Cute and great location with only minor complaints

Calla's Place was in a great location in terms of accessibility to the city center. There was a shop, bakery, and chipper just around the corner (very convenient), and then it was just a 10-15 minute walk to the city center. The decor in the house was very cute and the furniture comfortable. The space was a comfortable size for our family of six. The host (Rochelle) was very quick with communication, and the check-in/check-out procedures were clear and easy.

The house was very cold (16 degrees) when we arrived and took a long time to heat up. On our first night there someone walked by at night and banged loudly on the windows, which really startled us and made us question the safety of the neighborhood a bit. In all likelihood it was just someone messing around, but it wasn't a great feeling to start our stay. The house was cute, but a bit run-down. The beds weren't the most comfortable and one of the showers had a broken shower head. (We reported the shower head after our stay - the host said she wasn't aware of the broken shower head and that she would fix it.) There wasn't a freezer, which was a little inconvenient. The layout wasn't the best, as one bathroom is attached to a bedroom but then the other bathroom is on the first level. For adults that probably wouldn't be an issue, but for our kids needing a bathroom in the night it wasn't the greatest. The listing description mentioned complimentary wine or champagne, but there wasn't anything when we arrived.

Clean, comfortable place to stay at an excellent price.

Calla’s place was very easy to access and was in a very convenient location just outside the Londonderry walls. We had on street parking outside our front door and the area seemed safe to leave the car. Decor of the unit was excellent, it was very clean and fully self contained. It suited our purpose beautifully. Three bedrooms were a bonus, then it had 2 bathrooms for our use so plenty big enough for 4 people.

Master bedroom bed was too springy for our liking but others could find it just right.

Excellent location, very clean and nice house and good host

Lovely house, exceptionally clean , tastefully furnished and well appointed. Had everything you could need. Excellent location, a few minutes walk from city centre and the famous walls. Chipper and shop at end of street. Nice quiet location in spots of being very near city. Very good and responsive host, answered messages immediately. Plenty of supplies including tea coffee, milk and a nice little treat from the bakery to welcome us, nice touch. Lots of hot water and heating is good. Easy access to house on arrival with lock box. Do take into account that check out is by 11.00 am, just to factor that into short stays especially.

excellent location - 10 mins walk to the city centre with parking on the street, lovely house with everything in it that we needed, milk and buns on arrival which was lovely after a long drive, host very helpful with tips and clear instructions given for check-in/check-out

Cosy apartment in my favorite town in Ireland. Excellent location, just outside Derry’s walls. The house is clean, very spacious and warm with modern furnitures. Communication with the host was clear and precise. 10/10

There was a bottle of wine and a box of cakes waiting for us on our arrival. The property was clean, comfortable. We were happy with the location.Quiet street, and a short walk down Bishop St to the city centre. Shops, bakery, takeaway and bars all a couple of hundred yards away.

Pleasant

living area and kitchen were as described and we were grateful for the treats and tea/coffee supplied.

The beds were terrible. The one on the second level was quite small for a double. All mattresses need to be replaced.

Great home close to town

Location is fantastic a short walk into town. The host provided lots of towels and toilet rolls and even left a bottle of wine and a yummy cake for us.

Occasionally difficult to get out of street as you need to reverse out onto another one way street.

amazing as always

how close it was to town, newly decorated, big enough for all 3 of us and host was lovely, with early check in and cakes waiting on arrival, couldnt do much more for us

beds in smaller bedrooms were uncomfortable but not a big deal if only staying couple of nights

Price was very affordable for the entire house.. It was very clean. Laundry available on-site. All kitchen utensils and accessories available. Owner was very friendly.
