Located in South Portland, this lovely hotel for $452 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Welcome to The Morrill Mansion Inn! This 1800's era townhouse has been meticulously restored to its original Italianate elegance. Formerly the Morrill Mansion Bed & Breakfast, we recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb & VRBO guests near and far as a boutique hotel. Located on the 1st floor, the Promenade Suite includes one bedroom with a queen bed, an attached room with a twin-sized day bed, and a private living room. If requested, a day bed can be set up with linens. The Space: This historic home was built in the early 1800s by one of the founders of the B&M Factory (the M stands for Morrill). Up until 2021, the B&M factory had been exclusively making B&M beans and their infamous smokestack was a staple in the Portland Skyline. What started as a single-family home, the Morrill Mansion saw many other uses before morphing into a bed and breakfast in the 1990s, and recently dropped the breakfast to serve Airbnb guests near and far. Architectural details that make the home unique have been restored and modern amenities have been added to make your stay in Portland comfortable. With just eight guest rooms, our inn offers a peaceful stay satisfying social guests or those seeking solace. Each private room, with a private ensuite bath, is furnished with a queen-sized bed, television (not your traditional cable, we have a smart TV with a YouTube TV account which offers live channels), a white noise machine, a reading chair (or couch depending on the room), and a mini-fridge. During the summer months (May through October) each room has a window AC unit and during the heating season, each room has its own Rinnai heater which allows you to control your own heat. The guest rooms share the sitting room located on the first floor which has a coffee station and luggage nook for guests who need storage before and/or after check out. ***WINTER PARKING: If we should have a snow storm, the day after the storm, we are required to remove all cars from the parking area so it can be properly cleaned out. From 9am through 3pm cars must be moved. Closest street parking with no time restrictions is about a half mile away so its a good time to explore the sites downtown or in our neighboring cities! The host will message through the Airbnb website/app the day of snow removal and any car left in the parking area will be charged a $100 fee*** Other things to note: From November through March, we will be completing light renovations between 10am and 5pm. During this time you may hear hammering, chop saws, thuds, etc.

Everything was just as described and pictured! The only thing was that there was no actual communication with the host. It was all automated so when I would ask a question it would not get answered. But overall a great stay.

The beautiful property is located in a very quaint and charming neighbourhood. The appartement is beautiful and there is a small common area where you can have some coffee or tea that is a great addition. I loved my (short) stay and highly recommend this place !

This property was just right for a quick ladies trip. We could walk to all kinds of restaurants, shops, and bars. Portland Head Lighthouse was just a 20 minute drive away. The room was beautiful and the common area was cozy. We would stay again!

Our room was spacious and clean. The in-room accommodations were thoughtful and convenient. The property’s location was a bit outside of the main areas we spent time, but still very accessible. We enjoyed feeling like we were living like locals, even for a brief time.

I don't know what it was about these 3 lined up rooms but the atmosphere was perfect and peaceful. I would stay there again. We walked to Wayside Tavern for dinner and had the best meal I've had all year.. or close!

We loved it-especially the shower! The only issue was that we had 2 cars…maybe include a little info about parking possibilities-nearby garages, where best on-street parking might be? We’d definitely come back—and try to bring just 1 car!

Clean comfortable 1 bedroom acommodation with small living area and mini fridge. Coffee station and sitting room across the hall was convenient. Close to coffee shops and restaurants located on the west end of Congress, close to the airport; 17 minute walk to the Old Port - Thank you!

Everything was exceptional from the location to the Inn itself. The suite me and my husband stayed in was lavish and cozy it was definitely a wonderful experience and we would stay here again for sure!

In the early morning hours second morning of our stay, Christmas weekend, all electricity went out at this very old property, the house emergency alarm system began ringing w/o relief. After 4.5 hours without heat, freezing temps began to creep into the un heated home, there was no way to take a hot shower to begin our day, no way to adequately see in areas away from windows, or even any way to charge our depleting phones. Since the alarm was still ringing & the host; who lives only a block away, knowing our situation, STILL hadn’t checked on our well being, we chose to kindly reach out to ask if there were emergency lights available (flashlights, battery lanterns perhaps?) & learn of any alternative heat options available to us guests, even extra blankets (since each of the 2 beds only had a paper thin top sheet and thin polyester top blanket. We were hoping for assistance as to how we should navigate through & into a Plan B before the sun set as we would be left in sub freezing temperatures without any source of heat or light whatsoever (again, not even flashlights were available). The host said we could maybe take our phones to a restaurant to charge (with a smiley face) & that there are no emergency lights available to us. No apologies or solutions or acknowledgement to our increasingly problematic situation were given. With our elderly mother in tow, hands and feet becoming cold and numb in the dropping interior temps, realizing it would be hazardous to our safety and health to remain in a location that put us at risk, we notified the host that we would need to be checking out and staying at a hotel down the street that could provide lights, electricity, heat & customer care, asking how we go about getting refunded for that night. She directed us to just talk to VRBO for a refund. After an hour on the phone with VRBO, they let us know that they actually just spoke with the host and she would not be refunding us. When we let her know they directed us to reach back out to her, she was cold, cruel and said she has chosen to not give us a refund for that night, and that our check out date is the following day. This hosts behavior was disgusting and inhumane to expect us to stay at their location in freezing temps without any light or heat source, with the only option being to find alternative SAFE accommodations forfeiting ANY refund. Our experience with this host and booking ruined our Christmas weekend. Thoroughly appalled.

This is a great property if you enjoy fine craftsmanship and architecture. We love how the owners modernized the apartment but left the feeling of a bygone era within the walls. The check-in/out process was a breeze and the rooms were very clean and well taken care of. There just happened to be road construction on the street right outside our window which made it noisy during the day but otherwise it is an ideal spot to stay if you’re visiting Portland.

loved our little suite but wished we had known it sounded like we were sleeping on the streets. Crazy loud neighborhood and paper-thin walls and windows - bought earplugs and antihistimines to knock us out, the 2nd night. If soundproofing was better, we would have given this listing 5 stars.

Katrina's place was as advertised, very clean and beautiful, and well kept. The aot was very comfortable and the keyless entry is very convenient. We would recommend this place with one caution, there is street repairs going on, so it becomes very noisy very early, make sure to ask about construction status before booking. Other than that, the place is phenomenal
