About this apartment rental
Wonderful space in the heart of the Old City historic District. Perfect base for seeing all the historic sites and taking in all the excitement of Old City shops, galleries, museums, restaurants, and night life. Short walk to Penn's Landing.
Spacious loft (1400 square feet) with private street level entrance. Enter to large living area with high ceilings and large windows providing great light. . Lower level contains 2 queen beds, central HVAC, free Wifi and 46" flat screen TV. This is a great space for a family or group of close friends. Open floor with plenty of space to spread out. In the heart of Old City on smaller street. Walk to everything including restaurants, bars, galleries, shopping, museums, and all historic sites.
*** PLEASE NOTE *** We also want to make clear that everyone knows this is a first floor apartment with a street level entrance. It is a very safe area, but also very busy, especially on the weekends and you may hear some street noise. Some guests may not be comfortable with a street level entrance. Apartment is also NON-SMOKING.
***The Apartment*** This is a listing for the Entire Apartment! It is a very large space with open floor plan - huge living room and open kitchen. The three queen and one full bed accommodate sleeping for eight. There is also a comfortable couch on the lower level and if needed we can provide rollaway beds for an extra charge. This beautiful 1400 square foot has high ceilings, hardwood floors and lots of charm in a historic red brick building. Closet space, ceiling fan, iron w/board, central air and heat, etc. We provide complimentary water and soft drinks in the fridge along with tea and coffee. Complimentary Shampoo, Conditioner, Soap, and a hair dryer provided in the bathroom.
***The Neighborhood*** Situated in the heart of Historic Old City, one of the safest and most charming Philly neighborhoods, with practically EVERY major historic site/attraction within walking distance (from 1-5 blocks): Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Franklin Court , National Museum of American Jewish History , National Constitution Center , Betsy Ross House, Elfreth's Alley, Christ Church, Declaration House, Penn's Landing, Seaport Museum, Washington Square, South St., Convention Center, Reading Terminal Market, Chinatown Great shopping - Near Gallery Row, Boutique Row, Antique Row, Jeweler's Row and more. 3 Independent movie theaters, grocery stores, massage studios, gym, paddle boats, numerous museums, weekly fireworks show. Top Rated Restaurants/Bars - Zahav, Cuba Libre, Revolution House, Zento Lounge, Buddakan, Farmicia, Continental, Fork, Amada, City Tavern, The Reserve Steakhouse, Sugar Mom's, Eulogy Belgian Tavern, Triumph Brew Co., etc. *
***Extras*** Plan your meals: Order groceries/meals to be available upon arrival through FreshDirect. Kosher, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, and other dietary preferences accommodated.
***Transportation*** MFL-Blue Line (2nd Street Stop) Subway/metro, bus stops 1/2 block outside the front door. 5 min. ride to City Hall, Center City, Convention Center, Rittenhouse Square, Avenue of the Arts, etc and the Phlash bus has a stop 1 block from the front door as well as the Big Bus hop on hop off tour. We are only a 15 minute drive from the airport and there is a flat rate from the city cab drivers of $30 (plus tip) from the airport to anywhere in the city. Or there is a train that runs from the airport into center city and then you switch to a local line that stops right in front of our house. This costs about $8-$10 and will take about 45 minutes. and there is a shuttle $10 takes you right to our door called Lady Liberty Shuttle
*****Parking***** This is a VERY touristy part of town and you will have to pay for most parking. The immediate free parking in front of the building is limited to two hours or 30 minutes. However you can park there free all night from 6:00 pm until 10:00 am the next day. Between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm it is two hour or 30 minute. There are also three lots (two outdoor and one indoor) on the same block and several parking lots/structures within the surrounding blocks. You can park overnight at the meters for free. For 24 hour parking if you don't think you will be using your car much the least expensive option is Penn's Landing which is about an 8 minute walk. For metered parking. The meters run from 8AM-10PM DAILY (nothing free on Sunday) so if you know you are using you car all day this might be a fine option for you. You can park for free after 10PM and until 8AM the next morning. Garages. The garages in Old City range from $20-$35 per night and that is just for overnight. If you want to take your car in and our of the lot you have to pay again when you come back. Penn's Landing is about an 8 minute walk and is the least expensive option for 24 hour parking (around $12-$20).
***Check in/Out*** Our check in/out times are flexible, so just let us know what you need. If we have a guest staying the night before or the night after your reservation then check in time is after 3pm and check out time is before 11am. We do this so that we may have enough time to clean the room and apartment for the next guest. We can try to accommodate special requests. Just ask! We look forward to hearing from you! :)
***Guest access***
You will have access to the entire apartment except a large closet in the living room that is used for owner's private storage. You will NOT have access to the property in which the apartment is located. There are 24 other apartments in this five story building but our apartment has its own entrance and is a separate and private space part from the remainder of the building.

Available by cell phone. Also we operate a small hotel 1.5 blocks away so if there is a problem hotel staff are available to help. We also have a 24 hour emergency number.
Neighborhood overview
The best neighborhood in Philadelphia to stay. Eclectic mix of residential, commercial, and retail. Numerous restaurants, galleries, museums, shops, churches, and of course all of the great Philadelphia historic sites. Public Transportation stops on Chestnut and Market Streets. Subway stop one block.
Getting around
Bus stops on Market Street and Chestnut Street. Apartment is 1 block from subway and bus stops. Taxis all over. Plus horse drawn carriages. But walking from this apartment is the best option as everything is so close.
Other things to note
Please note this is a NON-SMOKING facility. If any evidence of smoking is found in the apartment after check-out (smell of cigarettes, cigars, stains or burns, physical remains of cigarettes or cigars) the guest will be assessed a minimum charge of $250 and possibly more depending on the extent of damage.

Check in for keys is at 301 Chestnut Street unless otherwise arranged. When checking out, please lock door, and put keys through mail slot in front door. The two hour parking on Letitia is free from 6:00 pm until 10:00 am the next morning but spots are limited. Otherwise there are several lots on the street for 24 hour parking. Daytime street parking is $2.50 per hour. Parking lots are input $20 overnight, more for 24 hour. The least expensive long term parking is at Penn's Landing, about an 8 minutes walk. HVAC control is on street level floor to the right of white leather couch. (In summer please set to 80 when checking out, in winter please set to 60 when checking out.) Wifi sign on and password is provided here but also located on bottom of wireless router. Daytime number for service is 215-965-9003. Emergency service number is 267-236-3555. Trash room is located out the bottom level door and to the left up the stairs. Please feel free to use whatever food and beverages are in kitchen. Also fine to leave unused items there as well. Guests are encouraged to leave apartment as they found it. We will replace linen, towels, and toiletries for next guest as well as replenish if your visit is a multi-day stay.

Apartment is ground floor but attached to 25 unit condominium building. Guests are asked to keep noise down after 10:00 pm. Guests are kindly requested to not wander through other parts of the five story condominium building of which this apartment is a part. There are several owners residing in the building. Guests are also requested not to move furniture around in the apartment because of the potential damage to the hardwood floors. In winter please set thermostat to 65 when you are leaving the apartment and in the summer please set it to 78 when leaving. Guests are encouraged to use whatever food and beverage is in kitchen and also they may leave unopened food and beverage items. Guests are asked to take with them opened food items and to leave the kitchen, dishes, pots, and plans cleaned.
