Our room had a balconly with a fabulous view of the mountains & surrounding area. The room was dated but clean and comfortable. Friendly check-in but no one was available at the front desk the next two mornings or later (10:00 PM) that evening when we came back from being out.

We were looking for a place to stay on a last-minute decision on a trip we were just on. The pictures looked reasonable, so we took a chance on it. Overall, the property is obviously showing its age, but it is well maintained and clean. It reminds me of those old motels you would see in the movies where you would spend a night after a long day of travel. I chose a room that by my dumb luck had a separate bedroom and bath from the rest of the living and kitchen area. I found out when we were checking in that some of the rooms are your typical small hotel rooms. Don't get me wrong, it did say on the description that the bedroom was separate, which I didn't notice, and it was a nice surprise to have a living room separate from the bedroom so that when I was up in the middle of the night, I didn't disturb my wife. While the rooms are dated, they are clean, and the beds were very comfortable and clean. There were ample towels and linens to meet our needs. When we checked in the gentleman at the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. He did inform us that the room which we had, which was up the hill from the main building probably would not have WIFI or spotty. He did say they were working getting that corrected. There are TVs in each room so you can watch want you want but if you need WIFI on the upper rooms it could be iffy or nonexistent. Overall, I would recommend this hotel because it is off the beaten path and you are a short drive from downtown & loads of other things

The panoramic view to town and mountain were unexpected but highly enjoyable. Spent the evening on balcony zipping a drink and watching the sunlight fading into darkness behind the mountains.

The room was an interesting remodel, being an older funky building i was pleasantly surprised by the remodel, however the room freshner was overpowering and my overhead neighbors were quite heavy footed that kept me awake. This was not the hotels fault.

Everything was very clean. Awesome mountain views. Staff was very friendly. Make sure U bring coffee, creamer, and sugar as the place doesn't supply any, but they do have coffee makers in the rooms. Just a small inconvenience that can be planned for.

I booked a delux room with a balcony but when I got there the reception sent us to another room. When I asked why we did not get the deluxe room he said someone was already in it. The room said continental breakfast. When I asked what time is breakfast he said they stopped doing breakfast several months ago. I told him I am disappointed I did not get what I paid for and with no breakfast. He said he is not responsible for what Expedia has advertised. Very dissatisfied.

This place is a little gem. It's older but the rooms have been updated and ours was very clean. Also they're very roomy and come with a real drip pot, fridge and microwave. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Great location on the edge of Blowing Rock and close to Boone. We'll be back.

We especially appreciated the friendliness and genuine care and consideration of the staff and property owner. The unit was roomy, nicely decorated and very clean. My sister and I arrived after hours, and everything was prepared for us when we got there. Darren, the property owner, turn on the heat, left the lights and TV on for us, and put ice on the room. He had left "real keys" at the office, a long with our paperwork. There is ample parking at each level.
The only thing with room for improvement, were the bathroom facilities. The Cliff Dwellers Inn is a landmark that has been around for many years. I feel that is was a great value for the area. The views are amazing on a warm sunny day. Shoppes on the Parkway is across the road. Thank you, Darren, for extending local charm and hospitality to your guests! Mona McGrew, Dandridge TN.

The room was dated. When I walked into the room all the adjoining room doors were open on the hole floor. The office didn’t open until 9am. There was an ice bucket but I couldn’t even find the ice machine. There was no sign.
Parking lot was very tight for my Ram pickup.

The room was huge but the shower was moldy and didn't drain properly. The fan didnt work, was missing a blade. There was a lot of dust on the ceiling and the musty room smell was strong.

The room was comfortable. Breakfast was ok. Just simple items to consume. Service was wonderful. I do recommend cleaning the ceiling above the fan. It’s a bit dusty.

PROS: I really liked the location of the property. It is placed in a convenient place close to everything I needed. The staff that checked me in was professional and friendly. Parking was easy, and the room was surprisingly large with a great view. Overall I felt very safe in the property.
CONS: I couldn’t sleep because the dust and mold in the room. It was unbarring. I constantly needed to step outside for fresh air. The bathroom had mold in the curtain and everywhere. The shower head was very uncomfortable, spilling water all over. I couldn’t use my phone or the TV at all because the WI-FI didn’t work. That and the mold were the most frustrating things. The pillows were very uncomfortable too.
I can see that if the mold would be taken care of, and maybe some minor remodeling, this inn would be popping. It was OK for a one night stay, but I won’t see my self returning.

Darren was extremely helpful getting us checked in and he also brought as a bag of ice before we could even get settled in the room. The bathroom aesthetic was a little outdated, but it was clean and the shower pressure/temperature was fantastic! One of the best showers I’ve had in a hotel. It‘s just as advertised online— a quaint, clean, and comfortable hotel for an affordable price.
Would definitely stay there again when back in Blowing Rock again!

Room was decent. The beds are super uncomfortable and the heat couldn’t make up its mind what to do so we ended up not sleeping most of the night. Very outdated - but the shower has AMAZING pressure so that’s a plus.

Enjoyed our stay. Need to make people aware if they are getting a attached room. Someone from the room next to us tried coming in thru the door in between rooms. Dogs barking and kids running around upstairs.Will ask for room on upper level next time.

Got to cliff dwellers had to call for someone to come and check us in. Room smelled musty. There werespider webs in the corners of the room, on the pictures and in the light fix. Mold and paint peeling in the bath room. The coffee pot did not work. We had to go buy an iron so were could touch up cothing before the wedding we were attending.

We had a great stay here! The staff wad friendly, the room was big and very clean, and we had our own porch with a beautiful view! Wifi was excellent. Location was convenient to everything. Parking was easy. Price was great! No complaints.

Came highly recommended. Was OK, nothing over the top. Proprietor was very nice. Room was clean but missing smoke detector and had a very loud ceiling fan. Window AC unit extremely loud. Tis the season for high rates but might be better options in town.
