I needed somewhere near Gatwick and this was very reasonable, no problems with checking in, very friendly. However as the evening came I found the room quite cold, didn't see a radiator or anything, so I enquired at reception and was told there was an electric heater in the cupboard in the room, when I turned it on (it was an electric fan heater) I found it very noisy but it did warm the room up. I did manage to get some sleep but eventually had to turn heater off, I then was awakened by what I think was the oil heating (I think the boiler must have been right beside my room) turning on every 15/20 minutes.

A cheap and cheerful option when flying from Gatwick airport. A little of the main routes it was still easy to get into Crawley and to get to the airport in about 10 minutes. Was under the flight path of the airport but this was not a significant disruption. Would use again. (The car park was free to hotel guests)

The receptionist saved us more than once, so sweet and professional and the rooms were quaint

Friendly staff on arrival, sadly the room was in a poor state of repair. A socket was hanging off the wall exposing the wires, (though was partially hidden by a wardrobe), the bathroom light was stuck on and the walls were grubby, chipped, and in dire need of a coat of paint as was much of the gloss work.
However, the room was comfortable and the servicing team had clearly done as best a job as possible as the surfaces were clean and dust free.
During my stay there was some shouting in the small hours of the morning, and the hotel is situated directly under the flight path near the end of the runway at Gatwick so noise is to be expected both from early rising guests to get flights and the the jet engines - the price paid for such a close vicinity to the airport.
The grounds were well kept and it was a pleasure to look out onto the lawn first thing.

First time staying at Trivelles greeted by reception staff who were fantastic, very friendly knowledgeable and easy to approach. I would primarily return as the customer service i recieved was far better than i expected. Although so close to Gatwick it is incredibly noisy, but have booked my second stay due to mainly the staff, however i would expect it to be priced a little cheaper as there are no amenities and is very basic

Booked the executive suite but it didn't have any of the facilities advertised. Supposed to be a kitchenette but every single cupboard was empty. One rancid smelling fridge, a kettle, a microwave. No plates, cups, cutlery, stovetop. A mouldy teacup was left in the breakfast area for the duration of our stay. Bed was comfortable though there were stains on the pillows and towels. Directly in flight path so noisy, but you might enjoy the view. Garden looked great, just wish they had some chairs out there

The rooms were nothing like on the website.

Hotel is cheap and crap. Very basic. Dirty. I stayed there 4 nights for business trip and regret it. My room never been cleaned up in all entire time. Towels never been exchanged. Wals dirty, marks on the bed sheets, spiders and spider webs everywhere. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. I could hear my neighbours in the next rooms. Hotel very close to Gatwick airport what means that you can hear every single plane flying around - really noisy. Breakfast- if you lucky you will get one, very basic- cereal with cold milk and long term croissants... i do not recommend it for a business trip.
Staff very lovely. Nice view from the window.

Would have liked a later breakfast - breakfast finished at 9am on Sunday especially given checkout was 11am but overall good value for money

The room was shabby and dusty.
Breakfast was very basic.

We booked this due to its proximity to the wedding venue we were attending. The room was very small but clean enough. Breakfast was very basic.

Originally booked this hotel in a rush. Needed something close to the airport. But no one was on call 24/7 so we had to talk to a houskeeling worker to be able to store our bags. Ended up that we were at the wrong trivalles the whole time but the manager at the desk helped us out and thankfully had a room available. Great for a nights sleep, not for a long stay.

Stayed twice in the last couple of weeks.
Idyllic location, rooms were extremely clean and staff were welcoming and friendly. Would definitely stay again

Right in the path of Gatwick which means it’s conveniently accessible but unfortunately noisy too.

So carpet was filthy, muddy footprints. Silver fish in shower tray and light fitting. No heat in the room, slept with light on. Disgusting, you have been warned...

