We spent the better part of a week there with our kids and grandkids. It’s in a quiet neighborhood with lots of space. The birds, deer, and rabbits were enjoyable to watch as we relaxed on the back porch soaking up the mountain air. The house was set up perfectly to accommodate us all. A yummy gift bag was on the table with a sampling of local snacks and goodies, and each bedroom and bathroom were fully stocked. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen set up so well. We fixed all our meals while there and made good use of it. I would recommend this lovely get away to anyone!

We absolutely loved our stay! The home was so beautiful and comfortable for our big family that we truly didn't spend much time outside of it. The yard was fenced in so our small kids could run and play and the home was situated up off the road so that we weren't worried about our kids being outside. The home is in the perfect location, right off the main road in town so we were very near grocery store and eateries. The kitchen was completely stocked and outfitted with everything we needed other than groceries! Amy was so sweet and checked in on us to make sure everything was going ok. We will be booking again!

We recently spent a week here. This was the perfect place for a family ski vacation. The 8 twin beds in the large loft were great for the grandkids. The downstairs suites were perfect for parents and grandparents. The spacious kitchen and dining area made family meals easy and enoyable. The backyard firepit was a popular place for Smores. The house feels secluded but is very convinient to the ski area. Several deer stop by regularly for a snack, carrots and apples work well! We can't wait to go back and have already booked for next year!

We had a great time. The cabin is amazing for larger families and groups. The kids loved the upstairs, and it was great for them to have 2 bathrooms dedicated for them. King suites & private bathrooms were very nice. We definitely recommend this place for your stay. Owners were super nice and answered all of our questions and gave us pointers! We will be booking again next year!

We loved staying here. The house was well stocked and plenty of room for the 13 of us. The kids had a blast sledding and playing in the snow. The owners were so nice and we would definitely recommend staying here.

This is a beautiful property in the perfect location for skiers. The kitchen had everything I needed to prepare all our meals. The beds were very comfortable and plentiful. Bathrooms met our needs. Love the modern yet cozy look and feel. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Hope to spend future vacations there. Highly recommend!!’

This place is fantastic! Beautiful lot situated in the trees, just a few minutes from the slopes. Easy to get to and from anything you need. The hosts are super friendly and the detailed instructions were so helpful. The house is what you would want if you were building your own, 3 masters with a huge loft for a bunch of kids. Appliances, decor, and the radiant heating make for a comfortable evening after a long day of skiing. Nobody wants for a thing while staying at the Scissor Tailed, not even the mule deer that graze through the yard or eat the chili peppers hanging on the porch. If you’re looking for quite right next to everything, you won’t be disappointed.

Our family just returned from a wonderful stay at Scissor Tailed Lodge. Comfortable and clean house, well stocked kitchen, beds comfortable, extra bathroom upstairs was a plus for four granddaughters. Family game night was a blast with games provided. The first morning we were visited by a small herd of deer at the back porch. Appreciated the owners texting to see if we needed anything.

The house is beautiful, wonderfully stocked, comfortable beds and furniture, perfect setup for multiple families, & has a great location- close to everything, but still feels private. The owners were wonderful, welcoming, & the communication was so helpful and much appreciated. We had the best long ski weekend with multiple families staying at this gorgeous place. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Thank you to our hosts for allowing us to spend a long winter weekend in Angel Fire. The house is the most well thought out vacation home in which we have ever stayed. From the radiant heated floors to the three king bedrooms with their own ensuite to the large kitchen/gas stove to more outlets and hooks for hangars than you would will ever need. And the slopes are but a a few minutes away. We also appreciate the owners pre arrival instructions which made everything go smoothly. Things could not have gone better.

The property was a perfect fit for our 3 families. We skiied all day and relaxed and enjoyed our friends in the evening. The location was great, the kitchen was fully stocked. The beds were comfortable and the loft was perfect for the kids to play games and hang out. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again!

What an amazing home!

What an amazing home!

We LOVED staying at this home for our annual Women’s Weekend at Angel Fire Mountain Bike Park! The floor plan is so perfect, with everyone feeling they had their own private space as well as lovely shared spaces to lounge and connect. The kitchen is open and bright; with excellent amenities for cooking. We made some beautiful meals here! The location to town and the ski resort was perfect, being about 5 min away from most anything. But also felt remote and quiet, with a very nice outdoor space to enjoy. Can’t say enough good things about this property! Thanks to Amy for helping me find the place when my Apple Maps wasn’t of any use. LOL! We’ll be back! Home Grown MTB Tours
