About this house rental
Salty Blue Mermaid - new construction 2019 located in Indian Beach Galveston, absolutely gorgeous four bedrooms and four full baths, only steps to the beach and near the beach walkover.
Salty Blue Mermaid has a large open-concept living/dining/kitchen area that is perfect for families who like to be together. The living area has a very large sectional sofa, so seating for everyone. There is an electric fireplace and giant TV over the fireplace where guests may enjoy their latest streaming shows on any of the smart TVs in the house. This home also has WIFI and cable television. The large table and chairs along with seating at the island will accommodate all of the guests so everyone can sit for a meal. The three ""adult"" bedrooms each have a king-size bed and private bathroom and walkout access to the deck from all three bedrooms. Each bedroom has a television and ceiling fan - a room for all of the adults to have some privacy! The fourth bedroom is a custom-made bunk room with 3 sets of twin bunks. No sleeper sofas on this property - everyone in a bed. The walkout balcony features ample seating and a nice view of the water as the homes in this neighborhood were built for their view of the water, situated on the lot so each home has a nice view.
Salty Blue Mermaid is close to the water located in the secluded Indian Beach subdivision - it's quiet and nice. Guests will find everything they need in the fully outfitted kitchen to prepare meals for up to 12 guests. The driveway at this home will accommodate 4 large motor vehicles. This home has an outdoor shower (please rinse the sand off before entering the home), a picnic table under the house for shady breezes, and a charcoal grill for preparing tonight's feast! This home is strictly NON-SMOKING and has NO PETS, please.

We thought the house was just right but the dishwasher did not work so we had to wash all dishes by hand. We had no success contacting the property manager AND we made it work BUT we think that there should have been an easier way to contact for maintenance - a way that would have allowed us to speak to a live person with the dishwasher issue

The house was very clean. The location was great, very short walk to the beach. Views of the beach were great from the living room and the balcony, we enjoyed sitting on the deck and having a drink or coffee taking in the view. Overall was a great stay

Our group of teachers truly enjoyed our stay at this property! The home is beautiful! Everything was as picture, or better! Four full baths is a feature we appreciated, and don’t often come across. The beach entrance was about 4 houses down, so we could walk back and forth to the house as needed. We will definitely put this home on the top of our list for our next Galveston getaway!

We had an amazing weekend! The house was perfect! Love how open the kitchen and living area were. Having a bathroom in each room made it so much easier for everyone. The beach was a short walk from the house. My only suggestion would be to bring extra TP. We had to buy some at the store down the road and it was a little pricy. Would definitely stay here again.

House is as advertised with great view of the water (listening to the waves was wonderful). Quiet neighborhood. Plenty of seating for dining and games. Very well-equipped kitchen with the exception of kitchen towels - we found only 1. Read the instructions on what to bring: only 2 trash bags and 2 DW pods were provided. Pretty stingy on bathroom towel quantities as well. No bath soap, shampoo, etc. Hand soap was included.

Great property. Second row, but great balcony porch and a nice view of the Gulf. No direct access to the beach, but just a very short walk to be there. Had everything we needed. Only con was that the noise insulation wasn't great, so kids were a little hard to get to sleep when the adults were staying up. Enjoyed the stay.

New house with anything you could need. Spacious, light, stylish, comfortable beds, furniture, and outdoor seating. Climbing stairs with luggage and ice chests was hard for us since we’re all over 60. But we made it. Easy walk to beach and the private street also good for walking. Ready to come. Ack next year.

What an awesome beach house!
Two families escaped Houston for a long weekend and stayed at the Salty Blue Mermaid. From the minute we arrived everything was perfect and exceeded expectations. The house felt brand new and extremely clean. Three King bedrooms and a large bunk room was perfect for our group and could even add a third couple comfortably. Short walk (minute or two) to beach access with beautiful views from the porch. We hope to stay here again soon!

Well designed new beach house in perfect condition
The house was perfectly arranged for three families with one or more kids. Each family had its own bed room with a king sized bed, TV and its own private bathroom. Each of those three bedrooms had a good view of the the Gulf, and each opens out onto the long covered porch.
Kids have beds in a room of bunk beds. The kids bunk bed bedroom has its own bathroom. There are plates, bowls, glasses supplied for meals in the house.
Access to the beach in the subdivision from this 2nd row house is not easy. One has to walk in water in the common access pathway to the beach for 2nd row houses (which pathway has eroded into a water-filled trench for part of the way). It was too cold to swim when we were there.
