The hotel staff was great and we loved the hotel, until we tried to go to sleep. We were on the 26th floor and had no idea that there was a club on the floor directly above us. Not only was it loud, the wall behind our beds was vibrating from the music. I did text the hotel on the message thread they were texting from and they said sorry, it closes at 2am. Well from 11-2 we had to suck it up. Getting up early the next morning to do a 9 hour drive with no sleep was not fun. I wish they would have told us at check in that there was a club above us or made that room cheaper since you could not sleep.

I was a little bummed there are no microwaves in rooms or anywhere in the building to heat your food , valet parking is extremely expensive, my kids where having a good time playing in room laughing and joking at 6:00 pm when concierge came knocking saying we making to much noise , restroom door broken , shower head broken , tv remote didn’t work , called for batteries no showed up

Staff, location, cleanliness, and gym were all great. Room decor could use updating compared to other Hilton properties, and some plugs didn’t work in the room. Even though it’s right next to the train, noise was not a problem at all.

Our stay at TheWit was very enjoyable. We were on the 17th floor and yhe view was fabulous! We had a side view of the Chicago river. The room was clean, the mattress was soft, and the pillows were down-filled. Our suite had a large shower with modern fixtures. The location was perfect close to several local attractions such as The Bean at Millennium Park, the riverwalk and boat cruises. The staff were very welcoming. Staff provided us with extra items, such as bottles of waters. The only downside is housekeeping - our room was never cleaned during our stay. Ultimately, we would stay at TheWit again

We had a wonderful anniversary stay at TheWit! We had a corner, river view rom and it was amazing. Our room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. The restaurant at the hotel was great. We ate late night dinner there one night, ordered breakfast from there, and also would pop in and out for drinks. We would definitely stay here again!

The Wit is a lovely hotel in and of itself. However, what the Wit really has to offer is the phenomenal staff! It is rare these days to find even one person in hospitality who shows they care, but from the first moment on, we were wowed with every interaction we had. At the front desk, Ronnie was immediately welcoming. Her kindness and spirit never wavered throughout the visit, and her genuinely caring nature shined day and night, no matter the circumstance. Nathan, at concierge, was a joy. His can-do attitude and patience was not overlooked, and again, a joy of spirit was appreciated and noticed. At the door, Hector was, I believe, the embodiment of what any hotel manager or owner would want to see. His purely joyful energy permeated, and I would challenge anyone to even attempt a sour moment with him at the entrance. In State and Lake, the lobby bar and grill, Mario shined as a star as well, with easy conversation and pride in his work. There were many others amongst the staff with cheerful nature and a fast smile, from the housekeeping staff to the hosts, servers, and bartenders, as well as other front desk personnel. I can highly recommend this hotel. The building itself is fine, the rooms acceptable, and everything was well-maintained and clean, from windows to floors and everything in between. What really stood out was the long forgotten spirit of hospitality that simply and seamlessly existed as if by nature from their well-picked staff.

Location location location! The Theater is steps away, the Bean is walkable, Navy Pier is a short drive, and it’s close to the Blue Line to get back to O’Hare. Carrie and Ronnie up front are wonderful, and the rooftop lounge is a whole vibe. And the views are great! You won’t regret this stay!

We were at theWit for 5 nights for a summer getaway, and enjoyed it very much. While the facility is nice, the staff was amazing. From those manning the front desk, concierge podium, those greeting the guest, housekeeping and the personnel at the State & Lake Tavern (Miguel, Karen, Mario). Everyone was pleasant, professional and extremely personable. While the "Roof" seems perfect for an upbeat and energy driven evening, my wife and I are always looking for a sophisticated and elegant setting with music (i.e. soft jazz - piano) to enjoy dinner and a cocktail. This would have negated the need to look elsewhere for our favorite venue. That being said, whoever is responsible for staffing is doing a remarkable job. The hotel is extremely convenient with most everything we enjoyed being within walking distance. Hope to return soon!!

Arrived around 12;30 pm and was told there would be a wait for my room as hotel checkin availability was 4pm. For $50 I could acquire early check. ther e was then a $150 damage deposit required as a hold on my credit card, when I received my receipt via text the information received included a Mandatory daily destination fee of $25 per person refundable via credits to hotel restaurant, convenience store or spa services. This surprise of multiple fees after paying for my destination is frustrating.You have no other choice but to agree once you arrive. Complain to corporate later as desk staff had no answers other than this fee structure began in January.
