Marco’s place was just as pictured; absolutely beautiful. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the breathtaking views. The house accommodated us exceptionally well, sits in a quiet neighborhood, and is outfitted with everything you need. We will definitely stay again the next time we are in Nice.

Off-season on the French Riviera is, for many, the best time to be in Nice, France. Especially if you can arrange a stay at Marco Ferrero’s spacious contemporary home, with three comfortably appointed bedrooms, two large bathrooms, and an expansive, well-stocked chef-enviable kitchen. But most unforgettable are the breathtaking views from multi-tiered terraces, each level teeming with fragrant herbs, orange trees and blooming, exotic succulents. Each perspective offers another view of legendary Nice, a city carved within mountain rock, cradling a coastal arc of the Mediterranean Sea. These settings, perfect for meditation and yoga sessions are likewise equipped with dining tables and lounge furniture, perfect for intimate dining or socializing with friends. The house is less than an hour’s drive from Cannes, Monaco and the Italian border. The January weather was crisp and sunny enough for us to enjoy walks along the beach, and comfortable strolls through the ancient towns of Eze, Saint Paul de Vence, and Menton, all unimpeded by throngs of summer tourists. The same is true for the area’s iconic museums, where you can often find yourself alone within inches of your favorite works by Matisse, Miró, Picasso, Chagall and Leger. You will likewise find restaurants and shops welcoming, un-rushed and indulgent. And Marco is indeed a gracious, meticulous host, a new friend who makes you want to return to this special speck of paradise.

The property was incredible! Better than the images can show. The host was fabulous and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. The house was stocked with everything we needed including coffee and madeleines. The home was clean and immaculately cared for. The property itself is … wow! What a place. 5 star! This home made our Nice trip really something special. Thank you Marco!

We travelled to Nice by car and Marco's house couldn't have been more perfect. The view over Nice was spectacular & the house itself is gorgeous. Lovely bedrooms & bathrooms & the best equipped kitchen we've ever seen. Lots of outdoor seating areas all on different levels & a covered outdoor kitchen / dining area that we used a lot. The host Marco & his family were fabulous & made us feel so welcome & in fact told us to treat their home as our home for the week. They couldn't have been more helpful, making suggestions for things to do, beaches, bars and restaurants & the Brasserie 10 mins walk away was fab. We had a great time there & would love to return. Thank you Marco

My husband, two daughters and I stayed here for seven nights. Marco is a phenomenal host and I recommend this home if you want a lovely stay in the south of France. Location: Situated on a hill, it’s away from the touristy madness you will find right by the beach, Promenade, and major hotels, but only a short walk or drive away from everything you could want. The house: The house is very clean and well maintained. The oversized bathtub was a hit with our six year old - she absolutely loved it! The main living area and one bedroom have air conditioning units - if you are from the US and new to European travel know that AC is the exception to French buildings! During our stay and all of Europe was experiencing unprecedented heatwaves. It definitely got warm inside the house, but if you close the doors the heat will be managed during the hottest of the day. Additionally, the lower level stays cooler than the upper level during day, even without AC. The house is spacious enough and laid out in a way that our family never felt crowded indoors. The kitchen is well stocked and has all the appliances you could need to cook at home. The other thing I loved about the kitchen was the dry pantry essentials. Many VRBO homes lack the basic essentials, so I don’t expect a kitchen to have anything other than appliances. However, a bare kitchen discourages cooking at home since it’s a little inconvenient to buy spices to use only a couple times. Marco’s kitchen was well stocked with all the spices and essentials one would need! The grounds: The villa is a split-level with lots of secluded, shaded outdoor seating. We made it a point to eat our meals at one of the many scenic outdoor areas. The garden is another beautiful area of the house. Our host: When we arrived Marco met us at the house and we immediately felt at home by his hospitality. Later he sent us a message with restaurant, hiking trail and beach recommendations – everything we need to live like a local! It’s obvious Marco takes a lot of pride in his home, and Nice, and wants everyone who stays here to have a positive experience. A week hardly seems like enough time to see everything the French Riviera has to offer so I hope we will be back.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at the beautiful and romantic Saint-Roch. Our host, Marco, is equally warm, gracious, and charismatic. He made sure we were well taken care of and that the apartment was equipped with the neccassary and accommodations of home. The apartment was maintained well, clean and has breathtaking views of the city. We enjoyed our stay and especially meeting such an amazing host, Marco and his wonderful wife. We highly recommend this apartment for anyone who is traveling with teens like us or just a couple..
