I really enjoyed staying the weekend here. Probably one of the best time.

All was good, however we booked a view room but the 6th floor was to low to view the lake.

I wanted to love it. The hotel is absolutely gorgeous with awesome historical detail. The hotel and room were both very clean. The location couldn’t be better, extremely walkable to many tourist attractions and restaurants. The disappointing part was the room. The bed and pillows were bad quality, very uncomfortable. I would expect a lot more for the price of the room. In addition, on Friday night the house music from the bar downstairs kept us up until midnight. Above our room was a basketball court with pounding basketball noise periodically throughout the night. Lastly, the man seemingly in charge of valet was very rude and disrespectful. He addressed me and when I started to speak, he scoffed and said “nevermind, I’ll talk to him”. I don’t appreciate sexism. He made it very obvious. This hotel is stunning and some of the staff were exceptional. All that being said, I would visit again but not stay. I expect a lot more from a place like this. So many missed opportunities for good service but mostly disappointing was the inability to sleep from the horrible bed and noise. It’s a reasonable expectation to be able to sleep comfortably in a nice hotel as such.

This place is absolutely exquisite! The architecture and decor are incredible! The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Clean, friendly staff but hotel is dark and rooms are small

Property does not have their own parking - so that was an additional $200 I didn’t expect. The bed had exposed nails, which cut my kid’s foot. Our room was tiny, bathroom shower was odd - water ran hot and cold. Our room looked out at a brick wall.

Loved this hotel - full of vintage charm.

Amazing rooftop, fantastic rooms!

Location great, gathering space great, rooms tired

For my first experience using Hotels.com it was NOT a good one at all. I booked a King bed with Millennium Park view - a very nice room. on Hotels.com . the room was available and I secured it. Upon arrival I was told it was not available and they blamed Hotels.com. They then stuck us in a sub-standard room with a view of a fire escape and alley ( see attached photo) . They blame you for this issue. - Still no where near the expectations of my original booking.
Really disappointed in Hotels.com and Hyatt.

We stayed at CAA several years ago and it was exceptional. This past stay was
ok-best part was early check in .
We had a water leak from shower under glass partition and had to use all our towels to dry floor. We left our room 6/21 at 10am and returned approximately 4pm expecting room restocked with dry-clean towels and trash removal. This was not the case.
We called for more towels and received them, but were in room so we couldn’t get it cleaned.
For such a “nice “ hotel this was disappointing.

Great hotel, Staff was pleasant and helpful, the hotel building is an amazing architectural and historical landmark. Well located. Would definitely stay again.

Great location and lots of things within the property and nearby.

The Chicago Athletic Association is incredible. The hotel itself has so many things to do that you could honestly spend the entire night exploring inside the building and never get bored. The structure of the hotel itself is beautifully built, unique, and fascinating. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and professional. The location is right across the street from Millennium Park and the lake is just beyond that. It's a great location and a great hotel. We had a wonderful time and would love to return!!

This is a stunning hotel with gorgeous common spaces and interesting events on offer (one is a tour highlighting the history of the CAA, which we were unable to take this time, but hope to do another time), in a fabulous location (basically right across from the Art Institute of Chicago). The staff was terrific, too!
Just be aware of resort fees surreptitiously added on by "third party" vendors (as we learned when checking out). These fees were to cover a couple of glasses of "complimentary" Prosecco, WIFI, use of bicycles and who knows what else that we were neither informed of upon check-in, nor used. The management kindly waived them when we pointed this out. Did I mention the staff was awesome?! Would definitely stay at the CAA again!

Fabulous, quirky hotel ! Loved my 5 day stay there. Great choice of bars in the hotel. We enjoyed Cindy’s and the atmosphere in the Sports bar on St Patrick’s day was electric .
Would have liked our stay to be a bit cheaper but it is in a perfect position in an amazing American city. Get what you pay for !!!

My favorite hotel stay ever!

Enjoyed our stay. Great property with many amenities only disappointment was no coffee maker in room (instant coffee and tea provided) for the first quick coffee of the morning.
4.5
The architecture was fantastic, and there’s a roller skating rink inside which was fun. The rooms are very comfortable with plenty of space.
4.5
This hotel is a destination in and of itself. I wish I was staying longer to explore more. I will definitely visit again. The walk ability was great too!
4.5
Wonderful location, comfortable and clean room, nice common areas and rooftop bar/restaurant.
4.5
Very nice property very busy common areas

This is a beautiful place to stay and there is plenty to do on the property and around. The lobby and game room are beautiful and classy. Our only downside was that the room was VERY hot. The thermostat cannot be adjusted because of the age of the building. We did call the front desk and they suggested we open our window (which doesn’t open), turn off the unit (which didn’t help) or we can switch rooms. We decided to just stick it out and stay in the room but otherwise, it was a lovely stay.
4.5
Beautiful hotel with great staff (very accommodating and pleasant) and several fun dining options. Interiors are fantastic. Gym is well equipped. It can get a bit crowded in the bars during the weekend, but the energy is nice.
4.5
Great place to stay. Classic hotel and many restaurant options in the area. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Will stay there again while visiting Chicago.

Our experience at this hotel was marvelous. So much attention to the history of the building, and the staff all shared a real appreciation and love for the place. I felt like I was in Europe, where everything matters, not just how things LOOK. From the old tiles, to the glass panels, the filagree on the iron railings, the furnishings, it was just all so quiet, clean and relaxed, with great choices for places to it right in house. I would not want to stay anywhere else in Chicago! The only drawback for some might be that they didn't seem to have a business room with computers and printers, which is handy for checking in with airlines or printing off boarding passes. However, they happily took care of doing this for me at the front desk. GREAT place!

The room was lovely and we had a nice view but there were workers standing outside our room talking loudly. And then someone was smoking in their room and the smell permeated into ours. The bed was moderately comfortable.
4.5
I absolutely love the ambiance of this historical hotel. There is so much do do, between the game room, delicious dining at the Cherry Circle room, several unique bars in the facility including Cindy’s rooftop bar overlooking Millennium Park. My only disappointment was paying extra to overlook Millenium Park, only to find out that the windows were blocked by the trim on the outside of the building.
