Room was ok. Some updates have been done but more needed. Pictures look better then actual. Price a little high for older Motel. Nice young ladies at check-in.

Overall, pretty mediocre. No hairdryer, no iron...sauna didn't work. Had to ask for coffee, had to ask for towels. Less than standard.

Overnight stay on our way to Isle Royale

The owner was very helpful, the bed was comfortable and the accommodations basic but clean. The Airconditioner was extremely noisy and disruptive. I’m sure a easy fix as the new owners continue to upgrade the units

Very nice place considering they're in the middle of remodeling/renovations. Very clean and the fact they didnt come pounding down the door at checkout was a very big plus in my book! 😀

Lot of updates being do,many already have. Driveways are very easy to miss. Never been in a motel that doesn't bring clean towels every day. Had to go get clean ones. Overall, it's clean, quiet, and a nice place to stay.

We drove up and left. There was standing water covering the parking outside the units. The main building appeared extremely run down and unkempt. What a disaster!

lack of maintenance in all aspects. This place was dingy, carpet old sticky and gross, lamp shades old tattered and yellow, bathroom dirty. Our rooms had a letter from the owners stating that they were trying to make changes. I have read reviews about these changes that went into play over a year ago or so, doesn't seem like much has changed. The letter talked about the changes they did make, one of them being a fresh coat of paint. I found this ironic because the bathroom paint was over wallpaper with about 4 inches of wallpaper left from the bottom up not painted. For $200 a night I was shell shocked by the conditions of this place. I understand that it's not an easy task to overhaul an entire motel, especially if there are financial deficits. However, you can tell that there is a lack of care and effort just by looking at the grounds when you pull in. Anybody can cut grass and pull weeds to make a place look presentable. This place literally look like it was abandoned. I wasn't even sure if we were at the right place because of how dumpy the appearance was. The letter also stated that they put new beds in all of the rooms. I must say that the bed was comfortable however, I felt very uncomfortable sleeping there due to the previous conditions I stated.

The room had newer beds which were comfortable but location wasn’t great if you want to go out to local bars. You’d have to drive.

Staff was kind, not very inviting though. The room was very outdated and very dirty. The first thing noticed was someone’s dirty socks under the table, trash and used plastic utensils between the microwave stand and dresser. The whirlpool tub was also the shower but was uncomfortably dirty, we did not attempt to shower. Good thing it was only a one night stay!

Brief stay before a race. Obvious effort on the owners to improve the place. VERY clean room! Great towels and linens made is feel comfortable. Staff accomodated our very late check in, whixh meant a lot to us. Would stay here again for biking and races.

Great place, would stay again

The place was clearly in rough shape not terribly long ago. The owners are doing some great things with this property and I would certainly stay there again.

Carpet in my room needed replaced or a good cleaning. Everything else was great, especially the hostess.

The bed was great! Other than that it was pathetic! Try cleaning the exhaust fan and other stuff, that would help a lot. Needs a lot of work for the new owners!!!!

This is an old motel but very clean. the beds were great and the pillows amazing. New owners are working at updates so I would stay here again.

The staff at the Lumberjack Inn went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable.

New ownership and you can tell they’re putting a lot of effort into fixing up the place. Nothing fancy but met our expectations. New beds and the rooms smelled and looked clean. Pool and sauna were also nice.

Loved that they were accommodating to having hockey families at the motel. Biggest complaints: my bed was rock hard. The water jug was empty.

Ok... This was an older hotel and they are improving it awesomely! The rooms are updated with new beds, brand new flooring, bedding and towels. It also has the largest shower and hotub combination I have ever seen. The pool area is completely updated, clean, and has a ping pong table and real swedish sauna where you pour water over the rocks. The owner Nick and his wife are awesome and they even built a hockey rink outside for their two kids. Finally, we were on our way to a VRBO, and shared that we had to bring our own towels)but didn't have any), so they gave us a couple of older clean towels to use, no charge. This is hospitality at its finest. :)

Despite it being in the middle of some renovations, it was a really nice and quiet place to stay. We will definitely book our next stay there. The pool area was really nice and clean. The front desk receptionist was super friendly. I can’t wait to see it again when everything is fully renovated & updated. 😊

The saying don’t judge a book by its cover fits with this hotel. Excellent service. Dude was nice. Think he was owner? It’s pretty neat they take part in activities like fires and such. They are in process of remodel but improvements show and I’m curious to see the future for these guys!

Staff is doing their best to renovate hotel. Rooms were clean and bed was new. In room jacuzzi was great. Water pressure was very low. Tv remote working was hit or miss. Staff was friendly.

Loved the outdoor area for relaxing in a antigravity chair with a cocktail and enjoy nature, just "zenning" We were at the same property a couple of years ago and are excited for the improvements the New owners are doing, this will soon be the place to stat in Hayward!!!!
