The staff was great. The decor was charming. However the magnetic door locks were malfunctioning. Three trips to the lobby to eventually get in to my room.

Wow...great price & breakfast was very good!!!

There were a couple things they advertised on their website that they didn’t offer once we got there. They no longer charge the resort fee, which is good because it’s a basic hotel stay, nothing “resort” about it. But they do charge a $20 parking fee which says is included on their website. They also advertise a free drink from their attached restaurant, which they no longer do. It was disappointing that some of their perks that would make you book, are the exact things they no longer offer. Frustrating to find out once we got there and had already paid for the hotel.

The bathroom shower was really bad there was no room

The accommodation was nice and convenient to everything with in walking distance. However it was a pet friendly and the room had carpet and there were dog stains on the carpet. It would have been much better had the room had tile on the floor.

It was very nice

The hotel was OK. You get what you pay for. I was pissed off about the resort fee that I thought was excessive and there was no "resort." It was a ruse for stinging you for breakfast charge and parking. $55/person was excessive for that. Just be honest--parking and breakfast extra. Had I known that, I might have booked a different hotel because I thought this one was cheaper than it really was. Overall, OK. I have been an extensive business traveler, and I marvel at the dishonesty of hotels sticking in extra charges so capriciously.

Staffand location were fantastic. However be aware that: parking is bad, pictures don't match the website. The remodeling was a little shoddy. Barn door on the bathroom, it was extremely hard to close, due to it being hung too low. Shower was extremely small and the shower head was coming out of the wall.
2.0
Good location with comfortable rooms. Only negative is the limited parking and problems finding parking when hotel lot was full.

Check in was fast and friendly. Our stay included free breakfast both mornings which was surprisingly good. Keto friendly options including turkey sausage and fresh fruit. We also received a free well drink coupon and 25% off appetizer which was a nice addition. The room was basic and in need of updated furnishings. The bed was a plush pillow top memory foam and very comfortable. The shower was small, the head was coming loose from the wall and not adjustable so getting under the spray was a challenge. Overall it was an average stay in a reasonably priced room within easy walking distance to the casinos, concert venue. Heavenly Village is literally across the street with many shops and dining options and Starbucks was just across the street also. Walking to the lake for a stroll at sunset was just 10 minutes away and an incredible sunset awaits on a comfortable September evening. It was a nice relaxing weekend and much cheaper than staying at one of the casinos or new Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville for between $500-$1,000 a night. I'll take this hotel any day for just over $250/per night.

Room wasn’t cleaned even after requested. Shower and sink water pressure were erratic. Not enough electrical outlets.

The room looked nothing like the website pics. False advertising. Floors were dirty, shower head was coming out of the wall and water sprayed up to the ceiling. The sliding door at the bathroom was super heavy and was really loud. We were called 5 days prior to our stay and told they were overbooked and we would be in their sister hotel which reviews indicated was older and less nice. I said no and was called back a few mins later stating they found a room.

Pro: Right in the center of South Lake Tahoe. So, having the parking here is great. The reception was very nice.
The hot breakfast was nice.
Con: They don't have enough parking space for all the people staying here.
We stayed 2 days. House keeper didn't bother to come to clean our room.
The barn door bathroom door is soooo heavy, we couldn't close it. Not the cleanest room.. the carpet was dirty.
Pool was not operational.
I don't think i would come back.

The staff at checkin and breakfast are incredibly helpful.

Easy check-in and out, clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast w/ plenty of hot food choices—would definitely stay here again.

We booked with Hotel Becket, we were moved to a different "hotel", it was an unsafe environment. I do not recommend this hotel. We left without staying at the hotel.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at Hotel Becket. First time staying at this property after staying at a different one the previous two years. Would definitely stay again. The breakfast was very good and the friendly staff was helpful.

The area is nice but the hotel rooms they need everything new..
The bed are so hard floor really dirty the bathrooms they have hair everywhere.

We checked-in and the front desk clerk gave us three hand written free drink certificates for the hotel bar that closed at 8 so we didn’t get to use them. She said we could use the gym next door, but didn’t have the pass to do that either. The room was nice, but there was a big wad of hair in the shower drain and 2 of the 3 shower products were EMPTY. Breakfast was good, but one of the people working here was talking to a couple from 10 feet away and they were practically yelling at each other. I wouldn’t stay here again!

The vote is located, at a great location for walking and dinning and enjoying all of the heavenly village amenities.

No microwave in room

Rooms are not the cleanest, musty smell to them, parking is a hassle on weekends, but overall positive. Would stay again

Lack of transparency/false advertisement. Booked the hotel Beckett and got put in some old hotel in the back. Would have appreciated some transparency around that instead they made us believe we were booking the Beckett hotel which was listed on the itinerary.

We’ve stayed before and had a pleasant experience but this time was not the case. Checkin took forever and then the room smelled like someone let an animal pee and then cleaner was so strong trying to cover it. The shower was so hard to open and shut. It was a quick stay, but we were disappointed!

