The Bad
1. When we got inside of room we found leftover food.
2. Dirty room floor.
3. Water down drinks.
4. Unwelcome sales pitch.
5. Close to impossible to book a reservation for restaurants.

The service was very slow. We stayed here one night. At check in we got no information of property grounds or needed any reservations for the restaurants. We literally got no information of anything without asking. Only one bar area open once the pool closes. Only one pool, a lot children. Properly looks old, good for family with kids. Not the style of hotel or service of my choice. Wouldn’t stay here again.

The bar staff and some of the food staff could benefit from food and beverage hospitality training
To be fair hotel was going through renovations and it was low season so they could have been short staffed.

The stay was good. The description was not accurate. It was advertised as a beach front property but failed to mention that you can not swim at at the beach. They tell you to *swim at your own risk* The food was good but they just basically have the same food every day they just call it something different but its the same chicken, beef, fish and pork. There was a struggle daily trying to find chairs by the pool, we just shared one chair most of the time. The staff was nice.

The food wasn’t amazing, but the pizza place and Mexican restaurant Panchos were the best. The shows were great! It was also amazing that they had a water park but I wish they stayed open a little later. Beautiful property! They need another swim up bar though, it was a little hard to get service.

We had a great time, only negative thing I can think of is that the ocean at this property can't be used for swimming, so pictures showing it be calm are misleading (its always choppy with a black flag).

It's a nice place, rooms are very simple, beds are ok, it is noisy in the rooms, you can hear everyone around you close their doors at all hours of the night. The air conditioning in the resort was out during our visit, the room air conditioning worked ok but struggled to keep the room comfortable during the day on some days. The staff are what make the place, I did not meet a single staff member that was not nice and willing to help or just offer a friendly smile. It is a three star place with five star staff.

My kids and I overall enjoyed our stay at Royal Solaris. We had a lot of fun but I wish it was better explained when reservations had to be made for the restaurants. We were first told first thing in the morning and when I tried going in the app to do it it kept saying it was closed. When I asked the front desk someone else said the restaurant reservations open the day before at 6PM. We only had that night to enjoy reservations there since we had activities planned the rest of the nights. The kids pool was also really nice but could use some more shadded areas and also some renovating of the kids slides since the bottom of them looked a bit black.

Night time entertainment isn’t really a thing. Only thing the resort really does is host Karaoke almost every night in the lobby. Besides that staff is extremely friendly. Resort is peaceful and quiet

Me and my family recently stayed at the Royal Solaris and our experience was far from satisfactory.
1. The air conditioning throughout the facility was not working. When we went up to our room, the AC was not working properly either. Despite multiple complaints, the issue remained unresolved throughout our stay. It was extremely uncomfortable, especially during the hot days.
2. The food at the hotel's restaurants was disappointing. The quality was poor, and we found it difficult to enjoy our meals, especially when we weren’t given the option to make dinner reservations for a proper meal.
3. The staff provided inconsistent information regarding various services and amenities and asked if we had “health issues” so they could help us better. What??
4. Our entire stay seemed to be deprived by the hotel's loyalty program. You could only reserve dinner if you’re loyalty. You can only get quality liquor and decent service if you're apart of loyalty. For an all inclusive resort and this not being our first trip to Cabo, we found this absolutely absurd.
5. The shower handles in one of our rooms were broken. This added to our discomfort and inconvenience, as it took several requests (4 to be exact) get the issue addressed.
We only stayed that first night out of our four day trip and left without a refund and booked at a separate hotel down the street. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere if you’re considering this hotel.

If you have another option, go somewhere else. This hotel is just poor. Outdated, dirty, and the food is simply bad. Which is very hard to understand because Mexican food is amazing. I wish I've chosen another hotel. No AC in restaurants and lobby. The hotel offers an asian restaurant, a mexican and a mediterranean. Plus a buffet. The first three are reservation only. Very hard to book, and surprisingly, the restaurants are not even full. The Capitan of Marco Polo (mediterranean food) is very rude. We found two cockroaches in our room.

