A lovely cottage set in a beautiful rural location, yet centrally placed for exploring North Devon.

A delightful cottage, set in beautiful countryside with views over the hills and farm meadows surrounding the property, yet only 2 miles from Barnstaple. There is a fishing lake nearby. Honeysuckle cottage is adjoined to one other (Rose Cottage) set within a large old walled garden. There is a separate Al Fresco area with tables and chairs, for each cottage. The place is well furnished in simple, stylish decor. Being self catering, there is everything provided, should you wish to cook. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable with nice towels and bedding provided. Dishwasher tablets, detergent and soap are also provided. The Internet was a little slow and mobile signal was not so strong, but probably because of the remote location. Milk, scones, cream and jam, a few teabags and coffee pods, were a nice welcoming touch. The owner who lives close by, made us very welcome and was also helpful. The 1/2 mile track down to the property is uneven in places, so a low lying vehicle might need to go very carefully. We had no problem in our Dacia Sandero. We would highly recommend staying in Honeysuckle or Rose Cottage, if you want to get away from it all, yet be in a central spot for visiting north Devon. Will definitely go back.

I have no complaints really. The uneven track (only in places) down to the property was a bit daunting when first encountered, but we soon got used to it and had no problems during our stay. Satnav kept telling us to turn around, but we continued on with the track and the found the property.

Good holiday cottage in a beautiful, peaceful setting

Loved that we had cream tea on arrival, it was a lovely touch. Location is beautiful and quiet. the communal garden is really nice. My daughter loved the mid-sleeper bed. Spacious for a family of 3-4.

Access road can be a challenge if you have a low car but manageable if you limit your trips. ground level bathroom - Bathtub has some drainage issues, but walk-in shower is good. Generally clean, but not excellent as it lacked detailed cleaning.

Absolutely stunning views from the cottage and great location. Very clean and cosy, it has everything you need.
