We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! First class, over the top accommodations & cleanliness was beyond our expectations! Nancy was the hostess with the mostest and made sure we were well taken care of, she generously provided us with several excellent recommendations for restaurants & daily activities! We would definitely consider revisiting in the future. No disappointments here!

I was a little hesitant to book this in law suite because we usually book entire houses to have to ourselves for privacy. I didn't need to worry! The suite was perfect. We never heard or saw anybody so it was like we had the whole place to ourselves! We had access to a private back porch the overlooks the lake which is the perfect place to sit after a day out or to start your morning. Nancy was quick to answer any questions we had and provided any of the extras that you would want. The location is perfect. You feel like you are far away from everything but in reality you are just a short car ride from anything you would need. We will most defiantly be booking again!

We thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful weekend. This space is thoughtfully appointed, above & beyond expectaions, which resulted in a most luxurious and relaxing getaway! We loved being able to travel with our senior pets, and greatly appreciated Nancy's kind and easy-going communication. Nancy also has delightfully handcrafted pottery mugs available for purchase. We are looking forward to booking another stay in the future, and highly recommended this location to anyone visiting the Lynchburg area.

I don’t know where to start to express my gratitude to Nancy for her hospitality. This stay beat our typical stay at the Courtyard Marriott and Residence Inn. The in-law suite was more like our own private apartment and provided much more space than staying at a hotel or even a hotel suite. (I’m a Marriott Gold member, so it takes a lot to get me to stay at a rental, this stay beat all of the Lynchburg hotels even the Marriott’s!) My grandmother passed this week and this was the most perfect location for resting in between the funeral/celebration of life events (her service was located near Liberty University). The lake view is so serene and relaxing. Even though it was chilly due to it being Winter, I sat and passed much time looking at the lake from the couch. The jacuzzi tub was immensely relaxing given the busyness of the weekend and provided a nice respite to relax. I grew up in Lynchburg so returning for this specific purpose was not easy at all. This rental provided the comforts of home that you can never get from a hotel. From the throw blankets and plush pillows on the couch to the huge kitchen and walk in shower. The environment was amazing, like taking a walk in the woods and coming upon a house out of a storybook, it was super quiet and private. Nancy provided a delicious homemade treat for us and snacks/coffee were available also! Again, I can’t say enough to recommend this lovely property! Many thanks for helping us make it through this difficult time!

I ended up coming here myself for a few days and the pictures did not do the place justice. It is very private, clean and well stocked with everything you need. Nancy recommended some nice places to eat in the area and was quick to answer her texts whenever I had a question. I would love to come back here, thank you so much!

Beautiful view of the small lake, enjoyed using the canoe. The back porch was so relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. The host is very responsive and accommodating.

We loved our stay here! It was very quiet and secluded. Loved the option of using the canoe and fishing poles! Nancy made the stay very easy and homey. Her communication was Lightning fast, and above and beyond. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat

This was the perfect spot for a restful getaway. The property is peaceful and the house is stunning. Guest apartment is well-appointed, even providing little extras like coffee, chocolates at the bedside, and everything a person could possibly need for a first-class stay. Host Nancy is delightful—friendly, prompt in communication, and just a lovely person. Her assistant, border collie Wheezie, was sweet and friendly too. Our Labrador was along on the trip and he gives Wheezie 5 stars. We enjoyed hanging out on the covered patio, swimming in the lake, and checking out Lynchburg. On days that we preferred to stay put, we watched a doe and her fawns grazing, swallowtails frequenting the butterfly bush, and even a hummingbird who came up to the patio to see what we were having for dinner! The evenings were a chorus of woodland and lake creatures serenading. We felt rested and renewed when we reluctantly headed home, and would highly recommend this beautiful place. We plan to return!

Beautiful in law cottage on a small lake yet very secluded. Saw mother deer and two fawns almost every morning. It was unfortunately ridiculously hot the week we stayed so we didn't do a lot outdoors, but fishing and canoeing were essentially right outside our door. Overall, it was a great stay, and our host was very responsive to any questions or needs. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was clean, modern, well-thought out and comfortable. Love the space. Plenty of shopping and food options within about 15 minutes. Due to a foot injury I was unable to avail myself of several of the amenities, but everything I did use was top notch.

This stay was beautiful. The apartment is very well appointed and the balcony has a wonderful view. We stayed with myself, my husband, and our two dogs and had plenty of room. The photos do not do this listing justice. Nancy was a wonderful host. I would recommend this stay to anyone.

I cannot say enough amazing things about this VRBO. Nancy, the owner is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The home is easy to find, in a great area, and the property is beautiful. We were already mesmerized by the house, yard, stream, dock, and patio when we saw our rental home. Everything was immaculate and Nancy had so many extra amenities to make it feel like home. We loved everything about the home. The bedding, including the extra cot for our son, was the absolute most comfortable beds we have ever slept in and then waking up to the beautiful lake was like a dream. Honestly, so comfy and cozy but modern. We were able to start a bonfire in the back and fish in the stream. Best experience ever.

I stayed here for a long weekend to get away from normal life and relax. The natural setting made it perfect for that. There's a large covered patio to spend time outside, even in the rain, which there was a lot of while I was there. And indoors the accommodations are spacious and well appointed. The host, Nancy, is quick to respond to any questions and very welcoming. She even shared some delicious apple dumplings with me! I would happily stay here again, and very well might go back.

Really every detail attended to. We will stay here every time we visit Lynchburg, if possible! Only note to guests is that the walk down the path to your entrance is best attempted in the light of day. Or with a flashlight. I feel sure that Nancy would be glad to help with any request for assistance. As for us, we had everything we needed and enjoyed our stay very much.

Nancy is an incredibly thoughtful host, making it easy to find your way around this luxurious and yet down to earth retreat. It is incredibly clean , well appointed, spacious and yet in the middle of peaceful nature on a pond. All amenities are high end and well maintained. You feel at home right away and her support is friendly and immediate if needed. We had a very wonderful stay and wished our personal schedule would have allowed us to stay longer. Thank you!! D

Our stay at Secluded Luxury was exactly that! I spent each morning out on the patio with flavored coffee compliments of Nancy. The property is surrounded by nature; wooded lots, the lake and plenty of wild life (deer, geese, ducks...) It was so quiet and peaceful. Nancy went above and beyond to make our stay perfect!

We have stayed in VRBO’s many times over the years & Nancy is one of, if not the best host we have stayed with. The unit is a beautiful lower level in-law suite with Incredible bathroom, kitchen, & view. Nancy went above & beyond to not only make the unit incredible, but also so many little details to make us feel welcome! The setting is breathtaking. In the morning we were welcome by deer watching us as we walked to the car. If only it was warmer out, we would have enjoyed the environment more! We were there on a college visit with our daughter & if she decides to go to school in Lynchburg we will 120% want to stay here again. The only potential negatives are no laundry access & getting to the unit it is a steep walk that would not be accessible to individuals having difficulty with steep/uneven terrain. Fortunately this was not an issue for us.