Overall property was quite nice with lots to do for children. Very family friendly. Staff were all very helpful and amazing. Our biggest criticism is that there was no ac at any of the dinning areas, including the restaurants. The main buffet dinning hall was absolutely insufferable and uncomfortable due to the heat and lack of air circulation. 2 doors were opened, no windows opened for the entire hall. It made all our meals unbearable.

The worst part is the time share situation. We didn’t get a discount on our room or anything that would require us to listen to a timeshare presentation. The way it’s set up when you first get there, the timeshare person is your greeter who acts like he is there to show you around the hotel. Then you get caught up in a timeshare presentation where they get very rude if you don’t buy into it. I can get more into where they promise you things for sitting through the 90 minute presentation and if you don’t buy they cancel everything and ruin those 90 minutes plus that they stole of your vacation time. Also, the plastic cups they use for drinks seem like throw away cups but they seem to wash and reuse them. The last bad thing is I got the worse case of food poisoning. The cramps felt like labor pain. Overall, the regular staff is friendly and nice and although the hotel needs updating, it is a nice property.

The staff were great but we picked the wrong place. Property is a bit tired, our shower didn’t work properly and didn’t get fixed after we asked. The sliding door to the balcony didn’t close properly which meant all the outside noise came in and also the noisy aircon was working all the time to keep the temp down.
On the flip side the food was pretty good apart from every time we went to a restaurant they asked if we had a booking. Turns out last night we were there we found out we were supposed to download an app to make bookings but no one told us.
The outside and pool areas were pretty good but finding a free lounger is a challenge.

We are pretty laid back - we do not ask for anything extra. Comfort is a must - that is our goal when we do all-inclusive. There was and is NO aircon in the lobby, buffet area, theatre, or room ( weak). The high temperature was unhealthy for everyone, especially for children and seniors—there were no Fans as an alternative. Food is very limited in choices. No bacon, not even a mimosa in the morning- they say it is only for members... the worst all-inclusive stay I've been to ( and I have ten all-inclusive travels so far in my life) and the worst part was: there are cockroaches in our room ( 3rd Floor) after we upgraded ( with extra charge) from a dumpy smelling room ( that smelled like a wet sock0: Room 258
The staff did not even apologize.
When we complained about the heat, they told us, "Yes, we know it's hot—we are hot too!" This was quite rude.
Rosario, the one selling the " membership," told me, "Oh, every time I see you, you have a problem to complain about." I corrected her, saying, " Sorry, but I never come to see you—you are the one who keeps on coming to me asking me for membership. "
TO ALL MY FELLOW VACATIONERS- PLEASE SPEND YOUR MONEY AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THIS RESORT IS NOT WORTH IT. IT IS OUR WORST VACATION BY FAR.

We had this vacation booked for months ahead of time and I had been reading reviews and looking for tips or tricks. It seemed that the reviews were all over the map. So we didn't really know what to expect. All I can say is visit the Royal Solaris and make the decision for yourself. Our family had a great time. Room was clean and updated. AC worked great. Customer service is excellent. They put on huge productions daily. Food was ok, some things we loved and some was just okay. But we ate well and have no complaints. Drinks...and lots of them. We did the club membership tour and got comped some tix to a snorkel trip in Cabo San Lucas. It was great. Lots of tropical fish. A school of stingrays and sea turtles. Regarding the sales pitch. You can say no and they don't care, they'll be off to the next guest. Mind you they are good at what they do, so if at the end of 90 minutes you really don't want in, say so and call it. We were interested...slept on it. Went back the next day and guess what? We are members now and can't wait to go back.

This is not a 4* or even close to 3*hotel. The food was inconsistent even in the bookable restaurants. Most of the staff were nice but as the week drew on they became more surly. Jokes on them because the end of the week is when we tip. The maid service were exceptional and got a large tip as our room was cleaned very well. It’s also timeshare and call it memberships they get grumpy if you don’t do their sales. The children’s center were great and the slides while small were fun. The pool is cloudy and way too warm. Additionally horror of all horrors it’s a Pepsi hotel.
