Water views from 5 of the bedrooms. You will enjoy spectacular white water views from kitchen/great room while entertaining your family and friends in our fully equipped, gourmet kitchen loaded with amenities! Granite slab island (large), double ss sinks, thermador stove, Oven, dishwasher, compactor, microwave, wine fridge. Our 6 bedrooms & 5 full baths equally loaded with amenities, built-in heaters, 2 jetted tubs, lux showers.
The open, gourmet kitchen & dining area, are ideal for cooking together while interacting with family and friends and enjoying expansive white water views. The expansive views of the beach, Tomales Bay and point Reyes laid out to delight you and make you feel like you are on top of the world.
The lighthouse(Farol) sits on top of a hill, offering completely unobstructed views of Dillon Beach, Tomales Bay and Point Reyes Peninsula. It's located within 1 hour drive North of the Golden Gate Bridge, close to a full array of San Francisco Bay Area attractions as well as the Sonoma wine country and the beautiful Redwoods at Muir Woods
**There are several steps leading to the front door entrance landing.
**Parking is limited to 5 vehicles only in the driveway, there is NO street parking on the road
**Ring doorbell facing driveway located on the property
**Security camera located on the trim on the right hand side of the property next to the bedroom window facing driveway.
**We recommend our traveler's purchase trip insurance for their booking
**We do not allow boats, campers, RV'S, trailers to park in the driveway at this vacation rental

Weddings, receptions, etc. We limit the number of guests at any given time to stay at this vacation rental to 12 people. This vacation rental is located within a HOA with security personnel on patrol 24/7 we have to abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the HOA.

10 wonderful friends in education (and retired) had a fantastic weekend despite crazy weather..we were caught in more than one rainstorm! The house was fabulous..bedrooms and bathrooms aplenty. We spent a lot of time at the table playing cards and games. Walking to the beach and back was certainly a great workout, as the house is almost to the top of the hill. Great workout AND fantastic views. We’ve stayed at several different Dillon Beach homes, and I don’t remember any home with such a vast view. The deer were adorable..many came into our yard and stayed too. We all absolutely loved our weekend.

The house is beautiful, with a stocked kitchen and a huge dining table for group dinners. We enjoyed the view while cooking and enjoyed walks down to the beach.
The property manager was VERY unfriendly in her communications even before we checked in. We were a group of 12 with 6 cars, I asked her where we could park an additional car (the maximum number of cars allowed is 5), and she replied after 2 days with a very unfriendly and unhelpful tone.
When we arrived the house was so hot and the only window we could open was the door to the deck. All the other windows upstairs the cranks have been removed so you can't open them.
Also, we picked this house because of the no-pet policy, we had a few people who were allergic to pets, and we found pet hair in one of the bedrooms. I was not inclined to contact the unfriendly property manager for any of these issues.
If the issues above are improved, I would recommend the house and would stay here again.

The house has superb views and comfortable beds but not much else to recommend it
The house has generally dark interiors partly offset by great views from some rooms.
Particularly annoying was the absence of drawers or closets.
There were no usable hall closets and the two bedrooms that had closets were already full of the owner’s household stuff.
As to drawers or cabinets we found them either absent or already full.
The living room was small and dark adjoining a dining area with a large window with a magnificent view but only long benches for seating.
One result was that our eight person group could not dine that comfortably because of the long benches with limited clearance on either side to step over the bench
The other and worse effect is that the only seating in the living room was a long linear couch sectional which barely held our group and much discouraged good conversation.
Finally the host book was unfriendly and misleading
It was full of "don'ts" with threats to withhold deposit. It specifically referenced beach access within the community only to have us learn that "renters" could not get passes to the private beach which was really at odds with the numerous references to the beach.
All in all,it was quite disappointing and not at all like our first VRBO experience in Mammoth in 2021. This is not up to the standard I would hope to find at this price level from VRBO.
I do hope you share this with the host.

We loved the house. The rooms were great and the view phenomenal!! However, a couple doors were sticky and hard to close. Upstairs shower faucet dripped. We did have a problem with the refrigerator freezing our produce. It was on 32 and we changed it back to 37. Also-the first room downstairs on the left the lock was not working…
Would love to come again.

We were a tour group with 10 people and the house was perfect. It's hard to find 6 bedroom / 5 bath properties, so this was great. The kitchen had all the tools and equipment needed for our chef to prepare meals. The large grill was nice, as was the fireplace. We saw lots of deer, raccoons and rabbits in the ravine.

The views were absolutely spectacular!
We walked down to the beach, we walked up the hill to the pasture area.
It was a perfect house for our family of 10 adults and 4 young children.
I would rent this house again in a heartbeat.

Our family of 10 enjoyed a wonderful stay. From ages 2-86, all were comfortable and happy. The pictures do not do this place justice - the views are phenomenal and the house was absolutely gorgeous. The house and kitchen are fully stocked with everything you could need. We love to cook and had everything we could possible need (and more)! I am very particular about cleanliness and this house was by far one of the cleanest I’ve stayed in, which was very much appreciated. We will definitely be staying here again!

