About this house rental

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, spacious Northwoods Lakehouse and private pier. Located directly on beautiful Lake Julia, this spot is wooded and calm. Great for family getaways and weekend escapes, the spot is perfect for swimming, fishing, boating, kayaking, jet skiing, hiking, exploring downtown Rhinelander (8 minutes away), or just relaxing. Home is located near ATV and snowmobiling trails too. It's a great place to relax, enjoy the Northwoods life, and soak in Wisconsin.

The waterfront is perfect for all. The wide lakefront has a sandy, walkout bottom that is shallow enough for young kids and dogs to play, while Lake Julia is deep enough for boats and water sports. It's the best of both worlds! The scenery and views from inside the Wildflower Bay Lakehouse are beautiful as well. The Wildflower Bay Lakehouse has a large yard, deck with two seating areas, seating by the lake, dock, 3 bedrooms (2 queen beds, bunk beds (both full size), and a twin trundle bed, one large bathroom, and a large family room in the basement. Sleeps 6-8 comfortably with additional sleep space too. Fully equipped kitchen, and in home laundry.

The lake house is located next to wooded property, and directly on Lake Julia. It is relaxing and serene, while still being close enough to downtown Rhinelander for dining, nightlife, and shopping. There are also ATV and snowmobiling trails. If you are a distance runner or biker, you are surrounded by wooded roads with good hills to train on.

Lake Julia is a 241 acre lake located in Oneida County. It has a maximum depth of 19 feet. Visitors have access to the lake from a public boat launch, which is a short 5 minute drive away. The Lake typically is not overly busy, and patrons are respectful of nature and one another. Fish include Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Walleye.

There are two ATV trails located nearby, open May to late November/early December. Many surrounding roads are ATV approved. Enterprise Trail System provides 10 miles of scenic trails (16 miles round trip) in the Oneida County Forest off of Pelican Lake. The trail connects with trail systems in Langlade and Lincoln Counties, so longer rides are possible. There are many of places to stop, making it great for group and/or family rides.

The second trail is Little Rice Trail located west of Rhinelander near Willow Flowage. Little Rice Trail offers 16 miles of woodland trails, 23 miles of connecting road routes, and 76 miles of town roads open to ATV use.

In winter, the area’s excellent snowfall and consistent low temperatures help keep snow trails covered and in top condition. The Oneida/Rhinelander area has over 1,100 miles of snowmobiling trails, which link to other northern Wisconsin trails and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. It’s a great hub to snowmobiling in the Northwoods!

This property HAS air conditioning (a lot of the cabins up here do not). Also EV Charger available for use at additional charge.

Very nice location and amenities to get away and enjoy a beautiful lake and area. The restaurant just up the street the (Haven) has a great dinner menu and great pizzas. The lake is nice and clean with good fishing. Rhinelander Brewery is a great stop to wet your whistle and there are great dog lover activities on the area.

We rented this house for our missionary friends to stay for a couple months of rest. This house worked wonderful for them with their 4 children. The owners were very helpful and easy to work with. The house was just as described.

We had an amazing fall girls trip. This is a great property right on a quiet lake. The property was spacious, very well stocked, and clean. The beds were all very cozy and comfortable. We had great lake views from the cottage and the lake is beautiful. The owners are very prompt with communication. We are very excited to return this coming summer.

This house appears to have recently been made into a rental. The upstairs bedrooms are nice and roomy. One has a king bed and the other room has oversized bunk beds (adequate for an adult on the lower). The downstairs bedroom and area still is kind of musty and cold. If it was summer with the windows open, it would probably be fine. What’s really good? The house is perfect for families and dogs. The water and pier are on level ground. The deck is large and has gates to keep kids and dogs in. The fishing on Julia must be good. We saw boats out every day even though it was chilly and rainy. You have to bring your own towels. The house could use more lamps…and cable tv. It only has Netflix. The furniture layout is odd and sparse in the living room.

Very quiet and peaceful. The cabin has everything you need. The utensils for grill were missing (were there last year). The beds are comfortable. Could use toliet in basement. Just took our turns, it worked out ok with one shower. The weather was cooler. So caught lots of bass, nothern, walleye and 4 musky. Close to town for shopping and bait. The water is shallow, To the right side of bay has rocks .Be careful if you have boat.

Very clean and well-equipped. We appreciated the heads up that we needed to bring towels, which was fine. Lots of closet and storage space, and a great entry area for when we came in off the lake and the snowmobile trail which helped keep the snow and wet outside, where it belongs!

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights. It was cold outside much of our stay. Home was warm and cozy. Kitchen was well stocked. Lots of closet/storage space. The house was very clean. Beautiful view of the lake from the home. Tried our luck at fishing, but cold front may have spooked them. Dock was in good repair. Boat launch convenient. Communication with host was smooth. Very good value for the price.
