About this cabin rental
Year round fun on Pokegama Lake, within the Chetek Chain of Lakes. Located along a "no wake zone", you can enjoy watching the boats idle by from the lakeside fire pit or the 4-season room. There are no steps down to the shoreline where there are two private docks and swimming platform. Quick access to several bars/restaurants and less than 2 miles to downtown Chetek. Newly remodeled. 2 bedroom and sleeper sofa in living room. Pets welcome. During peak season, only Sunday to Sunday rentals will be accommodated.

Just got back from a great weekend at this cabin! Everything was just as expected and location, cleanliness, communication, etc. were all great. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boarding and relaxing in the sun especially. Hope to visit again in the future!

This cottage is well-maintained and well stocked. It's very close to town and restaurants. We all enjoyed sitting out and watching the boat traffic passing by. Since the cottage is in a no-wake zone, it's very quiet even on the weekend at the peak of boat traffic.

Enjoyed our long weekend at the cabin on the lake. Sat on the dock and enjoyed the beauty while catching some rays!
Fire pit at night with some live music playing from the local venues was a nice touch.
Cabin was cozy and just right for us.
Lots of great supper clubs in the area and near shops and things to do around town.

We were going down to the dock to get the rope tied up to the pontoon and I fell through a rotten part of your dock all the way to my groin. My daughter who is a nurse had to peel part of the board back to be able to free my leg. It took two people to get me out. There is now a hole in the dock. My injury included swollen knee and sore wrist & shoulders. I wanted to let you know about it in case if there any liability issues?

We’re disappointed that the response was “Oh my goodness Bob. I’m so sorry. With all the rain the past week it must have weakened it”. We all know that’s not true. I noticed it the 1st time on the dock to stay away from that section! But in an early morning time to tie up pontoon, I didn’t realize where it was and stepped through it. My disappointment is you did own it! I have enjoyed many VRBO’s but this one was a disappointed! With the weather conditions, we still had fun even with the accident on the dock. I hope we left the cabin in good condition.
I also attached pictures of my wrist and hip. Just stiff and sore
The property manager took no accountability for the accident on the dock & responsibility!!!!!!

We stayed in Chetek June 14-16th for an anniversary party. This was our first time staying in this cabin. We loved it! Great location, very well kept. Beautiful view of the lake. Lisa was very responsive to questions. Don't hesitate staying here - you will not be disappointed!

This house had everything we needed. The owner was very responsive when I couldn’t figure out the AC. The wife and I enjoy sitting by the bonfire while our 2 boys were only a few feet away fishing off their dock. Having the public boat landing and 2 nice restaurants/bars just down the road was very convenient. Will definitely be suggesting this place to our friends.

Lisa's property is a wondeful little lakeside gem! We stayed a weekend that was a little rainy, but luckily the house was plenty comfortable for us to spend the weekend playing board games at the spacious dining room table. When the weather finally improved we did some fishing down the road at the pier and had some luck with panfish under the bridge. Overall, the cabin is well taken care of and stocked with many convenient amenities. We'll definitely be back!

Had a great stay fish didn’t cooperate but we tried. Had some problems with my motor when we were about to leave and received great help from the couple that was coming in. Didn’t catch there names but guess they were friends of property owners. Lisa if you could thank them again for me.

Darling, very nicely decorated cabin and location with a fantastic view of sunrise on Pokegama lake and a nice loop for walking around several of the resorts.

This was our first time staying at this cabin but stay in chetek every summer for a week. We will likely rebook for next year! We loved the privacy this cabin gave us while also being just down the road from gilligans. There was plenty of space for us and the cabin felt very cozy. Lisa was very responsive and friendly also! High recommend!

It was a very nice property close to Everything. Boat ramp was close and you could Put your boat right in the back Yard. It was deep water, So you wouldn't have to worry about your boat. The owners did get a hold of us in a timely manner if we did have any questions

We had a great weekend. A family member lives in town and this cottage was the perfect place for us to unwind after a long day with family. The cottage was clean and had a great outdoor space. We enjoyed our coffee outside each morning and got cuddled up inside each evening. If we come back from Chetek this cottage will be our first choice for lodging!

The property was exactly as advertised. We had a couple questions come up during our stay and the host was very responsive. The town was lovely and the people were very friendly. Already trying to plan when we can go back.

The place was beautiful and had everything you needed. Beautiful view and it was located right on the lake and not even 2 minutes from a bar with really good food.

We really enjoyed our stay. They did a great job on the remodel inside. It was so clean and nicely decorated and modern. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. We loved the big kitchen table and also that there was a table to eat outside. The beds were comfortable. The bedrooms only had a cloth curtain for door which was okay. The bathroom door was extremely quiet which helped not to wake up our guests in the master bedroom. We enjoyed having a bonfire and enjoyed the beautiful views. We loved the cute shops in town. We ordered take out pizza from the bowling alley, it was delicious. You are in walking distance to the Cantina across the bridge. The host for the rental was very responsive and friendly when we had questions. The only thing I would change would be to provide instructions (unless we missed it) on what to do with our recyclables. We didn't know what to do with them. Thank you for a wonderful weekend getaway. We were blessed to have beautiful weather all weekend!!

Had a great stay at Pokagama Lake in Chetek,Wi. Cabin was very nice, well stocked, many things that I’ve never seen at other properties anything we needed it was there. The only thing that could be added would be another chair in the living area, had to use dining chair which are nice but not for a long period of time. Lisa was very responsive to questions I had. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again. Oh, one other thing maybe a wall clock, I know we all have phones but it’s nice just to look up at the time. All in all great place great time. Thanks, Richard

Great Experience!
This cabin was charming and comfortable, the location was perfect, and communication with Lisa was great. We enjoyed looking out the large front windows at the lake every day and the appliances (dishwasher, nicer stove/oven, and gas grill) were nice to have. The docks worked nicely for our 24’ pontoon. We really appreciated the led lights on the cabin, docks, and swim platform at night. We made use of the paddle boards and kayaks as well. There was algae bloom in the water, but we are familiar with Chetek, and know that it happens in July and August, so we were expecting that. Lisa even took the time to remind us of that before our stay. We had a nice week enjoying all the fishing, shopping, bar/food options Chetek has to offer. Our only criticism would be that the double/full mattress in the main room was not the most comfortable to sleep on. We would definitely rent this place again.

Great Stay
We enjoyed this property very much. We were a little nervous about it being so close to restaraunts as we didn't want the party seen but once inside you couldn't hear anything. The place was nicely decorated and furnished. There were no doors on the bedrooms which made it more difficult for us with small children as we had to make sure to be quiet at bedtime but we survived. The owners were great and very quick to answer any and all questions. Overall a good stay.
