A desk workspace just off the kitchen is perfect if you need to complete some remote work. This quiet and secluded location is ideal for families and groups looking to get away to the lake!

As you enter through the front door, the foyer opens to the kitchen, dining room, and family room. To the left, you will find the first set of bedrooms with a full bathroom. This is clearly a well loved family home. The views were great, the upstairs bedrooms were comfortable, the living and dining room were cozy. The laundry room was a huge plus. Kids enjoyed ping-pong and games. The lake is a sheltered area great for swimming. We did have a few issues with the home, however. Upon entering the home, there was a strong smell of mothballs that did not dissipate throughout the week. The deck was not accessible from the main living space due to a broken lock. Looking back at the reviews, this was a problem in July and nothing was done. The deck was accessible through a bedroom, which is not convenient and even that door was difficult to open and close. The deck itself was cobwebby with old furniture but usable, and the grill was appreciated. The downstairs bedrooms were musty. The dock had a broken board when we arrived but Vacasa sent someone out to repair it. He was not able to repair the door lock to the deck, unfortunately. The kitchen was well appointed, however there was no regular coffee maker, only keurig. The blender was broken, and this was an inconvenience as it was listed in the amenities and needed for the nutritional needs of several guests staying. Vacasa can be challenging to communicate with, however, when we finally were able to speak to an actual person, those representatives attempted to be helpful and were kind. They were even helpful in getting trash collection to come to the home as the trash was full when we arrived.

My wife and I checked into the Grand Isle Lake House on Friday afternoon shortly after 4pm. Upon entering the house we noticed the smell of mothballs was overpowering. We unpacked our car... bringing our luggage and two chihuahuas inside hoping we'd adjust. Unfortunately, within an hour it became clear we wouldn't be able to stay. I contacted Vacasa support by phone and informed the agent I spoke with that we'd be leaving. By that point my wife was having a full-blown asthma attack. The agent offered to contact management to see what could be done and I explained to her that we really couldn't wait for anyone to get back to us and that we were leaving. I simply wanted Vacasa to know. She understood and said she would note our account and that we were all set to depart. As we were packing our car we ran into a maintenance lady from Vacasa who'd been sent to look at the deadbolt on the door leading to the back deck. We'd reported that the bolt couldn't be turned and we couldn't gain access to the deck from inside the house. She couldn't get the bolt to turn either. While in the house with my wife the lady agreed that the smell was indeed overpowering and that she'd be reporting it herself. We ended checked into a Hilton in Burlington and stayed there for the remainder of our stay in Vermont. If possible I'd really appreciate a credit or a refund for our stay in Grand Isle.

We had a great time! We cooked in the kitchen every night used the Kayak on the lake. My son caught a fish. There was a pole and bait in the house. I made note of the street name from Apple Maps before we left the gps leaves you on RT and the house is set back a fair distance from the road. This is a plus for peace and quiet. We would definitely stay here again. Plenty of games for all ages in the house as well!!

Good afternoon. We were looking forward to spending 7 days/nights at this house with our children but were thoroughly disappointed. First, upon arrival we killed numerous flies throughout the home while big striped spiders were handing all over the place including the kitchen area. Moreover no one bothered to remove the webs hanging around all entrances and frankly, with the bugs, were scaring the children. Second the central AC failed, we couldn’t get in touch with any maintenance staff near site and/or at VACASA and had to sit in a 88 degree hotbox eating dinner for fear of walking outside and getting bitten by bugs. Third, the lower level smelled of a musty moist odor scent unappealing to even the heartiest of our family. We happily left early on Saturday given that no one wanted to endure this hot bug house any longer. The cleaning crew needs to do a much better job of de-bugging the home both inside and outside while the owners properly maintaining the place. We understand that this is a lake house and you’re going to have a few insects, but this was not worth $6-7k we paid for, I guess you would call it, a vacation.
