Not worth the ridiculous cost. Staff did not accommodate the fact that the picture of the room we booked looked nothing like our actual room. Plus lots of construction. Extremely disappointed.

Location is amazing, as beach access is right outside your door. Most people know they will be spending an arm and a leg to stay here, but little things are also a joke. $9 for a bottle water seems a bit high. Be prepared to spend 3-4 months of your house mortgage for a 4-5 day stay. Bedrooms were not as clean as the price tags, loose hair in the sheets from previous stay, had to call 4 times to get room service the first day.

This was a disappointing stay. We splurged on a night at the Del as a birthday treat and had some of the worst service I've ever experienced. The property itself was under construction, which wasn't clear during booking. I had to park way on the other side of the property and walk outside of the area around to the front entrance, with all of my stuff (luckily not much for one night for our fam, but had all our beach stuff too). We also reserved a fire pit for some smores by the beach. That was a fun experience with good service, but ahead of time, we were just trying to figure out the logistics and couldn't get a clear answer from anyone. We didn't know where people could park - one of our guests has trouble walking so we wanted to know the best route to get there. They just kept saying "yeah they can go to the beach with you". I tried reiterating my question 3 times, and it was like I was speaking a different language. Check in was delayed, so I didn't even get a room key until after 4:30pm. We found out the beach had a hazard. Not the hotel's fault, but it would have been nice to know that when we booked, or when we checked in, or when we mentioned we would be going to the beach... we found out that the staff knew, but they didn't give us any warning. So we went to the pool instead - very basic, service was lacking there too. I would have ordered some ridiculously expensive drinks but nobody ever came by. Not the service level or experience expected for $1000/night prices

We loved learning about the history of the property. The original building was built in 1888 so walking into it you can see the charm that has been maintained. We cannot wait to go back once renovations of the rooms of the original building are complete. Our stay in one of the new buildings "The Views" was everything we had hoped for as we were beachfront and loved every minute of our stay.

Was not told property undergoing major renovation so it was basically 1/2 open and parking was a nightmare. Occupancy seemed low but Hilton still upcharged me $150 per night for change from partial to full ocean view.

Celebrated our 50th Anniversary here because this hotel is so beautiful! Had a suite in the Views section with spectacular ocean views. Room 6625. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Love the Sun Deck Restaurant!

Hotel Del was amazing, but hotel was under construction so check in was confusing. They did not make it clear where to go to get to my room. Check out was the same.

Many attempts were made to call housekeeping, room service, and the front desk without an answer. There was dried blood on the wall in the bathroom, luckily I ran into housekeeping in the hallway and somebody did go clean that area. Finally, when I was able to reach the front desk, I asked for extra towels and a toothbrush, I was reassured that they would be delivered and they never were. The facility itself is under a lot of construction/renovation and I was not made aware of that issue at the time of booking. The beach was not swimmable due to a high bacteria count from sewage. Needless to say, I was very disappointed in the service, cleanliness, and lack of communication regarding the hotel conditions especially considering the price and the fact that I had two rooms.

I travelled with my family. It was the perfect location for young kids as it has direct access to the beach. Everything is charged additionally though, the description said beach umbrella and chairs but we had to pay extra for it. The pool is ok, could be bigger for the size of the hotel though. There is a market to get quick bites, drinks and breakfast which is perfect for families

The trap was not that great. The main hotel is totally under construction and closed except for the lobby and a couple shops told about that I would’ve not stayed if I had known.

It was an amazing experience and can’t wait to go back and stay longer. The weather is perfect, the pool is great temperature for the family. So many options at the resort for food and shops. And the beach is right outside your room door.

Problems with straff coordination. We paid for breakfast in advance, but the buffet restaurant was closed. We therefore had to pay at the alacarte restaurant for breakfast, once more.

Food options for kids is bad. No room service. Valet lady was amazing. Guys don’t pay attention didn’t offer to help with luggage. Bell hop was the worst. I understand everyone checks out at the same time but you should I allow guest to use the kart to check their own luggage out. Food service restaurants servers were slow and trash

A lot of construction that was not communicated to us when we checked in. Upscale restaurants onsite were terrible while the Grocery ENO's and Taco Shack provided quality food. All shops were overpriced and not inline with shops in town. Room was great but room maid service was slow. Hotel and Beach are beautiful and worth the outrageous prices.

Since it was fathers day and my husband absolutely loves the beach and convenience of the Hotel Del, we decided to surprise him and give it another try and are so glad we did. Our previous experience left us not wanting to come back. We stayed two nights in The Views, King Ocean View room that included access to the Ocean Club. We had such a wonderful time this time around, and all the staff were just amazing. We look forward to our next stay.

It had been a dream of mine to be a guest at this hotel, and when my husband and I finally got the chance, we were underwhelmed. Although the property is iconic with unmatched beach access, we were shocked to find out most of the hotel was under construction upon our arrival. We had not been notified when booking or at any point prior to check in. Additionally, this property is historically stunning and clearly a large attraction for hotel guests and day visitors, which is why we felt we were being nicked & dimed at each turn. When asked about using the beach chairs, we were told they could be rented daily for $50/person, so we opted to sit on the sand with our towels. For how much money people are spending to stay at the Del, this was a disappointing experience.

The location is beautiful. However, the staff seems very incapable. At check-in there was a very long line as three people attended to a single person. It seemed like the five behind the desk were all in training. Despite the “DO NOT DISTURB” sign on the door, housekeeping kept knocking on the doer well before the 11:00 am check out time. Staff needs to be trained to correspond to the rates charged at this beautiful hotel.
