The stay was fine, but I paid for an ocean front room and there we multiple tents set up in our view. So no ocean view was visible. They posted a note for 3 days that we would not have water for 8 hours, thank goodness the plumber never showed up..

We’ve been staying at Hotel Sheldon for 5 years. It’s the only place we stay in Hollywood Beach, FL. It is an older hotel that has been updated but it’s very clean and we’ve never had any issues. It’s right in the middle of the broadwalk by Margaritaville so you are close to shops, bars, restaurants and live music. Most importantly you walk right out the door on the broadwalk and beach! They also provide beach towels, umbrella and two chairs.

Very tiny place . Esp the bathroom was very tiny even for a petite person like me .. Soap/ Shampoo dispenser was falling apart and off pretty much every time we used.. Location was good; provided towels for Beach which was very handy;

The hotel was very clean and perfect location. The picture shows the room much larger than it really is.

Hotel under construction when we stayed. Room was not cleaned well upon arrival. Requested cleaning they did not. The ice maker had black chunks of something in it. It’s a great location.

It was just ok, the linens on the bed were not crisp and clean, the sink was old and cracked and the stuff they used to cover the older building smell was overwhelming and we couldn’t even open a window to air it out. Problem with the price they charged because the Hotel app kept adding 5 people to my room and even though I contacted them about it 3 times, it hasn’t been resolved. The gal at the hotel said I had to contact hotels.com and vice versa. The location was great.

We walked right out the door to the several miles of beachside restaurants, stores and hotels that comprise the Broadwalk. Fabulous beach view from our room. Our room was cleaned daily and absolutely pristine. Two chairs and an umbrella came with the room which meant we could sit On the beach as late or early as we liked and no charge! Weather stunning. Staff welcoming and accomodating. Older building but well kept. Great value as you are not paying for a fancy lobby but the beach is your go to hang out!

The Sheldon was perfect for our short stay in Hollywood Beach. It was clean and updated. Very convenient location!

Property was lovely /beach beautiful. However it would have been better if I could have gotten a room with window view of beach instead of a corner room with the view of highway.

Convenient location . Near the beach centralized location and parking is close. The room was clean and our stay was quiet. Unfortunately when I requested a room cleaning in between my 5 day stay they only removed the trash and did not freshen up the room. (Bathroom needed some tlc) This was a service that they offered but did not provide. Other than that I definitely recommend for an affordable stay on Hollywood Beach

The location was amazing. Simple hotel, well worth the price. I thought the beds were hard, but that was my only complaint (and most folks like a firmer matress than i do)!

The lobby was extremely dark. The clerk, was not friendly and tacked on a resort fee - no advance notice and no resort to justify it. The halls reminded me of pictures of a rabbit warren. 7 turns from elevator to room. When you turned on the water in the bathroom sink the pipes rattled so loudly you couldn't hear the person standing next to you. Nice ocean view. NOTHING else!

The building and rooms are quite dated, but work is being visibly being done to improve that. As others have stated, the Fabuloso smell kind of cheapens the experience, especially when you first arrive. The location is on top of bars & restaurants, so be prepared for bumping music sun-up until about 10 or 11pm every day. The beach chairs and umbrella are a great perk and being able to walk out the lobby doors and onto sand was awesome. The service and kindness of literally everyone on staff is remarkable. Our room was 2/3 the cost of my parents' who got themselves a condo with a rooftop pool and restaurant, so I would argue that overall the value was reasonable.

Beware. This is nothing more than a low grade motel. The bldg is in need of repair and rooms are too. Also note that parking is a block down and a block over and at night it is very uncomfortable to walk as it’s dark and not a nice area. We were unable to stay due to the conditions. Hotel Sheldon was perxectly nestled in the middle of the broadwalk. I could walk a half hour down the beach and broadwalk in either direction. There are a lot of people yet it remains fairly quiet and safe, with walkers all hours of the day. I never needed my car and walked along the walkway for my coffee and meals. The bed was a little firm for me and I wished there were chairs out front of the hotel for coffee and people watching but the beach wall sufficed. The hotel provided beach chairs to carry to the beach, which is only 20 yards or so from the front. Beach towels were provided as well. Great spot for the sunrise!

The Sheldon is a nice hotel that gives you ease to move about the boardwalk. You are close to Margaritaville and the theatre so weekends are full of live music on the street's. The Sheldon is in the middle of doing a lot of updating to the hotel rooms, there is construction going on in the building. I will be excited to see the hotel completed. Our room had a king bed with an ocean view, windows do not open in the room. You can hear the people late night on the weekends on the boardwalk “ having fun” so be aware of this. During the week it was very quiet. We had a small coffee pot, microwave and mini frig. Each room came with 2 beach chairs and umbrella. The room also offers a safe to keeps things in one place and 24/7 free coffee in the lobby. We enjoy the Sheldon and their staff, it’s like coming home to family.

Fantastic location and very friendly and helpful staff. Gave great recommendations for places to get a good bakery breakfast and Argentine grill dinner. Also got us a taxi to cruise port. Doing some Reno’s, but honestly does not take away from the charm of the hotel. Will stay there again especially as they provide everything for a day on the beach right outside the doors.

This property is one of the more experienced treasures on the Broadwalk, which only adds to its allure! The checkin staff was pleasant and helpful. It is located 50 yards from the Hollywood Beach Theater. Many, many food options within walking distance. No need for a car rental. I loved the amount of pillows on the firm, yet comfortable mattress, Towels provided for the beach. In addition to a set of beach chairs and an umbrella in every room.
