Great location, clean, great food and bar.
Only negative was pool area was not explained as costing extra when we used it and at 12 euro per person, per visit was very steep for 45 mins of use.
Minor complaint and would still highly recommend.

It was a very family friendly hotel.

Hotel had a good location, close to shops restaurant and ski lifts.
Breakfast was ok, no more and not less. We got a room with window facing a brick wall.
Staff was NOT very service-minded. Asked for an extra towel to go to the pool with my son… staff replied they had no extra towels. What hotel cannot provide an extra towel?

Don't bother with the mountain view room, because you won't get one!
We upgraded to a mountain view room, so was rather disappointed to end up a room at ground level overlooking nothing but the street and an opposite building. Upon raising this, we were ignored by the staff. Room also had areas of mould on the ceiling and in the fridge.
Besides that the room itself is ok and relatively comfortable, the breakfast was fine and the spa area is passable, although expect to wait at reception 15 minutes every morning booking your time slot.
There are probably better options out there for less money.

A return visit for us. I recommend and staff very friendly and helpful. Easy access to very friendly ski rental and slope access Car park trick to manouvre, parked at multi storey 10mins walk away.

Nice premises right next to skiing slopes and skiing rental shops. Good rooms. Good breakfast. Parking is paid (15€ for their private parking) and around 8€/day on the street next to hotel if you can find a spot. We had a bunch of loud kids in the corridor at night which was annoying but not the hotel's fault. Also the spa was a little crowded. Very good other than that.

Great hotel. Good buffet dinner.

The hotels was well located for skiing and provided decent breakfast and dinner. However, the structure is very old and basic; it is not for sure a 4 stars hotel. The most annoying part was the staff at the reception that were not absolutely capable of providing a normal customer service. I asked twice if I could use the spa shower the day of departure after the check out; they said yes the prior day but they refused to let me using it the following day. They simply said that it was for guests only and it was cleaned at that moment. Only when I told them that this would not make any sense they let me using it. In other words, they lied to me and were not helpful. Also my wife and I asked them to get out luggage in deposit twice instead of once, they were not happy at all. These people would definitely need some training on how to treat clients or use common sense.Last point wifi in the room did not work properly

The pool only open 4-8pm so very busy.
Someone on our floor got their room broken into
Not given clean glasses and mugs everyday/ when I called to get clean ones no one ever took away the dirty ones.
Cleaning the hotel room everyday just consisted of making the bed and nothing else.

Second time visiting Pas de la Casa and the first time staying at the Himilaia, i was very impressed by the hotel and especially the staff who were amazingly friendly and helpful with any request we had, nothing was too much trouble for them. The food was great, good selections each day and always plenty to pick from the buffet. The bar area and lounge was so comfortable, probably one of the best we stayed in for killing a few hours in the evenings as there are pool tables, dart board, card tables, a roaring fire plus big comfy sofas (oh and TVs showing sport and others shows). The only downsides to this place is that its up a pretty steep hill from town, its not a long walk but at altitude its slow going in the evenings. Its almost ski in and ski out so that helps in the day time for getting to the slopes. Our room had a view of a wall which was awful but we did change our booking the day before so I think we just got unlucky in a busy time of visiting.A special mention to Alicia and Nacho on Reception and Juan in the bar who were all fantastic.

I had a really good stay. The place was very clean, and the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming nothing was too much trouble. The location to the slopes was perfect too. The some of the food could have been a little hotter however they always had a good selection and had a chef cooking something different every night. If you want 5 star food this is not the place to stay and you should eat out but for the price I could not fault the hotel.

Very pleasant hotel to stay at, busy with groups of families staying there at the time, so the bar had frequent bustling atmosphere.Rooms were very tidy, comfortable and clean. Heating was on point, warming the room up very quickly.A bit difficult to get to from the main Andorra bus stop; walking up through the winding roads and up some street stairs is not that convenient, especially in the snow. However, it is about 5-7 min walk down hill to the nearby restaurants and shops, with lots of choice near by.Ski locker room is situated in the lower basement level through the hotel car park, so this is a bit difficult to navigate through. Even more so when youre in your ski gear and carrying skis, as the hotel has a strict no ski boots and skis policy in the hotel lobby, communal areas.

Room condition was not really 4star. Slightly run down and a little small. Wifi was difficult to access, breakfast was so so.

Pro: amazing view from room balcony.Cons: Terrible breakfast; Filthy room (had dust balls under the heater and BLOOD STAINS on the blanket); Location (15 minutes of walking up-hill with snowboard gear is no fun)We checked out of the hotel after one night!! (out of 7 booked in advance) and got a room in Sporting hotel - which I can only say good things about (but thats a different review) -- the only good thing was that the manager agreed to give us a full refund for the remaining 6 nights.

The hotel is excellent value for money and very close walk to ski slope (30m at most).
All the staff were extremely friendly and efficient and they really made the stay very pleasant and fun. Nothing was too much trouble for them and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Was on due to stay 1 night- and left 4 nights later! Really good room and bathroom size. Close to the ski lifts and friendly staff. The breakfast wasnt great but Im not sure if that was due to the fact it was the last week of the season and the hotel was very quiet. The spa area was great. Would have loved a double bed instead of 2 singles but I still enjoyed my stay. Ive stayed in many hotels in Pas and this is one of the best.

Good experience overall a few things detract it from being a great experience.
Good:
Proximity to slope
Quality of rooms
Friendliness of staff
12:00 checkout time
Quietness of area
Not so good:
The wifi is on par with a sub-saharan flee pit (average 0.01 mps)
Excessive parking costs (resort wide issue)
Parking space size (like trying to park a tank in a bike rack)
Pool & sauna is extra (€3) per visit
Price of bottled water in the room

Very close to slopes with underground ski/boot storage. Very friendly staff, clean hotel, good selection of food at the breakfast buffet, with fresh omelettes made at your request.
We did not use the spa facilities as there was an extra €3 fee/day and the fact quests were made to wear shower caps!!!

This was my third time in Pas de las Casa.
Hotel was ok, food not great and a bit of a walk to the slopes, up hill after long day skiing!
Not a bad hotel, but I would stay in others before I would choose to go back, as it was expensive.

I stayed here with my young family for a few nights before Christmas. The hotel on all websites is portrayed as being a four star with excellent facilities. I would have to disagree with this statement, I was lead to believe we were going to be staying in a large family room with two queen double beds, not the case. When we arrived we were shown to a room that was simply filthy, it had two small single beds and a pull out sofa bed that was stained and dirty, the floor was dirty as was the bathroom with someones hair in the sink, my wife freaked out. I went back to reception and informed the lady that this was simply unacceptable, to be fair she didn't seem surprised and lead me to a room that was more like what I thought we were getting, however the level of cleanliness left plenty to be desired. Whilst harping on I will also mention that parking was not included in the price and the so called leisure facilities weren't the best at all. The small swimming pool had loose tiling throughout the sides, the steamroom was without steam or heat for that matter and the jacuzzi had a layer of what looked like sand on its bottom. On the plus side the staff were excellent in their job and there was plenty on offer at breakfast. For a young family this resort is excellent but be warned the hotel rating system is not on par with what you might expect!!
