Beautiful apartments and great restaurant on-site.

The apartments are beautiful and well appointed. The on-site restaurant has delicious food. The pools are great. The whole property is beautifully landscaped. Very aesthetically pleasing.

The apartment we stayed in had an adjoining door to the next apartment so the living rooms are right next to each other. The guests in the adjoining apartment had a loud party late at night that was very annoying because the sound really carries through the door. The property is on a very steep hillside. Walking down to Los Muertos beach was easy but we needed to take taxis back up the hill. Easier if you are a younger person.

October 2024 Stay

Beautiful view, fantastic breakfasts and drinks, wonderful staff.

Toilet flush was a 3 or 4 at best in our unit. And there was a random leak on kitchen floor and around island at all times. The balcony outside our unit at neighboring building (not Marcela's fault or doing, but affected ambiance) had 2 dogs that were kept in deplorable conditions, a 3 ft disgusting balcony on 3rd or 4th floor of building. The poor dogs cried and barked desperately, they were fluffy dogs and their fur was matted and dirty, it was 103 F and +95% humidity. It was terribly sad. It needs to be addressed, it made my heart hurt for them and woke me every morning with their barking/crying. I felt terrible for them, it kinda ruined feeling relaxed :'(

Lovely spacious resort with beautiful views

The flat is massive with plenty of space, we had an outdoor hot tub as well as a whole area with grill and bar to ourselves. Nice pool area to chill at and opens till late. Staffs are very helpful and help us with any queries

At the top of the hill so will require a lot of walking upstairs and a hill, during hot weather can be very difficult. Uber and taxi was very easy to get so was not a huge issue.

Nicely appointed

Grounds were great, a good restaurant, pool, spa and gym made the stay super relaxing. The walk to town was only 10-15 for a meal out or trip to the beach. Though it’s a decent climb back up to the hotel, I found the walk a nice way to keep active on our trip. The hotel all in all was really nicely decorated, very green, rooms were huge and very accommodating for our family of 5.

I think the cleanliness of the actual rooms could have been a bit better. The tile was dirty (which I think just accumulates grime over time). It probably would have bothered me less if we didn’t have a baby crawling on the floors.

Hidden Gem

A beautiful boutique hotel nestled on the hillside above Playa de Los Muertos, every room is different. The restaurant is delicious and the staff is very accommodating. The location is a 15 min walk to nightlife, Zona Romantica, Playa de Los Muertos, pier Playa Amapas and Playa de Conchas Chinas. We stayed in La Cuerva, the Cave, a once in a lifetime experience. This 3- level suite includes a huge private terrace w/hotub for entertaining, 2 baths, full gourmet kitchen, waterfalls, wet bar and stunning sunsets from the bed.

You will need to taxi back up the hill. Fortunately cab fare is very affordable.

Would absolutely stay again. the staff were kind and attentive. Great pool vibe.

Great rooms with beautiful views. Amazing staff. Perfect location with a short walk or uber ride to the Romantic District.

Floors in the unit were dirty, even with daily mopping the city creates a layer of dust but worth it to have the open air.

Aside from the painting issue, Marcela is tip top spectacular! we will definitely be back :)

The staff was so attentive and quick to respond to any questions we had. room service was efficient and they even went out of their way to check up on us daily for our needs.

They were painting their pool dining area on a day we were there. The odor from the paint and primer was so strong we had to close our windows for the entire day.

Exceptional service, beautiful rooms, 5 +++++ experience!

I travelled with my teens alone. I wasn’t sure how my teens would like it but the staff went above and beyond to make them feel at home, welcome and to have fun. I can’t say enough about ALL of the staff - the kitchen and bar staff are extraordinary, the receptionist who we dealt with for all of needs, the spa staff, housekeeping staff- all top notch. I wasn’t sure how communicating through What’s App would work but trust me, it was awesome. A quick text through that platform and we had a taxi, water delivered to the room very quickly. The rooms are absolutely gorgeous and sooooo much space. The pools are super cool and provide space and privacy to hang out with your own crew. Anybody looking for a place in PV that is close to the action, safe and five star experience - this is the place. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to be back.

Very relaxing property with lush greenery throughout. A real gem.

We only had breakfast there once. It was just average but to be fair very few people dine in the resort other than snacks around the pool. Too many great restaurants within walking distance.

Our only complaint about this beautiful property was the double bed. Too small. Anyone with mobility issues would have problems walking from town to this property. Very steep climb.

Unique & beautiful stay

Unique and beautiful hotel with very attentive and helpful staff. The style of the hotel was stunning, very cool to wander and explore, and the pools were relaxing and warm. Our room felt like a little home away from home - spacious, comfortable, nicely decorated. Highly recommend Marcela and will definitely return next time in PV
