Good stopover spot. Strange that they don’t open the breakfast until 7 am on the weekends. Creates quite a traffic jam with not enough seats to serve everyone who is waiting. Nice personnel. Great exercise room. Good coffee. Clean and comfortable beds. Trains run fairly frequently, but are not loud, mostly drowned out by A/C. Can’t hear them at all if you are on the backside of the hotel (hint)

I did not consider the proximity of the BNSF—freight trains were frequent & very loud. Additionally, the motorcycle noise from their early departure began early and continued through our departure time.

I just stopped as I was driving through. Picked the La Quinta because of the ratings by Hotels.com.
The facility was very well maintained clean and run professionally.
It met my every expectation and I would definitely stay there again.

Overall the stay was great but our room had a bad smell to it which took away from the overall stay. Great location passing through.

La Quinta have proven over and over as being clean, roomy and affordable.
Only issue with this location is the very busy railway across the street. No whistle blowing, but noisy just the same.
Try and get your room on the backside.

This hotel is quiet and comfortable. Our room was very clean. Check-in was efficient and courteous. The area around the hotel felt safe. We would definitely stay here again!

Place was clean and staff friendly. Pool was not clean and dogs in the eating area was disgusting.

Quick stayover in Gallup on our way to AZ. Very convenient right off the highway, nice room. Did not have breakfast there, as it started at 7AM, and we left before that time.

We love staying here. Check in was easy. Staff is friendly. They are pet friendly and everything was very clean. It’s our go to hotel when we travel between Texas & California

This hotel was OK. It was fine for one night, but wouldn’t want to stay there longer. Our room was not the cleanest and they put us on the floor right in between everyone staying with dogs, dogs who were barking after my 3 year old had gone to bed. Just think that could have been coordinated a bit better.

We have been traveling from North Carolina to California and now back to North Carolina. We have stayed at La Quintas all along the way and Gallop was the best in all categories. Service, room comfort, pet area, and breakfast. The best so far! Thank you Gallup LaQuinta!!

Great motel but not much in the way dog walking areas. This is my fifth or sixth time staying here, so you can tell I really do like it. The breakfasts are good also.

It would’ve been nice to have enough room for 5 in a room as our 3 children barely had a place to sleep. It is oversold on Expedia. I like the place overall though.

Because my daughter and I were traveling with her cat, the room we were given was in the same area as others with pets, mostly large dogs. Unfortunately, we had to listen to barking and/or whining dogs all night. Two people passed each other in the very early morning, and their dogs went ballistic. The owner of one of them started yelling at her dog. The walls are paper thin. I know the hotel is not responsible for dog owners who are irresponsible, but the walls could be soundproofed. Also, my daughter's cat doesn't make a sound. He stays in his kennel in the bathroom the entire time. We would have appreciated being located in a more quiet area of the hotel. We had a terrible night's sleep.

One-night stop during a road trip with a dog. The little dog park outside is a very nice feature. For a pet hotel, the place was quiet even with multiple dogs visiting. Overall, it is a nice hotel in a small circle of newer hotels off the interstate. I am not giving five stars for two reasons. First, the room doors have a quiet closing mechanism, but do not fully shut to lock completely. Be sure to pull the door shut on your own. Second, our room had a few cleanliness concerns. With my dog, I would stay here again. Without my dog, I might pick another hotel.

There are train tracks nearby with quite a bit of traffic. If your a light sleeper you will want to ask for a room on the opposite side. Overall pleased. They do allow animals, there were quite a few but no problem!! Would stay again

I booked a one bedroom suite and was given a king bed without any acknowledgment. It was blamed on system turnover? Disappointed

Tile grout missing. Room outdated. Bathroom had some updates (counter top). Bed uncomfortable, couch old and outdated (blue velvet from 70s). Desk chair old and frayed material. The Railroad tracks kept me awake all night with many passing trains. Would not stay there again.

Nice hotel and very comfortable bed. Staff was nice and accessible when we arrived. Our room faced the railway and we could hear the train at nighy, but we like white noise, so it was not an issue.

Nice property, friendly staff, spacious room with comfortable bed. Loud train passed by four times during the night. Breakfast was not very appealing and staff person was not restocking as needed.
