Enclosed lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. BBQ. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: There is a small fish pond in the garden. . Occupying an idyllic location, this wonderful single level cottage is packed with character and comfort to offer the warmest of welcomes all year round. Having exposed beams, including low doorways, character wood floors, leaded light windows to the front. Beautifully furnished and styled to marry our modern day essentials with charm and character.
Plenty of hours can be lost enjoying the pretty cottage lawn garden with multiple seating areas, including patio area, BBQ area, and further seating areas on raised tiers within the garden to enjoy an uninterrupted view of the neighbouring church. There are plentiful footpaths and circular walks directly from the doorstep to enjoy. Surrounded by quiet lanes making an ideal location for walking, cycling and bird watching.
The Mid-Suffolk Light Railway, known as the Middy, less than a mile away, has a museum with occasional steam trains with carriages and wagons to recreate a slice of Edwardian England, during weekends.
The village of Debenham is just 5 miles away with local amenities. There are many local country pubs which offer pub lunches. Centrally situated within Suffolk, there are many picturesque towns and villages within easy driving distance to explore. Explore the market towns of Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, Stowmarket, Diss and Eye all offering shops, supermarkets, eateries and hosts to daily markets; a great place to enjoy and buy fresh local produce, all within 30 minutes’ drive.
There is also the charming town of Woodbridge (20 miles) with fine restaurants, museums, a picturesque harbour and boat trips. Lovers of history will want to explore National Trust property Sutton Hoo, and Framlingham Castle. Birdwatchers and walking enthusiasts can head to RSPB Minsmere and Dunwich Forest and Heath. Snape Maltings concert hall and shopping village is well worth a visit, and at the sophisticated little seaside town of Aldeburgh fish and chips are a must. Beach 27 miles. Small Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