We booked Hotel Becket on Expedia and it appeared to look like a decent hotel. When we got there we were told that we needed to check in at the ‘back’ as they are split into two different hotels. The ‘back’ Hotel Becket was not what we were led to believe in the pictures posted on Expedia. It was extremely old and in need of repair. The parking lot was dark and unsafe. The room was not vacuumed and very outdated. Definitely not what is shown in the pictures posted on the Expedia website. Nowhere did we read we would be put in a “back” hotel that appears to not be run by Hotel Becket employees. Very misleading. We were extremely disappointed and most definitely would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

When we went to check in we were told we had to go to their sister hotel Hotel Blue. Completely unacceptable.

My husband and I stayed here for the 4th of July weekend. We were also able to bring our small dog with us and enjoyed the outdoor atmosphere where we could sit and have a cocktail and not have to be stuck inside our room. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect location, nice size room. Bed was comfortable. Carpet had stains and they charge a separate resort fee of $28.00 which is so ridiculous..

Was charged $84 resort fee upon checking in and was not listed on my booking. Rooms were poorly updated and chairs in lobby filthy. Did give free drink per night and breakfast was ok and included. However, cocktails were $17 each was pricy.

The website was misleading with the rooms , our toilet ran all night ! And the shampoo and conditioner bottles were almost empty . The beds were comfy and the room was clean .

The location and convenience

The room was very average. Could have been a little cleaner. There was clumps of hair in the shower drain which caused it to pool up. The bed is memory foam and very hard. Great location and breakfast had lots of options but ran out of coffee and hot water which was not refilled while I was having my breakfast.

There is very limited parking space. Came back at 9:30 in the evening had to park in a completely different parking spot. Dark and on a gravel road. Was told that the patrons from maybe the restaurant were parking there restaurant closed at 10pm. Woke up next morning still no parking spots. One car per room. My daughter and son in law had no car so where are the 2 spots available?

They’re trying to charge me more than the rate I got through Expedia

I do not recommend this place if your expecting high end hotel.
-Double charged. Took several call backs to get rectified. Had to call bank to verify each time. In the end it was refunded however it tied up $685 dollars on my card for about 7 days.
-Rooms smell like pee, mold, and bunch of other unidentifiable odors.
-Shower head was set to a height for a 3.5 ft person and when adjusting broke and shot water everywhere.
-Toilet seat looked like it was dragged behind a car for 20 miles.
-Key cards had to be reset twice and still didn't work right. Sometimes would open on first try, sometimes on the 17th. This typically would just be an annoyance and we wouldn't think twice about it. However during our stay a bear had wandered into the area and was frequenting the hotel nightly. Being able to get into the room in a hurry was pretty paramount.
-Breakfast was not good. Eggs burned and whatever the meat was (I didn't try it) looked pretty gross.
-Getting dinner to go one night at the bar and witnessed several people coming up stating their meat smelled "funny". I asked one of the people if I could smell it and it seemed fine to me. The gentleman who smoked the meat was there and seemed very capable in his job. Burger was pretty good so take this part as you will.
-We were with a large group of people all staying in separate rooms and all had similar issues with everything listed. Several even had the double charging issue.
-Additionally on the trips to get the c

The only good thing about this property is how close and convenient it is to shopping, and dining. You can walk to the dining and shopping locations.
The property's pictures are not even close to what you will see in person. The carpet is stained, dirty and disgusting. The shower is so small, and the water just pours out of the doors so you will end up with a swimming pool on the floor of the bathroom.
The free breakfast was old cold waffles, burned scrambled eggs and burnt microwaved sausage patties. No juice for the kiddos.
The site states this property has a swimming pool, and it does not have a pool.
The bed was about as comfy as the place could get.
They double charged a lot of the parties in the group we were with; they did not honor the prices that Expedia quoted us and charged way more the "resort" fees than what they advertised.
The restaurant/bar was out of a lot of their menu items and the pricing was pretty high for what you are getting.

Bait and Switch. When we checked in we were sent to their sister property Tahoe Blue hotel behind. When we got back from dinner there were police in the lobby. 2 am in the morning someone was shaking our front door trying to get in. In the morning there were police in the hallway and next door unit. They were evicting a homeless person.
Went back to Hotel Beckett and complained. Told them to move us to Hotel Beckett or we will leave. They moved us but were not very understanding. Hotel Beckett is newly remodeled and feels safe. Tahoe Blue Hotel is dark and does not feel safe. I would have never stayed there. This was our Anniversary and was not a good experience. Would never stay there again!

Not a ghetto spot, but definitely nothing special by any means. $800 for 2 nights, I’d shop around and personally won’t stay again at that cost.
The front desk staff was great. Young man, painted nails (not a diss) was phenomenal. I am a small business owner, and I can say give the man a raise and a couple days of paid vacation. Well done. The lodge was clean for the most part (bathrooms not so much). You’re close to everything, which is a huge plus. Once again, not the nicest spot in Tahoe, but definitely not the worst.