Big room, clean comfy bed. Broken dirty tiling in shower, poor water flow to shower, broken bathroom light switch, one bedside lamp with no shade, broken radiator valve ( I fixed this so I could sleep without the window open) Whole thing generally unloved. The poorest continental breakfast I can ever remember. I actually didn't see a soul in the morning. Despite claiming to have a bar and a restaurant there were neither. You can probably gather that I am unlikely to return

This place must make a huge amount of money for very little effort. So for gods sake, do some basic maintenance and show that you care for your customers! No mirror in the bathroom, shower control not working, giving only scolding hot water. Grubby carpet, linen and horrible paintwork. No customer service and damaged fencing in the car park does not inspire any sense of security. The place has an enormous amount of potential for nice getaways or short stays if only guests were not taken for granted.

After reading some reviews my expectations were low but very pleasantly surprised. Very clean, well maintained, friendly receptionist. Everything we needed for an overnight stay before a flight.

Expensive to get a taxi from and return to the airport, cost more than the room.

The room was huge with a separate living room but a tiny ensuite, no heating and no hot water on the toilet sink. It was a cold day/night so asked if there was a issue with the heating and been told no but clearly all the radiators was cold as it can be, was offered a notice small electric fan heater which worked for about 5min then off and on so not great, they replaced it with similar one which still noicy and not good for the size of the room. The morning just before check out no breakfast set up so I asked to a lady where would they serve the breakfast and she asked "im not been told there was anyone for breakfast, as you paid for breakfast?" I told her yes on Expedia and she managed to get some bit out so I could have breakfast, the dinning room again was cold and not nice as no much choice for breakfast. No one around for check out so just dropped the key in a box and left... Would not recommend in winter as it's a cold property and it's more like a B&B then a hotel... In summer or Spring maybe nice if you need just a night as it's close to the airport but no A/C, heating or lifts and lots of steps to bare in mind if you have luggage... Sorry but not a great experience and only being honest.

The manager of this hotel very young man, he is nasty rude. Chase down the corridor, swearing, stating mess in room though it was an unmade bed told me it smells when the only thing smells is him cooking his food in the corridor.he was standing outside my room listening to me. Couldn’t go out the front door with him watching me. Although being a regular guest to both hotels he has refused me to stay again and I have done nothing wrong. The plugs was hanging out the wall. One room my foot fell through the floor. There was a bug crawling all over the bathroom floor and hairs was found in the bed. Check out being 11 but cleaners open doors and bang on doors way before this.

Nice place, a bit like a country retreat feel without the spa but with aircraft noise. Didn’t bother me, it was perfectly convenient in that respect. Room was small and bathroom configuration was interesting. Good value though and I’d stay again.

Nice view from our window. Beautiful surroundings. Only heard one plane at night.
However, there were silverfish in our bathroom sink and bath. Room needs painting- lots of scuff marks on the walls. Mould on the window.

A beautiful countryside and place to walk. Breakfast was very poor not worth paying for at all. Everything was cheap quality and tasted horrible apart from the yogurt. The lock on the door was not working and the carpet not clean

This hotel is very reasonably priced and convenient for a single nights stay before flying out of LGW.
However its not good for multiple nights, their other hotel nearby is much, much better. That's why we switched for a 6 night stay.
Poor sound insulation, no hallway carpets, close to the road, noise from aircraft. Guests departing at 4:00am.

The hotel was tired and not in good condition. There were light sockets taped up for example. Stayed in the terrible weather storm. The fire alarm kept going off - 18 times so be exact whilst there. Was moved rooms and eventually hotels late at night - only after a complaint was raised. Breakfast was poor at the new hotel, albeit it was quiet. Complaint was raised and a refund refused.

Was once a classy hotel and room looks great but being now operated on a budget e.g cheapest loo paper ever, unable to give me any pasteurised milk (not UHT cartons) from a cuppa,
And beware that breakfast is not-just continental but a make it yourself (eg kettle in the dining room).
Disappointing for this once-lovely hotel

Staying overnight before getting a flight at gatwick. Check-in was super easy and the guy was really personable. Room was fine for the price with some interesting features! Slept really well but always have earplugs. Bed was comfy enough although pillows a bit hard! Really convenient for eating nearby and purple parking (who were also great and efficient!)

No heating. No hot water. They took payment first, then informed me of the problem. Asked manager and owner to sort problem with electric heaters - nothing done. Refund promised and as yet not made. Terrible.

Lovely and quaint hotel. It was on a little countryside lane, and fully fit the English country picture you may have.
