Views of LAKE MICHIGAN surf and sunsets from this North Shore Gold Coast cottage. Take a short walk to the beach access or use the bicycles provided by the owners. This spacious home is surrounded by a dune preserve for maximum solitude. You can walk down to the North Pier from the house and watch the fisherman fish off the pier each morning. There is also a small beach access point near the pier that is available to the renters as well, or you can enjoy North Beach Park a mile down the road. North Beach Park has a play area for the kids, pavilions to have lunch and restrooms available as well. There is a ping pong table in the home for those unfortunate rainy days. This vacation home is minutes away from all of your favorite "things to do!"

It features 5 bedrooms (2 queens, 4 twins, 1 full, sleeper sofa in the basement, a sofa sleeper in the den and a crib (crib sheet not provided)) and 3 full baths in a three-suite configuration (two bedrooms with bath in each suite). Has an open great room with vaulted ceiling, fireplace, and sliders to the deck for additional seating and a gas grill for a cookout. Lower level family room features sliders to private rear deck plus 2 bedrooms, game room and full bath, Ping-pong, DVD, and VCR with movie library, Children`s` toys and games, High speed cable modem, Beach grass yard, PlayStation provided, and hiking on marked trails through the dunes. This is not a pet friendly cottage.

Sorry, on-site hot tub is not available for use during rental periods.

Grand Haven is located on the shores of Lake Michigan. We are a quaint, little beach town recently named the "Happiest Seaside Town in America," by Coastal Living Magazine. Here, your family will find Grand Haven State Park, which was voted in the Top 10 Best Beaches in the world by Travel+Leisure Magazine. The boardwalk stretches one and a half miles, beginning at Chinook Pier and ending at the iconic red lighthouse. Historic, affordable, and amusing, the trolley is continually traveling throughout the waterfront and downtown areas dropping you off at any desired location. This property is located on the North Shore, where you can find North Beach Park just minutes away. At the end of the day, grab a blanket to sit on and head to the Waterfront Stadium where the whole family can enjoy the Musical Fountain. This synchronized lights, water, and music show has coined the title "World's Largest." This free show plays nightly at dusk throughout the summer. Lucky for you, all of this is just minutes away and waiting for you to revel in.

The house was the perfect size and layout for our group with small children. The separated bedroom/bathroom areas gave everyone privacy and their own space. We loved the front patio for watching the sunset and the easy access to the beach about 1/2 mile away. Great location!

Overall the stay was very good. The we wanted space for the group to visit and get caught up and the house provided that space extremely well. The house was clean we had no problems. The front door needs adjusting/replacement.

The good...The house is located in a quiet area. I found lots of nearby parks to visit and hike. The not so good...During the first 24-36 hours of my stay the Internet service was out altogether or performing so poorly that I had to rely on my cell phone data plan. I had to reboot the Spectrum Internet modem several times. It was my understanding that the property management verifies that the Internet is working ahead of an arrival. It seems that either that didn’t happen or their checking procedures were insufficient. The last part of my stay the Internet service worked great. During my entire stay, there was no cable/satellite TV services. When I booked this property, the Expedia listing explicitly said "TV with cable/satellite channels". While I didn't go out of town to watch TV, I was expecting to be able to do that at the end of a day. The property management company didn’t give me a credit for incorrectly advertising the property amenities. That was in spite of me dealing with the Internet issue that I previously mentioned. I would not have booked the property if the Expedia property listing had been correct. As of this review, the property management hasn't responded to any inquiries I made about a credit. I never told them how much I expected to be credited, but I felt like I should have gotten something in return for the issues I experienced. If you decide to stay at this property and there are issues, hopefully you will be treated more fairly.
