ARY Royal palms are not professional in hospitality services. Very poor response, dirty rooms, irresponsible staff, Pl don't book as it is a sheer disappointing experience

Karma royal palms complex is very pleasant, but the Ary Royal palms which are in the same complex are rubbish

Shabby dirty apartments and disgusting stairwells with no hand rails or lighting. I had to pay a private cleaner to come and clean the best they could , we were a large group so had to make the most because we could not find alternative rooms to suit us all , the first 3 days we're spent messing around if you wanted to speak to the manager of the rooms you had to go to the Blue lagoon hotel up the road I would not advise stopping in these apartments, if they spent a some money on them and brought them up to a decent standard they would be fine I've been holidaying in Goa for 20 years and do not expect perfection but noooooooo never again we should of all had our money back

ARY is not Royal Palms but its O.K. so long as you realise that.

Location is excellent and is within the grounds of the Royal Palms Resort itself. It must be noted that the ARY section, which is a completely different entity to Royal Palms, comprises certain of the rooms/buildings within the Royal Palms precinct. There is easy access to taxis, tuk-tuks and buses to Margao & Colva, and a 50-100 Rp ride to the beach which is actually a 10-15 mins walk away. The accommodation itself as a one-bedroom apartment was as expected - bedroom, bathroom, lounge area and minimally equipped (though usable) kitchenette, with kettle, toaster, fridge and bits & pieces of crockery and cutlery. At the price you can't fault it though. Step across the road to any of the little cafe/restaurants for nice food, tea & coffee and drinks, alcoholic & others

I asked for a ground floor if poss apartment but only got one up 3 flights of stairs - medically I'm not good with stairs. The whole place is pretty shabby and down at heel, but at the price what can you expect in India. Watch out for the fact that although you can use the pool there are only two of the sunbeds available to ARY, the rest are for Royal Palms members.

Always enjoy this resort but wouldn’t stay at this apartment again.

Breakfast was not provided as it was a self catering apartment

No indication when booking through booking.com that it was a private apartment in a time share hotel that I booked. Was not made welcome especially around the swimming pool as not allowed to use the sun beds or pool towels. Had various issues with apartment, however staff we did deal with were helpful & did try to rectify problems as best they could.

Take care when booking via Booking.com in India as what you see is not what you get

The whole booking was a con we did not stay at Royal Palms but at the renamed Star of the Sea now known as Grand Royale Palms, when we went to the reception at Royal Palms they had no booking and we had to phone someone who sent some lads around from SOTS to collect our luggage and take us around to The Star of the Sea where we spent our two weeks

Not a good experience.

Room AC and hot water was good.

Check-in was terrible. Room is advertised as if it belongs to Royal Palms, but it is privately rented out. This means that guests cannot get free coffee, use pool towels or even leave luggage at reception. Took 45 mins at 11pm to get the keys as the host said the room was unavailable for the duration of the stay (even though it was advertised as available - which is why I booked it). Fridge didn't work.

horrible

had searched for karma Royal palms in Agoda. I got it and the best deal was from booking.com. on opening the booking.com site it takes me to art Royal palms which is not KARMA MANAGED but in the same property individuals taken up flats. this was a shock to us. we were taken to our apartment in the second floor which had very dirty steps from the first floor. in opening the door there was a very musty smell. an AC in the front room that did not work. a tv ripped off from the walls with the wires hanging curtain torn. what more can I say. it was horrible. we moved out to any other property . unless you are bachelors who are ok with unclean apartments and coming only to drink and make merry do not stay here at all
