.
Upon entry, is a spacious living room with a half-vaulted ceiling with a skylight providing ample natural light. The living room also contains a couch, smart tv and SONOS soundbar and a record player with a select number of curated records. Above the TV is a loft accessed via a rolling ladder and wall-to-wall bookshelves dividing the loft and living room.
The living room opens into the rest of the house, starting with a dining room with seating for 4 containing a built-in bench underneath the bay window. Opposite the dining room are the 2, Queen bedrooms and shared full bath in-between the rooms.
The kitchen features a classic farmhouse style and is fully equipped with everything you need to cook and serve a full meal. It also offers a brand new fridge, 4 burner stove, breakfast table for 2, and access to the back deck. The half bath is located off the kitchen.
The back deck is a two-tier deck with seating for 4 and a gas grill. Off of the back, is a small yard that is shared with the owners of Yellow House (who also happen to live next door). The owners are extremely hospitable and respect the privacy of their guests.
Off-street parking is provided (enough for 2 cars) just to the side of the house. The front of the house features a newly finished screened-in porch with a bench swing and a fenced-in front yard.

Perfect location in the heart of residential C-Ville. Charming historic cottage with modern updates - the perfect size for a small family (we stayed with our 6yo and he loved it - especially the super cool loft and backyard) or small group of friends. The owners (who live nextdoor and are super nice and accommodating) have thought of everything…and there were tons of nice little touches like eclectic record and book collections, kids games, and a great sound system.

The Yellow House is in a great neighborhood with lots of nearby restaurants (Belle, Conmole, Tavola, The Local), easy walk to the Mall, and a short drive to trails and Monticello. It was also a cozy place to post up when the weather turned ugly! If you’re thinking about staying in C’ville, don’t hesitate to book here - we’ll certainly be back!

We loved the house. It was very clean, well appointed, and close to everything. The beds were super comfortable. The only issue we had is that we are not familiar with the front door locking system and had trouble figuring out how to lock the door when we left. Perhaps an explanation in the check in/check out instructions could be included to help your technologically stunted guests.

We loved this place. I stayed here for two nights with my two kids (ages 13 and 17). My son slept on the couch and my daughter and I each had comfortable rooms. The decor is lovely and the layout is really practical and charming. I could live happily in a little house like this. Lots of attention to detail was shown and since my environment really matters to me I really appreciated the thoughtful and classy boho vibe decor. Great screened in porch and sunlit breakfast table at which my daughter worked. Kitchen was stocked and super cute. Kids liked the “shelf” in the shower/tub combo for all their stuff. Generous dining table we did not use but would be great if you hosted a friend or two for dinner when in town. The location is good as it is near the downtown mall (walking distance for most). Anyhow, we thoroughly enjoyed it and I would come back.

We enjoyed our stay, and had a lovely evening around the fire pit in the back, enjoying burgers grilled on the spot. Very convenient to Monticello as well as downtown. There is actually a powder room in addition to the full bathroom.

We arrived on a Sunday and stayed through at Tuesday for a short getaway with our infant son and had a great time. The house is very well maintained with a very nice living area, dining room, and kitchen as well as very comfortable bedrooms. The property also a very nice backyard with a playset and ample porch and deck space to enjoy. Downtown Charlottesville along with many restaurants and breweries are well within walking distance. 5/5 -- thank you!

My husband and I loved our stay. The skylight brightened up the whole house. They provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The blackout curtains in the bedroom were perfect for keeping out light and we were so impressed they had a coffee grinder and chemex (my husband loves his coffee). Super easy walk to downtown, which was nice. Highly recommend!!

Daughter and myself for her bday get away. Yearly tradition. First time in Cville. Great almost everything! Weather was kind of dreary for early May but that was ok. Beds comfy ... everything you need. Wish we could have used the deck and screened in porch but weather did not cooperate. Only down side was no comfy furniture to just chill and read. Lighting was also not conducive to reading. If you are planning to be outside and the weather cooperates ... you will get the 100%. Felt safe and area is uber friendly. You are close to everything.

The yellow cottage is charming, comfortable, and immaculate! The owners are incredibly kind and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They made sure we had everything we needed and even set up the fire pit for us and put out a bottle of wine and extra chairs! We highly recommend staying at the yellow cottage.

Location is great! the house is so cute! One of the beds was broken and we let the management know right away. They were responsive and helpful. It is a great house for max 4 ppl to stay and walk around the city.
