The manager never responded to VRBO or me. The place was dirty and had no towels or sheets on the bed. Initially, I thought housekeeping hadn’t finished so I reached out for help but no response. I ended up going to target to purchase bedding and towels. This was a pretty stressful start. This could have been easily remedied. But I must say the loft was gorgeous and neighborhood was awesome. Just make sure you do a direct chat with manager before you go or be prepared to bring bedding and towels.

This property is in a dangerous area of Rochester. During the 3 hours we stayed here in our 2 day reservation, we witnessed a drug deal happening at the gas station in front of the building. Secondly, the lock on the door was broken, we later found out the batteries had died. I asked one of the hosts to replace the batteries, he said I can absolutely come up and change them while you are gone, we came back and the loft was left unlocked and the lock was never fixed. The host did not respond until the next day, around noon! We had to leave and find another place to stay at 12:30am. Luckily we have friends in Rochester but not many people can be that lucky. Overall I would never recommend this vrbo. It had potential and flopped royally.

With just a little effort this could be a 5 star experience. But it seems the owners/managers don't care. You pay a cleaning fee but there's years of dust everywhere. We had to buy linens to keep the kitchen clean. Lighting was inadequate, although you wouldn't guess from the listing photos, and several light bulbs were in need of replacing. The washer/dryer combo was broken, so no laundry capabilities. Made worse because there weren't enough bath towels to last the week (although some were delivered mid week ... surprisingly). Dishwasher was also broken, and while there was dish soap it wasn't for the dishwasher. These things could be easily overcome, or at least made acceptable, if only there was communication that acknowledged the problems and/or (ideally) resulted in solutions. If you rent this property, do not expect timely or complete communication and don't expect 5 star accommodations.

First off, the space and location are both great and we were excited to get settled in but unfortunately we had a number of issues. Upon arriving at the unit, we were unable to gain entry as the host had not provided the correct access code. After standing outside the unit for 30 minutes calling VRBO and attempting to reach the host, we finally received a text with the correct access code. The unit is spacious and well laid out but we found a number of problems over the next few days including a broken washer/dryer, insufficient lighting (4-5 light bulbs burned out), and a broken deadbolt that we had to repair ourselves. I did reach out to the host via text and while his responses were quick, none of the issues were corrected in the week we were there. We ended up having to use the laundromat. Finally, for anyone who is environmentally sensitive, beware of this listing. One of the adjacent neighbors is a heavy marijuana smoker and the apartment smelled like pot most evenings and all day on weekends. In general, a disappointing showing for what could have been an amazing property in the heart of Rochester.
