About this house rental
Our home is 4 bedroom, 2 Bathroom that sleeps 8, updated kitchen, dinning and seating with open floor plan and 2 full bathrooms with shower tub combo. Large out door deck, boat ramp, private dock and fire pit. Enjoy the peace and tranquillity of nature. The large deck overlooks the lake where you may see bald eagles, mallard ducks, Canadian geese, osprey. We even have an owl that lives in the woods. You can fish from the newly refurbished dock or just sit and enjoy the view. Our house is cozy and comfortable. It may not be the biggest or the fanciest but you will enjoy a million dollar view. Enjoy your morning coffee as the sunrises right in front. Even though the sunset is behind the house as it sets the view across the lake and changing colors on the water is beautiful. If you are here for fishing this is the perfect location. Dreher Island is directly in front of the house by water. You can launch your boat from the boat ramp and be at Dreher Island State Park in 5 minutes. The house location gives great access by boat to the dam to the right and to the left is Little River and Blacks Bridge. Bring your boat and enjoy restaurants by water. Liberty Tap room, Buffalo Creek or Fiddler Blues are our favorites. Before your stay if you would like arrangements for a boat charter or fishing tour please let us know. We will be happy to help you make arrangements.

Overall we had a lovely stay at the house. The location on the lake is wonderful and the patio and glass porch are so lovely. We enjoyed the views and swimming. We rented a boat just five minutes away. The house was as described and had all the basic amenities we needed. The owner was very responsive and helped us figure out a few challenges very quickly. One thing to know is that the master bedroom is elevated up a few steps from the sitting room. While the sitting room has ac, the master does not. We found it fine with fans but wished we had known this in advance.

Just went to a couple of nights, not much to do in the area, views of the lake were spectacular, house wasn't quite what we hoped. Weather was too cool to spend as much time outside as we wanted.

We stayed for our son’s college graduation from Carolina and had a wonderful time! House and location were perfect for a family of 5 and a few day guests. Would definitely book again should the opportunity rise.

Leigh Ann was quick to respond to all of our questions and made the check in process easy. The property is well equipped with everything you need and is beautiful with a super fantastic view. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and you can see a lot of wildlife wandering around. There were four adults there for a fishing trip. We would definitely highly recommend this property and we will stay there again.

Cute, quaint, clean 1960’s home. My only suggestion is to add a regular bed to the bunk room or ditch the bunks and add regular beds .

A cozy home and awesome view
Leigh Ann was wonderful with all my questions. Thank you for sharing your family home that your grandpa built. I especially loved the resident cats. She has all.cooking supplies you need. I brought my own and didn't have to. If you want to sit on the dock, bring your own chairs but there is a picnic table with umbrella close to dock. She also has a huge supply of towels if needed. Beds we're comfy and ac worked.really well. My favorite place was the sun porch with ac. Thanks for a great stay.

My family of 7 (mostly young adults) enjoyed this lake house. View is mesmerizing and so relaxing. Everything we needed for our stay. Grilled on the patio while enjoying the breeze and view of the lake.

Annual Girl’s trip
This house was simply amazing. It is the perfect setting for our annual girl’s lake trip. The house and property were clean and cozy. The owner communicated with us and even checked in to make sure we didn’t need anything else.
There are a couple cats on the property. They are super friendly and do not bother you at all. We cooked out and ate on the deck and not once did they come around.
We couldn’t have asked for a better place to enjoy our friendship and the beautiful lake.

Leigh Ann was a great host. She allowed us to check in early because we had an early flight, allowed my daughter to bring her emotional support dog, and always responded to me in a timely manner. The house and view were fabulous! Loved our stay.

The View! 😍
First, the host was great with communication & setting expectations! The house is older but so very charming! The Sun porch & deck with a view of the lake was the most used part of the house. My husband kayaked the one day we had for relaxing! Updates are being made slowly and the one bathroom needs to be done next but nothing intolerable. I will stay here again if I’m back in the area for sure!

Weekend stay
Good location. The boat ramp was a little tricky to navigate with an F250. Older house but cute character with plenty of space for people to sleep. View from the deck was nice and owner was super easy to get in touch with.

Lots of family fun!
We had 8 people stay and the house fit our family perfectly! We brought 2 pontoon boats and put them in at the ramp at the house which was super convenient. We will definitely stay here again!

Beautiful views
This was one of the most beautiful locations we’ve ever stayed at on Lake Murray. The views were just breathtaking. The owner is the kindest person. She was wonderful to work with! She responded so quickly to all my questions. She made sure we had a new grill waiting for us when we got there. The porch and sunroom were so pretty. We had a great time fishing and caught brim and a huge catfish right off the dock. They are making many upgrades and we are looking forward to seeing all the beautiful changes. We had a wonderful time visiting (from Charleston SC) and definitely will come back😀