Our stay was very nice! The house was perfect for our family. Very well stocked, with exception of paper towels...which we purchased at the general store. House was clean and presentable. We enjoyed our stay. We did however have a small issue and John (property manager) handled in a very professional and kind manner. He is definitely a very good property manager with the skills to attend to any necessary corrections.
I highly recommend this location.

Two families with young kids stayed at this place. It was our first time at Dillon Beach and we didn’t know there is just one restaurant and a small general store in town, but we still had a great time. The lodge has amazing views.

Amazing views
Overall great stay! The property was super clean and check-in process was easy. Linda was very responsive and easy to communicate with before we arrived. Place was well stocked, internet was great, views were amazing and looked like the pics. Kids loved seeing the deer right outside the door and we loved being so close to the beach.
We had a group of 8 adults and 3 kids. We had enough bedrooms and bathrooms and loved the privacy. Our only complaint was the common area wasn't great for all of us to hang out together - some of us were in the kitchen and some on the couch. The TV is mounted a little high so hard to see from the side wall. The house felt a little smaller than the pics but the beautiful views, proximity to beach, and peacefulness we felt outweighed these things.

Excellent location, property and host
The view is fantastic. The property is clean inside and outside. Very large functional kitchen and all the pots, pans utensils, plates, coffee maker, BBQ etc necessary to hose great in house meals. Dining table overlooking the ocean and beach while eating is a great plus. Many separate bedrooms with beds, most with attached bathrooms.
When you get tired of cooking and entertaining guests, there are many board & card games available to choose from.
The presence of many deer and large birds flying nearby adds to the great views of this place.

Amazing View
The view is amazing. It’s also the most stocked rental I’ve ever been in. We loved the fireplace and we’re disappointed we never got to use it but as chilly as it was in the mornings it was too warm in the evenings after the beautiful sunsets.

Family getaway
We had a great time on our family getaway. The house was perfect for all of us. It was a quick drive to the beach where we spent our days. Nice kitchen with everything allowed us to cook most of our meals at home. Overall we had a great stay!

That view!
It was a perfect quiet getaway for our family. The house was comfortable and well-appointed, with everything we needed in the kitchen. There is an amazing view from almost all of the many windows, and also from the deck where you can plant yourself in an adirondack chair and gaze out at the ocean, or watch the deer graze nearby (we also saw quail, rabbits, hummingbirds and tons of other birds). The beautiful beach is a short drive by car, or a longer walk (also a bit steep). And there are other great places to explore if you're willing to hop in the car and take a drive through some gorgeous countryside--Drake's Beach, Inverness, Point Reyes Station, Bodega Bay are all worth seeing.

Need a Flat screen in main area of home
The house could be cozy if had a more inviting couch, in the main part of the house , with cable and a flat screen TV for everyone to hang out and watch movies especially when the nights get longer. The games are outdated as well as the movies they had their. I think it could be an easy fix

Exceptional
Wonderful place for the entire family to gather for my Dad's 80th birthday. The layout was perfect as it allowed 2 families with young kids to stay in the 4 rooms downstairs while my older parents stayed in the bedroom on the main level. Lovely place, cute neighborhood and exceptional views!

Great place with wonderful view
We stayed a week with as many as 12 people and found the house to meet and exceed every expectation. It had all appliances we needed, including a refrigerated wine storage unit. There were games for the children, and TV, Wi-Fi and the view for the adults. The beach is a short drive and there is a parking lot at the beach. Fernanda is very responsive if you have questions.

Stack Family Reunion
This was an outstanding property-- far better than it appears in the photos.. Spectacular views of the beach, bay and ocean wildlife galore- deer, birds, foxes and more. The house is well equipped, spacious and airy. The home design was perfect for our group. We slept 10 in the house and entertained 28 at a family barbeque. It is a fantastic place !!

I celebrated my birthday at this beautiful house and it was the perfect spot. You can stare at the ocean for hours and the view is even better than the pictures on this site. Everyone was very comfortable and we had a large group. Perfect kitchen with plenty of space to hang out -- the island kitchen, dining room, and living room are all well integrated. Cozy but spacious. The inside wood detail on the house make it very unique and the fireplace is ideal for enjoying fun times with friends and family. And Dillon Beach is a magical place, minutes away from the house. Kids had a blast in the sand dune area at the beach and enjoyed the media room in the house. If you enjoy Bay Area beach experiences, this is probably one of the best. Owners are fair, responsive and nice people. Highly recommended.

This was our third stay at Farol house. We are a group of six women visiting California to attend workshops in Tomales. Having 5 bedrooms and the convertable sofas in the den, along with 5 bathrooms, made it very easy for us to have privacy when wanted and plenty of space to get ready in the morning. The main living area upstairs has plenty of space for all of us to cook and eat together. The views are incredible!
