Perfect location but room was very small, the room dimensions are terrible as the walls are not symmetric, bathroom door couldn't be completely opened because the toilet seat is directly behind it so you could enter the toilet with a body angle. We asked for a 2 single bed room, but we found that both beds sides are not clean It looks like a previos guest dropped a drink on the beds and it wasn't clean. We reported the problem to change the room, they said that we should checkout before 11 am and re-check in at 3 pm!! As if it was our mistake or problem! Then they said they will clean it, we went out and returned to hotel after about 4 hours, and they didn't clean it! Then we reported it again and they let us wait in reception for about 40 minutes until they clean!!

Friendly and helpful front desk staff; they even checked us in 1.5-2 hours early as our room was ready. The hotel is within easy walking distance to Amsterdam Central Station, even in the rain without an umbrella. The place was clean and spacious by old world, European standards. The breakfast was varied, tasty, and satisfying but get to the coffee machine early. There is only one and it is a bit of a bottleneck.

My stay at this hotel was quite frustrating. They charged for everything, including early check-in and late checkout, which felt excessive. The room was very small with barely enough space to move around, and the bathroom was poorly designed—water from the shower flooded the floor. The towels were thin and uncomfortable, far below standard for a hotel at this price point. Overall, the experience felt overpriced and underwhelming. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re okay with paying extra for basic amenities.

Location is very good which is close to AMS central Station. There are eating and shopping places. Close to bus stops. The first night stayed of the room was fine. We checked out and returned one day later for another two nights. The bath room door was unable to close and water was coming out from the shower area. The room was just good for two ppl which is the standard in Europe I think. Breakfast was good.

The location was excellent. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. The room was small, was not cleaned sufficiently during our three night stay. The shower stall was very small, had mildew and water leaked through the door, wetting the floor.

Great location, staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast ok. Our room was for 5 of us, 2 adults , 3 kids, it was a bit more like a youth hostel room than a hotel costing £350 per night. No wardrobe or drawers for clothes, bathroom tiny with 2 shower cubicles like a gym changing room! It was fine for 2 nights but not for longer

Staff is very helpful ad service minded, and we liked them very much. But we didn't like the breakfast it was very boring and had very few options, and the room was never cleaned properly during our stay. And the beds were not good. Shower needs to be repaired.

Not 5 star but then we were not paying 5 star prices. Ideal for we needed... somewhere to sleep... shame cleaners were so noisey early morning. Shower missing a door so bathroom more like a wet room bit aside that perfect for what we were after.

Room was not upto standards especially for the price we paid, I would not return room was so noisy you would hear a pin drop from next door, then we moved to another room which was terrible, smaller bathroom the shower head was spraying every direction it was shocking half a curtain and half shower door the water went everywhere & I was eating alive 2/3 from that room.

The hotel is very accessible to transportation, it’s only a 7-minute walk to Amsterdam Centraal. It is also very near the Red Light district and you can have a lot of options on bars, cafes, and restaurants. I was expecting it to be so noisy but the noise is bearable. It is a very nice hotel and considering its location, you get more Han what you paid for.

A central location, but also loud because of it, both within the hotel and to the outside. So if you want a quiet night sleep, this might not be the best fit. But location is good. Ok room, but a bit worn down. The bedding seemed old and was a bit uncomfortable because of this. They should invest in new beddings I think.

Avoid this place. We stayed here for one night in July then travelled on to Portugal. When i opened my suitcase, it was full of larva from some creature as i had left it open during the night beside a warm radiator. There were 20 or 30 eggs among my clothes. We rang the hotel to inform them and heard nothing back. This ruined my holiday.

Location was very good and staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were tired, some things didn’t work (eg air conditioner) and one of our rooms had a lot of mould in the bathroom and limited fresh air. Our rooms bore no resemblance to those in the photos on the website.

Hotel avenue is a 5 minute walk from the Centraal Station. It was very clean and had a comfortable bed. The shower was very small but the bathroom was very modern and clean. This is not a fault of the hotel, but if you use hair conditioner , bring your own. The hotel body/hair soap that is provided is not the best. The room we had was pretty quiet. There is an elevator if you need help with luggage.

We were initially given a room with a standard bedroom, despite paying for a king size. It was very small and disappointing. Then we noticed hair on top of the duvet, so went to the reception. They were very nice and moved us to a larger room with a king size bed as paid for. Everything else was clean but basic

We stayed two nights before our Scandinavian and it was sufficient. It wasn’t too far from central station but rough dragging luggage around on cobblestone streets and sidewalks. Check in was easy, the room was clean and they offer a breakfast for a fee, which we didn’t try. Too many coffee shops around. Amsterdam itself was dirtier than I expected but that has nothing to do with the hotel.

Toilet was smelly and shower head was leaking badly. The foot of the bed was broken and it was not rectified from the day I checked in till I checked out.
