Nice comfortable bed. Carpets are old since its an old bldg small bathroom for em 406 but room is good size I like that there is a smaller room with a full size bed that is private. The hair conditioner you cant get it out of the bottle. Small doors and elevator and no lobby ramp for wheel chair easier access

The hotel was decent. Dated but they tried to paint over the old. Had a lot of room. Neighborhood was interesting at night. Free shuttle to Newark airport was nice. And easy to take the PATH to Manhattan.

This was my 2nd stay at Ramada. The property is 8 mins from Jornal Square and 10 mins to some nice India restaurants.

Desk staff rude and disrespectful. Was highly disappointed that there was little customer service at all. No good morning, no thank you for your stay, just attitude. I asked about the deposit return of $250, which I was not told about, and all I got was “we will process it”. I’ll never recommend this hotel to anyone. I understand they are renovating but you’d think they would be more accommodating. I have difficulty hearing and the desk agent wouldn’t speak up when asked. Bathroom toilet area was extremely small. My husband , who is average weight has difficulty getting up and down in the cramped space. Had my sons, who are larger sized men, been with us, they would never have fit. Hall way in room was extremely tight. Again trying to maneuver bags, and even a larger person would be impossible. The only good thing about our stay was the bed.

Not far from the PATH line, good for getting into Manhattan and Newark airport. Low income area but safe enough. Free shuttle bus to Newark terminals was a pleasant surprise

The hotel itself is not bad. It's older but well maintained. Luis another of the front desk staff was very helpful, professional and polite. He booked me into a better room so the remainder of my stay was fine. The breakfast was good. A variety of cooked food, breads and pastries. They can add more fruit selection. I took issue with Victoria, one of the front desk staff. She was very rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. She was the first person I interacted with and that soured the trip for me. She also booked me into what must have been the worst room in the hotel. It was next to elevator, over the street and reeked of stale cigarette smoke. I did not sleep the first night.

Uniquely designed room. Had seperate queen bed bedroom. On chair in the room. Breakfast was well stocked but they only offer small bowels and tea plates no dinner plates. They want you to work to get a meal.

My husband and son got stuck in there elevator on way back from breakfast and there was no hurry for them to try and do anything. They also weren’t that helpful with directions.

I booked thru Expedia and paid there. Staff didn’t inform neither asked me that they would charge me again. I did raise my concern upon check out but they were insisting it was appropriate. Still hasn’t gotten my refund til now

Place is very old; carpets don’t feel like have been cleaned up and toilets are very dated. We didn’t have our toilets that didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it or change the room after multiple comments

A quick walk to India Square and lots of Indian food! Staff were super helpful. Bathroom and room were very clean. The window air conditioner unit was quite loud.

Seems to be a Jersey City issue, fend-for-yourself parking. I would have preferred parking at this property rather than having to use a parking structure a block away. Otherwise it was a good experience. Staff was helpful, room was clean and cool, and the price was reasonable.

Hotel is in a residential area and DOES NOT have the parking. Closest parking is 0.2 miles and almost $30 for 24 hrs. The front desk person doesn’t even know anything about the parking except the location. It was little inconvenience. Rooms were also not worth the money. Worst (which I haven’t seen in a hotel like this) was them to ask us $200 deposit per room in advance for any damage. Only good thing about this hotel was, 1. Heart of the city so easy access to PATH and NJ transit buses, 2. Lots of restaurants (specialties Indian Square where you can find good Indian food).

This is simply not for us. We booked 4 nights stay and had to get out after 1 night. Very old hotel, and could not take the smell on the floors and inside the room. Although we got the suite for our stay, terrible sofa bed, kids had a nightmare sleep, old toilet. The price per night is not less, not worth the experience especially when we travelled far for a beautiful vacation in New York. We felt unsafe of the neighborhood as well. The Staff at the reception also very serious, not homely at all. We would not recommend this hotel especially when you are on vacation.
